I recently made an appointment to get my eyes checked and I was able to get in pretty quickly. Everyone in this office is very professional and friendly. I was impressed with the efficiency of the visit and getting to see the Dr and have all of my questions answered. I'm very glad I found this place for my eye care.

Everyone including Dr. Marra seemed friendly, professional, and competent. I had to ask multiple questions regarding insurance on more than one occasion, and the office staff was patient and pleasant.

I had what I thought was an emergency with my eye while at work. We have referred patients here before and heard only good things. I read the negative reviews here while waiting for my appointment. I have to say from reception greeting me very friendly, masks on which I appreciated as a healthcare worker. The tech and the doc were all so great! I would refer here again and again. Oh and they got me in the day that I called. Great experience

I've seen Drs. Rosen, Tacaronte-Felix, Parks and Pfau at the Tucson location. I highly recommend everyone except Dr. Pfau. He came across as arrogant and did not explain anything that he was doing unless I prompted him with questions. In addition, Dr. Pfau seemed irritated that I would ask for explanations. By contrast, the other providers listed treated me respectfully and as a member of the healthcare team, offering explanations of all procedures and answering all of my questions. The office staff and technicians are generally pleasant and respectful. During one visit, I was roomed by a woman with dirty, stringy hair who smelled strongly of body odor and cigarette smoke, who blew her nose and then was going to put drops in my eyes without washing her hands. She did wash when asked. I did report her to the office manager, because I was frankly uncomfortable with her poor hygiene and lack of proper handwashing. I've not seen her since.

I had to see a eye doctor due to a little accident (don't worry I'm ok now) and they were polite enough to squeeze me in the next day for an appointment. The parking is ok, but the place was packed. They close early (at noon) so you have to hope you have time for an early morning appointment. It wasn't a really long wait and Dr. Marcello was very professional and was very informative. He answered all of my questions (I had many) and was friendly. Thank goodness he was able to see me. I only spent about forty five minutes total from waiting in the lobby until after my seeing the doctor. I think that is a short amount of time to wait considering they squeezed me in during a busy next-day visit to the specialist. Kudos to the reception desk as they were very polite and professional too (which I think is important). Glad I came here.

I took my wife in for an exam by Dr. Rosen at 3:30. The office staff and technicians were robotic and the Doctor was similarly detached. When her exam was completed close to closing time, there was only one person left in the building, impatient for us to leave. So the visit was cold and impersonal. But the real issue was my wife was informed she needed an ultrasound to determine what was the cause of a black spot behind her eye. This would require a visit to a surgical center to have an ultrasound performed. A week has gone by and we have heard nothing more from the office, the doctor, or the surgical center. My wife is nervous about the cataract surgery to begin with and not hearing back from them has compounded that fear. Additionally, she was prescribed eye drops to use before the surgery and we have heard nothing from the pharmacy either.I'd suggest avoiding Desert Eye and seeking help elsewhere. We have already scheduled an appointment with another eye surgeon and will wait another three weeks for her to be seen.

Signed a disclosure when I walked in, that my insurance doesnt pay for eye prescription. I assumed they meant that my insurance wouldnt pay for my glasses. Before going in I found a pair of Tiffany frames I was interested in. And will be responsible for the full amount of the perscription glasses. After the examination: I went to the desk to make next years appointment and asked for my perscription. I was told that would be another $45.00 that the insurance doesnt pay for your perscription!I didnt understand that it meant that they wouldnt give me a perscription since my insurance was paying for the eye exam . Isnt that why you have one? Does your doctor charge you a extra fee for your perscription for you medicine after you have a physical check up? The insurance pays good money for us to have this exam, I was so upset I decided to forget buying the glasses there and wouldnt have gone in the first place if I had known they wouldnt give me a perscription with my eye exam. Will not go back next year I walked out without making the next year appointment. This is extortion.

Dr Chait is superb. The is nothing I could ask of a physician she did not show: caring; concern; empathy; attentiveness; and, above all competence. I received the care from her I would expect her to give a member of her own family. I will think of her every time I am grateful for sight in my left eye. She put me on the path to its restoration.

I made an appointment with Dr. Marra, an ophthalmologist in this group for a new prescription for eyeglasses, piano glasses and a glaucoma check for which I had been taking Latanoprost eye drops. I was a new patient who was transferring care from out of state. The technician checked my vision, and because I had to wear a mask during the test, the viewing glass in the machine was constantly fogging up. I was concerned that the results wouldn't be accurate. I told her and she laughed and said that happens to everyone. After a quick eye exam, Dr. Marra was finished with our appointment. When I left the office, I noticed that they had forgotten to give me the prescription for the Latanoprost and the piano glasses. I called them and left a message saying I needed those two things and asked them if my vision had changed from the previous glasses. Two days later and three phone calls, they called me back and told me that Dr. Marra was an ophthalmologist and they don't write prescriptions for eyeglasses and they only treat eye diseases. But if my insurance would pay for it, they could then set me up with an appointment with their optometrist. What a scam. I have gone to many ophthalmologists in my life and they all wrote prescriptions for eyeglasses. Don't waste your time and money here.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! I have been wearing glasses/contacts for 20+ years and I have never been so dissatisfied with any business. My initial eye exam everyone appeared to be kind. When it came time to pay for my exam, the girl at the desk appeared to be new so I didn't mind to much when she attempted to over charge me. The real problems have been the time of events since my appointment 1 month later! I have yet to receive my trial pair of contacts, I have called numerous times and I either get someone telling me they are on back order or I get an answering machine. I have NEVER had to wait this long for a trial pair, even when an item has been on back order. Then for their office not to even have someone available to answer phone calls only accelerates my frustration with this office. Again, THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I would not recommend this office to anyone!!
