Divine Bovine Burgers

Sunday brunch after church on a Sunday in the Old Pueblo.It's been a while for the Bovine so we made our way over to Wilmot just south of Speedway.This has to be the best burger joints in Tucson, every time, they just crush it.Today was the burger with green chile and tots, plus the kid's special for wifey.Both burgers cooked exactly as we ordered. Fresh soft bun, fabulous fries, and those one-of-a-kind tater tots. I love hamburgers, and Divine Bovine delivers every single time.

I had the jalapeño burger. It is cooked to order and came out made correctly. The place has a reputation for the best burgers in Tucson and I do have to say the burger was delicious. I must be getting old because the prices are steep when everything is ordered a la carte. A burger, drink and fries can run you close to 30 dollars, which blows my mind.The burger is great, but at a certain point 15 to 20 dollars for a burger a la carte is losing the initial premise of "fastfood." Artisan burgers are great, but it's more of an "experience" that a place to eat. I experienced the burger, it was good, I can't get passed spending $ 8.99 on kids meals without a drink when I'm pretty sure, I can still go to Red Robin and get a descent burger for $ 9.99 for myself. Full circle, the wooden handle on the water has a poetic and thematic significance that I'm sure you can get by my frustration. I wanted to go into depth about the taste of the burger, but I am disappointed that my kids kept asking for drinks and I wasn't prepared to spend 50 dollars for fast food.

One word: DELICIOUS!Burgers are usually pretty boring and standard but Divine Bovine takes them, and the rest of their food, to a whole new level. They have some very unique burgers and sides and everything sounded amazing. I ended up ordering the namesake burger, The Divine Bovine, and a side of fried pickles. My friend ordered the BBQ Burger with a side of poutine fries. The fountain drinks they have a so good and not your normal soda. I had a black cherry flavor soda and it was so good. My burger and the fried pickles were delicious but definitely come here when you're hungry. The portions are huge...I ended up taking most of it home for leftovers. I would absolutely recommend this place if you're looking for unique and delicious food. You won't be disappointed. The service was also very friendly..our waitress checked in many times which was great.

The people behind the counter were very nice and helpful. You walk up and order at the counter and they bring it all out. They also clean up the table after so you can relax and enjoy your food. Our party ordered a classic cheeseburger, the devine, a build your own with jalapeno. I ended up with the build your own burger with goat cheese on a lettuce wrap. A larger order of fries to share and a side of the tater tots. Everyone was very happy with their food. A few tips: 1. These burgers are HUGE!2. The tater tots you get 15 in the side which is really good for the price.3. Everything is grilled right where you order so you will smell like the place.

Love this place! Always bring guests here when they come to visit. There are so many options and they are very accommodating if you want something special. I recommend brussel sprouts with two patties crumbled in. The dining room is open to the kitchen and the servers hustle is much appreciated. They also have a nice selection of adult beverages in the cooler if you so partake.

Divine, indeed. A full five stars!I've had a couple of different burgers here, to my delight. Superb. The fries are also incredible. Love the shakes. The pickles are outstanding. I was told he grows his own cucumbers just for the pickles. I think he grows other things for his restaurant, too.I order my burgers medium well, and they come medium well. Not over or underdone, every time!The service is always attentive and super friendly and helpful. One time I forgot my card, and they don't take Apple Pay. The cashier suggested she pay for it and I Apple Pay her back. Wow, super! How's that for being helpful? Hey, Mr. Manager, she saved a sale!Top notch burger place, one of the best in Tucson.5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money.4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business.3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it.2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money.1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Ordered for pick up recently and had a pleasant experience! Friendly counter service, fast turnaround on the burgers and a delicious margarita on tap while I waited ! The inside was clean and they have a good amount of seating. Definitely try the house made tots! Great burger place!

Food is still amazing. We shared Patty's burger, tater tots , and Brussels. The horchata was outrageous! But the purpose of updating my review was to talk about the service. Donovan was handling orders at the register; he was chatty and so patient and really cared that we got exactly what we wanted, even though we were slowpokes. Payton delivered our meal, neatly sliced in half and with an extra plate. The tots and Brussels arrived blisteringly hot and were placed in the middle so we could share. Payton asked what sauces we would like and brought catsup, ranch, and the lemon aioli, our new fav. She checked back several times to make sure all was perfect, which it was. Great service all around. The piece de resistance was that when Donovan cleaned the tables next to us, he actually sprayed those tables while holding up a cloth to block errant overspray that might have reached us. I have not seen that courtesy before.

I was craving those homemade tater tots, so I got them to go. I also got the Flying Buffalo Burger with blue cheese crumbles. Everything was good.

I read the yelp reviews prior to going and I don't believe the very few bad ones they had. This friendly crew works well together, cooked my burger well, and gave great service. The restaurant was clean and well organized. After customers ate, the waiters were out there right away cleaning up after them.I had my burger without the sauce, cheese, & bun (for DF & GF). It was a generous portion and delicious! I had never had pork belly before... it was glazed. Well worth the money and I'll visit again some time.
