Really bad experience this week. We've used Dickmans for huge meat orders for over 20 years for our company BBQs. We ordered 35lbs of skirt steak for Carne Asada. Picked up the bags, brought them home before the party. We would grill it. What Dickmans provided us with for $335 was scraps (too small to grill!) from all of their other meats in marinade. When calling them to get it straightened out,Zachary told us the manager would call us. He did not. When we called back and asked for the manager, my husband was hung up on. We won't use them for our parties again. We have 40 people to feed and a much harder preparation than we would have had if we'd gone to Houghton Meat Market.Mary B.

Everyone there is very friendly and nice. Only negative thing I can think of are thePrices. A bit high but they do have ok deals.

Ugly steaks to go. Traveled to a friends house in Thatcher Az. They said best steaks they have ever eaten.

Update from my last review... I can no longer have bread so I haven't been coming here for sandwiches anymore... but for ugly steaks. My one and really only complaint, is that they do not have grass fed, organic or anything like that. I assume most of their meat still uses hormones and antibiotics as well, since they don't say otherwise. It can be hard to find good steaks. And their ugly steaks are always fresh, gorgeous cherry red. They are popular, so they go through them... but some of their other meat you can see has been there awhile and pretty brown and kind of gross. The guys are always super friendly and very helpful. 5 star for them all the way, they'll probably make you laugh too.

This is the place I missed more than any other when I lived in other cities. Every return to Tucson meant uglies, burgers, and sausages. The Polish garlic and sweet Italian sausage are amazing. I've visited butcher shops in several other cities and none come close to Dickman's. The service is always great as well. I can't recommend this place enough.

Ordered large turkey breast for Thanksgiving. It was perfect! Great butcher shop! I ordered 2 weeks before. Reasonably priced.

I go to Dickman's to specifically to pick up venison and I just discovered their Gyro meat, very delicious. I prefer the Dickman's on Broadway. It's a little bit more out of my way, but it's well worth it.

It has been a while since going to the Oracle Rd location in Tucson. The first impression was it was dimly lit and junky looking, the center area crowded with boxes that appear to have reused for years, both crumbling and not clean in appearance. The freezer area had the appearance of not be well attended. The worst part of the experience was the employee interaction. The guy who was working with customers was as unwelcoming as any store employee I have ever seen, giving the impression that customers were expected to have no interaction except state the meat order and leave. Ask a question and the response was brief if not curt, turn and walk away, and thats that, no follow up, no interest in being a "friendly neighborhood meat market". The vibe was of five or six working there had just had a disagreement, were angry, and just barely holding together. Tension in the air. An older lady was barked at to go around the corner, a few feet away for a sandwich or whatever order, where there were no signs to do so and no one there to assist. The guy a few feet away certainly didn't walk the steps to help nor did any of the other workers, no one said it will be just a moment, it was a continuation of the vibe that all there had no intention of working as a team. Leaving there I had a the impression that the look of the place, the blah dismissive interaction attitude with staff, added up to a depressing unpleasant place to come back to, which I have never done again.
