Dickman's Meat and Deli

Be careful doing business with Dickman's Meat and Deli! (This is not the first negative experience we've had BUT this one definitely tops them all!) Location: The Oracle locationWhen this happened: September 22, 2024 around 2:15-2:30pm. To start, my husband was standing and waiting about 10 min. This business was NOT busy. My husband went to get some meat and there was 3 other customers waiting to be helped. There was 4 people working literally just standing and talking to each other not helping ANYONE. First older gentlemen that was first in line in front of my husband spoke up and said very loud and clear "hello, I need to be helped." The 4 workers turned around and looked at him and everyone waiting and then turned back around and kept talking amongst themselves. My husband spoke up right after that and said loud and clear "this gentlemen in front of me needs to be helped!" All 4 workers turn around and rudely said "we'll be with you in a moment!" And turned back around and kept talking again Older gentlemen again spoke up loud and clear and said "you guys are standing around not doing anything and yoh have a line of people waiting." 1 worker turned around and said "what do you need?" Older gentlemen and my husband both looked at each other and said "I will not be coming back here again!" Needless to say they all had major attitudes and standing around with thumbs up their a$$.Ps: if owners can contact me about this I'd love to speak to you.

Please read the entire review. Instead of changing it, I have left my first somewhat angry reaction and later I added the correction.If only they could properly train their staff. I bought some salads which were fine, tuna, ham, and slaw. Then I asked for a smoked turkey leg. She told me where to look. I brought it back and asked, "This is smoked, correct?" She assured me it was. "We only have smoked turkey legs. If it's in the case, it has been smoked." Later today I will bring the defrosted unsmoked, raw leg back. Of course, they won't refund. How can they with no price left on? Of course, they will say I should have known it wasn't smoked. And, of course, I will leave unhappy. So, be sure you ask at least two staff the same question before believing the answer and even then be prepared to be frustrated. I take it back. I received an apology and a refund. Even management thought it should have been smoked and said they didn't know how the mistake was made.

I had called ahead for veal/calf liver but it didn't come in Next delivery day Tuesday. I ll be back. Plan b , Wisconsin Brauts and a Bbq steak for the grill. Best from here.

Great selection and good cuts of many types of meats. I buy many of their products including sandwiches as well.

Amazing place! Dickman's reminds me of delis in New York City when I worked there back in the 1980's. Great corned beef!

I've been a fan of Dickman's deli for years. A month ago I saw they were taking preorders for turkeys, and I ordered one. Perfection! The turkey was the best one I have ever roasted and its carcass is now simmering into the best turkey soup I've ever made. And I've been doing this for more than 70 years. I can't say enough about the quality of the food they stock, or the people who work there. Simply outstanding!

Great steaks, fantastic service, excellent meat case. Variety of hard to find frozen meats.

I enjoy the products at this store; however, the last two times I went the worker was not wearing gloves. He reached into the ground meat fingernails and all and then preceding with getting the other orders without watching his hands. The last time I went same thing almost at closing. A different work got my meats and wiped his dirty hands in his dirty apron. He also checked me out at the register, touching the register, bread and vegetables with the same dirty hands. I noticed 2 workers in the back wearing gloves but not in the front. Makes no sense. Where's Bar Rescue?

While a business is not allowed to review another business on Yelp, we bought the most delicious 17 pound prime rib from Dickman's Meat and Deli! The roast was trimmed, boneless, tied and ready to go when we picked it up. They also gave a few good tips on seasoning and use of a wonderful tool called a Meater Thermometer. Their prices are competitive and their quality second to none. Our guests said it was "the best" prime rib they ever had!

I so appreciate the quality of Dickman's meat. My family has been buying meat there for years! I always receive excellent customer. Cody is one that absolutely stands out. He always goes the extra mile for me . He is truly an asset to Dickman's at Broadway and pantano. Stephanie
