Excellent Doctor and front office team. Super efficient, great communication and did a great job with my procedure. I live in Scottsdale but went to this practice in Tucson because of how they handled my inquiry and gave me answers in a quick and well informed manner. They also do not use a call center to handle their calls which was a big selling point. Procedure was quick, painless and i healed in 2 days.

My experience with Desert Mountain Urology was amazingly professional and calming. Every story I've heard from peers who have had a vasectomy have these stories of pain and discomfort. Maybe I'm one of the few but 24 hours after my procedure and I feel like I can run already. No pain or discomfort.The procedure itself, well, after a small pinch, was painless. The interaction with Dr. Chavez during the consultation and procedure again, professional, calming. I'm recommending this team and Dr. Chavez to anyone who has decided to have a vasectomy. Right now I feel so good I've got to fight the urge to do everything I was instructed not to.....

I think it's pretty safe to say that I was really nervous when I was looking into getting a vasectomy. Dr. Anthony Chavez was recommended to me by a friend who had consulted with him and got the procedure. When I first met with him, he was very professional and comforting. He answered all of my questions and clearly explained the process. He even made me laugh a few times. While meeting with him for my initial visit, it's almost as if I completely forgot why I was there in the first place. On the day of the procedure, My nerves were worked up again. Again, Dr. Chavez and his nurse were able to get my mind off of it. Before I knew it, the procedure was done. I was in and out in probably about 20 minutes. I was a little sore, but by the next day I was all good. Dr. Chavez is definitely a people person and you can tell he cares about his patient. I was able to get scheduled pretty quickly. They also put you on a stand by list for any cancellations. If I could, I would have Dr. Chavez as my primary care physician. Not only was Dr. Chavez amazing, but all the staff as well. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone who needs urology services.

My husband was pleased with Dr. Chavez in Tucson, Arizona when he recently had a video consultation with him. He wanted to discuss a future surgical procedure that he plans on having sometime soon.The doctor was very personable and he explained in great detail what my husband could expect when having this surgery. He discussed recovery time with him as well as all the need to know important details such as the risks and benefits about the procedure.This video consultation set my husband's mind at ease. He is looking forward to meeting Dr. Chavez in person in the near future.He highly recommends this urologist!

Dr Chavez was great. Everything took a total of 15 mins! The staff was great, everything went fast and easy. Highly recommend!

I had an overall good experience. First I went in for the meet with Dr. Chavez. This was in no way pressuring for me to think longer about not having more kids. He never tried to talk me out of it. Dr. Chavez is a personable guy who can be asked any question and get a straightforward response. Also, during the initial meet, Dr. Chavez focused on the interaction with me, without distractions. I left after scheduling the date of the actual vasectomy. The front desk staff were always friendly with me. My interactions with the front desk consisted of scheduling the consult over the phone, scheduling the procedure in person, a couple follow up calls to confirm the date and time of the procedure, and checking in and out in person on the day of the vasectomy. For the nuts and bolts of what guys probably want to know, the procedure wasn't that bad. I'm recovering right now and would do it all again in a heartbeat. Dr. Chavez came in after the nurse had prepared me. The syringe injections were pretty uncomfortable, but you could tell Dr. Chavez was trying his best to make sure I was comfortable. The nurse (shame on me for not getting your name) was great at helping to make sure I was comfortable during the procedure. The whole ordeal was done in about 15 minutes. I was able to walk out with instructions for care and follow up with another clinic for quality assurance (checking count of swimmers to make sure I'm firing blanks). It was not a good time. I don't think any average guy does backflips over the idea of getting needles and tools in his sack. However, the pain and terror was minimized, in my opinion, to the extent possible. I'll do this and the recovery 100 times over before I have another kid. For guys that are on the fence or procrastinating it, just give a call for the consultation scheduling. Talk with Dr. Chavez and get the ball rolling. The hardest part is picking up the phone and scheduling the consultation. Once that is done, it almost feels like a point of no return since the ball is rolling. If you are worried about cost, check with your insurance. Mine covered almost the entire thing.

Dude, went here yesterday with Dr. Chavez. I sat on the table, did my vasectomy procedure and literally he was done with one of balls and I didn't even know he had started. It was quick, easy and overall a great experience. Took maybe 15 minutes at most since I walked into the door for my appt. They'll explain aftercare procedures and you're done. In and Out ( They probably take longer at the drive through than this facility). If you're going to get chopped I highly recommend!!

Excellent experience. Dr. Chavez and staff were incredibly professional and the whole process was a breeze. Very efficient care and never felt like I didn't have an opportunity to express concerns (although there were none). Would absolutely recommend DMU.

This place is fantastic . Great staff, made everything very comfortable. Very informative. Vasectomy procedure was very quick. Minor discomfort afterwards but nothing bad at all. Overall it was a great experience all things considered lol I highly recommend
