Uhm, since my last review, I've been talking up this place with all my 2A buddies. They all have negative opinions and say they will never do business here again. I will not spell out the specifics here but the complaints range from pricing to customer service being sales oriented instead of being helpful and customer oriented. I feel this is fair to make as a review as my last review of 5 stars was just my impression walking in and doing a visual.5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money.4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business.3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it.2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money.1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Just wanted to add--last time I went there they seemed to have added new staff and the service was good.

I was looking for a replacement for my S&W M&P AR 15. Our trailer was broken into while staying at the Best Western in Wichita and it was one of the $6000 worth of items stolen. They didn't have anything in the price range of that model, but the person "helping" me showed me a used palmetto armory model. I asked the price and he showed me a round green tag saying $400, and said $400. Finding out I was a veteran, said I would get a military discount. We went through the background check, and he tore off the tag, gave it to a cashier who rang it up, along with a couple extra magazines. She stapled the price tag to THEIR paperwork instead of giving it to me. Shame on me. I shoved my card in the slot, finished the purchase, and went home. Next morning, I was sending the receipt to my insurance company, and I noticed the price on it was $499.99. Not $400. I called and the person answering the phone said it was on the wall for $499.99. Of course as they kept the tag, I couldn't argue. I tried to convince myself, I made the mistake, and had there been the military discount on the receipt as promised, I might have. At any rate, if you buy from them, do not let them remove the tag from your purchase. Or at least ask if the "military discount " was adding $100 to the price!

I am looking to get my first gun. I'm a little nervous but Went in hoping to ask some questions and ready to buy and buy accessories etc. I look around a bit but no one to help me. One guy tells me three different times he'll be right with me but then goes to someone else when he's free. At one point there are two guys helping one customer and I'm just standing there like an idiot. Finally someone comes and offers to help me, shows me one gun gun for like two minutes and then says he has to help someone else and walks away. I wait a bit longer and no one offers to help. So I left. I get it, I'm not a gun guy, I didn't go in speaking the lingo and being all confident in what I wanted. But that's why I went to a store, hoping to get help. Nope.

It was my first time here at Diamondback Shooting Sports after being recommended by buddies who spoke highly of their training programs. I started off with the CCW training course. The course was thorough and they walked us through the steps for the application and the fingerprinting was included in the course price. They pretty much give you everything you need to apply (documents and knowledge!) and they leave you to put in the money order and send the docs to AZ DPS. I cannot speak highly enough of the instructor, Sean. He was friendly, knowledgeable, politically neutral, and was eager to answer everyone's questions.Additionally, I took a stroll through the store and noticed that their ammo prices are the best in town, by far. Even better than online prices before shipping. They also have a decent selection of ammo/firearms.

Was looking to get a new Ar10 or equivalent. Told, with a serious face, that they don't have any 308 Win rifles. Maybe be that's true, but obviously missing out on a big market.

I have been a customer at Diamondback since they had the little store on Kolb. However, the last time I went there, they demanded ID before they would make any sale. Ammo, holster, cleaning supply, whatever they want an ID and have a big sign behind the register saying so. The cashier said that was so they could contact the customer if they made a mistake and over charged them. That doesn't inspire confidence in their operation and seems way too much like a California style of business. At this point, there are much better options for supplies online.

Summary: Felt like 'bait & switch'.... you be the judge.Trying to purchase a pistol for my SIL for Christmas. Should be simple.Earlier this week, I sent DSS an email explaining what I wanted to do. No answer. So, I called today and spoke to "Seth". I explained again what I wanted to do. I explained I was looking at the pistol on their website and I asked if they had it. He assured me they did. He advised me to come in, figure out the price with tax, and they'd make a gift card for the full amount. They'd hold the gun and when my SIL came in in January they'd swap the card for the gun.Great! I got to the store. Seth was "too busy with inventory" to see me. I stood around waiting and waiting for someone else. A kid in a red bandana offered to help. It became clear he was new and had no idea how to proceed. He went and got the shaved-head guy in the DSS t-shirt to talk to me. He told me that I could not buy the pistol at the price on their website; I would have to pay the higher (~50%) in-store price. He dove into a rather logically untenable explanation and then started 'mansplaining' how to calculate what an hour of my time was worth.I stopped him. I said I have a PhD and an MD and I do not appreciate being talked down to; especially by someone who is trying to sell me something . He went and got Seth.Seth was now available. Seth claimed we'd had a "misunderstanding". He would not sell me the gun on the website at that price in the store. He advised me to pursue a circuitous route to purchasing it. I declined.Interestingly, as Seth spoke, the kid in the red bandana mentioned that the gun on-line was of lesser quality and that's why it was cheaper. Another reason I declined. This incident may be a simple misunderstanding, but my "BS" meter told me to walk out. I won't be back.

Everyone there is friendly and accommodating. They greet you with a smile and a helpful attitude. Never had a problem with anyone in the store.Selection is very limited. They just don't carry enough guns in the store to find specific items you might be looking for. If you want a generic AR, or a generic pistol it's not a problem, but when you start getting specific like I'm looking for a Sig P320X Legion - nope. A CZ Scorpion Evo 3 - nope. A Ruger American Gen 2 in 6.5 Creedmor - nope.Value is hard to rate because if they only have generic firearms their prices are fairly generic like everyone else.
