Desert Pearl Mushrooms

I have been taking Small Batch Masters' Mix Complex Tincture for menopause and it has been a lifesaver. I had horrible brain fog and was exhausted by the middle of the day. One of my friends told me to try Lion's Mane so I found Desert Pearl at the Rincon Farmers Market with the tinctures and thought I would give it a try, and it works amazingly. I feel so much better during the day and my brain fog is so much better. I sound like a commercial reading this but seriously it worked for me. My doctor had me on a antidepressant for the brain fog and it sucked, it changed my sense of taste and as a foodie I was not having that, so yeah this stuff is the best. It does not taste great but it works so well. If you are a woman going through menopause I would suggest giving it a try.

I'm from a small town where mushrooms were limited to two options, white or brown button mushrooms or portabella mushrooms. The first time I discovered DPM I was shocked a place in town sold gourmet mushrooms to the general public at an affordable price. If you go to Whole Foods and compare the price and freshness, you can't compare at all! What's ever better is their local to Tucson and some really awesome people behind the table. They aren't pushy for your money and have so much knowledge for their customers who are curious, and like me never had access to mushrooms that aren't normally located in our grocery store.They also are at all the heirloom markets in town so they are always accessible during the week!If you are into exploring gourmet mushrooms to spice up your cooking game, seriously check them out!

Super fresh mushrooms and staff is very nice and engaging at the farmers markets. They are knowledgeable about the varieties of their mushrooms and are super friendly. We love getting a variety box to make for dinner and the mushrooms are SO FLAVORFUL My husband also likes the cordyceps tinctures and says it makes him feel energetic in the morning. We love supporting this local company !

Wow, Desert Pearl Mushrooms are a total gem! You know when you hear about a business or see photos swirling around Instagram and you've been meaning to try them out but just haven't yet? Yep...that was the case for me with DPM. I finally did it! I organized a Yelp event with local Chef Angie Staats and she is so wonderful at showcasing local ingredients in her recipes. DPM is one of them. For our event we learned how to cook Cauliflower steaks with oyster mushrooms. She uses DPM, so I was compelled to do the same and I am sure glad that I did! Buying mushrooms from them is super easy too. DPM has a beautiful website that lists all of their farmers market locations in town. I bought mine at the Steam Pump ranch farmers market in Oro Valley. They were easy to locate and their representative was so friendly! Honestly, I never knew a mushroom could taste so good. And I didn't know that they are a complete protein... game changer! Desert Pearl currently cultivates several varieties of Oyster and King Oyster mushrooms, Lion's Mane, Coral Tooth, Chestnut, Pioppini, and several other specialty mushrooms. Again, their website offers a ton of information on their mushrooms as well as a bunch of recipes that are vegan friendly. Next time you see them at the farmers market, stop by their booth even if it's just to look at the mushrooms. They are beautiful!

These are my favorite mushrooms to buy and definitely a treat when I can find them! I first started getting these through Laura's Locals at the Santa Cruz farmers market and then most recently at the rillito market but they are always great! Fresh and plenty of varieties, I was so happy to try their mixed package this last time and made some really great pasta dishes. So far my favorite has been their Lion's Mane but I'm happy with whatever they offer. So happy to have found them!
