Diamond Lil's has the most beautiful selection of vintage I've ever seen. Kathy, one of the owners, was telling me how vintage shop owners from all around get their inventory from Diamond Lil's (and mark it up a lot). They have a beautiful selection of clothing--mostly 40s, 50s, and 60s women's wear. The front room is primarily western wear, men's and women's. The shop is small, but every item in there is incredible. Their inventory obviously rotates, but when I came in, they had a big collection of perfectly preserved 1920s mesh purses, three beautiful Gunne Sax dresses, many more prairie dresses and other dresses, coats, lingerie, boots (mostly cowboy boots, some 1940s lace-up boots, and more), art deco purses, tin boxes, vests, shirts, compacts, jewelry, greeting cards and more. You can't beat the prices. So happy I went "off the beaten path" to find this place. Best to get directions to El Corral steakhouse as Diamond Lil's has the same address and is located on the opposite side of the lot.

This place is off the beaten path! It is in a historic, early Joeseler home located in the same parking lot as El Corral Prime Rib Steakhouse, just off River and Campbell. This is a well-kept secret, as they don't advertise anywhere, don't have a website, and rely on the business of El Corral to send curious customers over. After talking to one of the owners (the owners are sisters), I found out that the family has owned the house since the 1970's and had a serious antique/vintage collecting habit. They decided to put the business in as a kind of hobby-enabler. The ladies have very good taste, I must say. Looking through their shop was a blast. It is set up well, clean, and every thing was neat. Their prices are excellent and they had things for everyone. (Even some great men's shirts and boots.) They put a "man bench" out front as well for the husbands who come for steaks next door to wait on.I got a great history lesson from the owner about the neighborhood and buildings, and found some great silk scarves for my own collection. I will definitely be back, and am proud that this little business is in my neighborhood! Some points to consider:* In the winter/spring during peak season, their hours are 3-9pm, Tuesday through Sunday. In May their hours remain 3-9pm but their days open are Wednesday through Sunday.* They only ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS for minimum $20 purchase.* They don't have a phone. Just take your chances and stop by during the hours listed above. It is worth the trip!

Wow! What a hidden treasure! This little gem of a store is really off the beaten path. Kind of hidden in plain sight within an older Tucson territorial style home (formerly Joeseler Village). It's in the same parking lot as El Corral restaurant off Campbell and River. I've been here about 3 times now and ALWAYS find something truly unique and interesting. Great inventory of true vintage and antique items - from clothing to jewelry, handbags, shoes, vintage western wear, tiara's, flapper era, luggage, toys, children's vintage clothing, and much, much more. This locally owned and operated business belong to two sisters. I am told they have owned the home the store is now housed within since the 70's and that vintage/antiquing was a serious hobby turned business for them. The store is well organized and clean. They carry quality inventory. You will not find rummage sale/thrift shop 'junk' here; things may have wear or be used, but are still in good shape/condition and well displayed. A truly well kept secret as they don't advertise anywhere. They don't have a Facebook page or website; hours are a little unconventional (late afternoons to 9 p.m. on weekends, as an example). Call ahead before visiting to double check store is open. Owners are quite knowledgeable, pleasant and the prices are excellent. Cash or check only - no debit or credit cards. Stop in and browse if you have a long wait to be seated at the restaurant, or stop by after your meal ... or, just go to go! Enjoy!
