I came here with family and it was our first time here.I was impressed with the way they run this business. They had a safety meeting at the beginning and they explained the rules and how important it was to keep your mask on in the playing area. Then they drove us out to playing area. The field was very large and had lots of things to hide behind. We played more games then we thought we would.Overall it was loads of fun and we felt safe.We will be back

My 14 year old asked to have her bday celebration here so I called them to ask some questions. The guy who answered the phone was helpful, and answered all my questions. Then answered them a second time when I called again to confirm. We showed up at 10 as recommended and the kids got themselves suited up with helmets, body armor and belts to hold extra pellets. The staff goes over all the details and safety rules and really emphasized the importance of following them. They tell you that if they have to give multiple warnings they will not be nice about it, but considering how important it is to follow the rules, I don't blame them. They don't want you getting hurt or hurting anyone else. Once everyone is ready they walk you out to the field. There is a gathering spot where can leave items - coolers with waters, extra materials, etc. they separate you into teams and then go over the rules again. If you want to just watch they have two areas for it. Once the game begins the ref pays attention to the whole field, making sure everyone following rules, that if a player is out they can leave the field safely, etc. There are some people who take the game VERY seriously and you could tell they didn't have much patience for first time kids who are afraid to play. But they just get them out easily, and move on. Games last around 15 minutes and then there is a 10-15 minute break where can reload, see if gun needs to be fixed, and compare battle wounds. Cause you will have them. You can leave during any of the breaks. We were there for around two hours and played four or five games. If you are going to be timid don't buy a lot of ammo. We bought 2500 for 6 kids and had at least 1/3 of it left. If not sure how will play start low and replenish on a break.

Language Language and professionalism lacks. It's one thing to be in charge of everyone's safety, it's another thing to swear, cuss, and belittle people with the amount of people under the age of 24 years old. There seemed to be a church group, maybe an at-risk group, and many teenagers in attendance. I will not return.

Desert fox is the best place to play paintball in Tucson. Doesn't look like much from the road, and it literally is a junkyard. But the atmosphere is awesome! Huge emphasis on safety. They are very particular about mask and marker safety. I keep coming back because the rental guns are reliable and the rules are consistently enforced.

Nice field with a lot of interesting hiding and cover spots. The staff is helpful and the regulars that frequent this spot were friendly. Prices seem reasonable for paint ball.

Would not recommend.Went out here on a Sunday at noon, since the website says 10-2 on Sundays. When we got there, we waited for a while for someone to come to the outside counter. We talked with some of the others playing and they said the guy was out on the field, since there was a game going on. He finally came over about 20 minutes later and asked if he could help us. I said we were looking to play some paintball. There was myself, my fiancee, and her 2 kids, 15 and 10 years old. He said there was a game going on and they would be done in about 45 minutes. I said that would work, since it would be around 1pm and we could play for an hour. He said he was leaving when they were done. I asked if they were open until 2?? He said they are, but we needed to be there at 10, since it says that on the website. I said that it doesn't say that on the website. He insisted that it does. No, it doesn't as of today, 16 April 2015.He said that you have to be 12 to play, is that going to be a problem?I said that the boy is only 10. He said that he wouldn't let anyone under 14 play on his field. It doesn't say that anywhere on the website either. We left. Will NOT go back.

I've played paintball recreationally for sometime in multiple states. Hawaii, California, Tennessee, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and other fields here in Arizona. Of all the places I've played this is the worst.Staff informed us the rules when we first got into the parking area. Later, after being driven to the field, the staff had informed us of contradictory rules. Honestly seemed to just be made up at that time. There is only one field to play on.As far as chrono goes, for those bringing in their own markers, there isn't a strict chrono rule. People were just walking on without verifying a chrono by anyone. Seen people adjusting the velocity up on their markers at the 1 field they have to offer. From what we were told there is no safety kill distance. I seen someone less than a foot away shoot at an unsuspecting female who at that time was trying to call the ref for help with the paintball gun they supplied. Calling for the ref in the event the gun didn't work was their guidance. After the ref approached the female he stated "this isn't airsoft, paintball doesn't have safety kills"Take with that, what you will. Don't be surprised if you hear "I was going to join the military but...."

Wow, there are some pretty harsh reviews on here. I've only been to this field a few times, but I've had a blast every time. Safety is a top priority and if you take your mask off when you're not supposed to or don't follow other rules, expect to be quickly corrected. It is for your safety not because the staff are jerks. I've seen the staff work with people of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels and be very professional with all of them. This place is a lot of fun if you come with the right attitude and mindset. I'll definitely be back!
