Donut Wheel

Our family has driven by this store for years on our way up to Phoenix. We finally decided to stop early evening on a recent Sunday. We got there around 6p so we didn't expect a lot of selection or very fresh donuts, but we were pleasantly surprised. The worker was friendly and explained that they didn't have as many choices as they do in the morning, but there were still plenty. They're known for their cherry glazed donuts, but we went for a glazed buttermilk, glazed raised and a sugar raised. All the donuts were fresh and tasty. The raised donuts were soft and had a good chew to them. Definitely recommend this local donut shop.

I come here nearly every weekend. It is very consistent and the donuts and pastries are always delicious!!! It is probably my favorite donut shop I've ever tried except for one in SV. I love the simplicity of their donuts, the flavors, the varieties and I enjoy their donuts don't feel overly sweet or indulgent. They also have extremely delicious and fluffy croissants which is nearlyImpossible to find ones of similar quality in Arizona.

I think they call it Donut Wheel because they spin a wheel about which donuts they give you. Their donuts are tasty (make sure to try the cherry!) but I've never had an order be totally correct. Last time the "chocolate covered old fashioned" ended up being a "maple glazed." My fault, I should know to check my order before I leave by now. But if you enjoy a little bit of chaos in your donut order give them a try.

Open 24 hours which is always good, when the craving hits for sweets & even though I went later in the evening there was a decent selection of donuts to choose from. The service was good and they also have a 24 hour drive through.

What's not to love about freshly made donuts, long John's, and sweet treats? The price is fair, the service is always friendly and the donuts are consistently delish!

This is probably my favorite donut restaurant in Tucson! The doughnuts are always fresh! My favorite is the sugar raised doughnut - absolute perfection! They are always fast and courteous too.

Whenever I return to this location I promise to not return but in a moment of hunger/weakness in logic I return. Every time I do I experience the same disappointment. Yesterday I arrived at 7:30 am (thinking surely things will be fresh) nope, another disappointment for the same things...Stale donuts this early is inexcusable. I will no longer give my business to this place. Every donut I bought was stale, buttermilk bar & donut, the huge apple fritter (because a buddy at work said they still had the crispy edge, nope) and the custard filled. That was the best one of all of them but still not that good! Bottom line, will not return. If you want the best donuts go to Alvernon Donuts or drive to Benson Donuts. Otherwise forgetaboutit! Yelp on!

Got to the shop at 6:30 am on 11/06 for a birthday celebration. Wanted a ma and pa type shop instead of Dunkin Donuts. I felt like I might as well have just went to the gas station. The cinnamon roll and cinnamon crumb cake donut tasted like they were at least a day old. Very disappointing since we love getting a delicious FRESH donut on special occasion.

I've bought donuts here over the years. On 1/9/25, I went there for a dozen. Somethings changed! Although donuts are fresh, they don't taste the same. They've changed something. There is not as much flavor. I tried Chocolate Glazed, Chocolate frosted, and several others. That good doughnut cakey flavor is gone. Prices are up and the quality went down. Did they not think anyone would notice? I'll be going here less.
