Highly recommend checking out this gallery. Apart from the local artist's history and cool original artwork- you also get to learn some southwest/ Arizona history. Lovely landscaping. Overall a gem in this city.

What a quirky, beauty of a story and space. The garden in back could use a bit more love but overall, this experience made our trip. So much to learn and see here, even if you're not a fan of DeGrazia's art, you'll be astounded by the design of his former property. He was truly one of a kind.

This small (but extremely mighty) museum is not only dog-friendly, but absolutely gorgeous. The museum was built by the artist himself and we couldn't help but feel that we were welcomed into his own home and space. The art is as beautiful as you would imagine, with surprises throughout. We love De Grazia's work, but were surprised by the turquoise ceramics made from saguaro cactus. Whether you know his work previously or are new to this man, you will enjoy the experience, and the price is RIGHT!!! ($8 per adult) Wow.

I was here last weekend for the Fiesta de Guadalupe; I've been here many times before. Some of the art is good, but DeGrazia's greatest work of art is the whole complex: the buildings, the grounds, the beautiful courtyard. I like the art, but I love the place.

If you didn't already have an appreciation for Ted DeGrazia's art, or even art in general, you sure will after visiting this gallery. Even beyond art, you get to see all the historic buildings and even the Mission in the Sun--a little chapel. There's also a nice cactus garden towards the end of the self-guided tour. At the beginning and end, there's a gift shop with a great selection of reasonably-priced, DeGrazia merchandise. Adult admission was $8/head, which I thought was a fair price. Would recommend and would come back.

Beautiful spring day on " Good Friday" celebrating the joy of family and friends transitioned in the de Grazia Yaqui styled Adobe chapel! A sanctuary like no other on west side of the museum filled with de Grazia art and unique style. He studied in mexico with diego Rivera . A prolific and commercial artist was enjoyed by my parents . A special spot to experience . Many have never visited yet the winter visitors are in the museum .

6 stars! What a gem of a gallery. Wished we could have stayed longer but I have teenagers. Loved learning about his life and the gift shop was good. The outdoor garden area was so peaceful. Learned about the Catholic tilma from the chapel. A visiting artist was there as well. Highly recommend a stop here if visiting Tucson. Sent a bunch of postcards to friends. Worth the entrance fee.

Much more than expected from this gallery, which was owned and built by the artist himself. The art is very interesting for many reasons, the style of the artist, very fluid and colorful with southwestern subject matter that is both beautiful and disturbing at times. You can spend a few hours here easily and I may go back!

"I want to be notorious rather than famous. Fame has too much responsibility. People forget you are human." Ettore "Ted" DeGrazia... perfect words for a man who was not just colorful with his art but with his personality and beliefs! You will not only love the vibrancy of his art but learning the vibrant history behind this talented man! There are six permanent collections of paintings and then rotating exhibitions of all of his work. The tour is self-guided and there is a 30 minute documentary available to watch. There is also a gift shop with many wonderful items including greeting cards of his paintings, one of my faves! The gallery is open daily from 10 AM to 4 PM. They are closed on the major holidays of New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Adults are $8, $5 for ages 12 to 18 and 12 and under are free. If I lived in the area I would definitely do the individual membership for $25 which has some additional perks! This beautiful gallery/museum, at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains, brings a happy spirit over me with every visit!

This is a beautiful location and gallery. I rated it three stars because it is not handicap accessible at all. My 87 year old mother, who is on a walker, was not able to see much of it after we paid the entrance fee. There are no signs stating this information and she was very disappointed to not be able to get around. If you are in a wheelchair, please don't make the trip.
