April, 2011 - we stayed with an Escapees rally and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The park is CLEAN, neat and tidy and the staff were great. Hot tub and heated salt water pool were perks we really appreciated. The spaces were large, NOT dusty, and there is plenty of room to maneuver any size RV into the sites. The showers - although small - were always CLEAN. (Can you tell CLEAN is a biggie with me?) It's a great rally park, and also for snow birds. Only 40 minutes from Green Valley, another 20 to Tucson, but it's worlds away from the hustle & bustle of other large RV parks in SE Arizona.

4 1/2 stars. Nice park. Very well kept and clean. Lots of amenities that catered to dogs including a dog wash! Place used to be a greyhound track. There's also dog parks though we only checked it out. What really blew me away is the area where everyone is welcome to wash their RVs for free! The owners are very nice too. Spots have no ambiance bur the place is really worth the stay. You do have a view of Elephant Head.

We stayed at De Anza while looking for a home in the area. After two weeks, I have to say I am sad to leave. The people here are so friendly. The dog park is the largest I've seen in an RV park. Everyone comes with dogs who are having just as much fun as their owners. Dogs play while the owners bond. De Anza is next to Central Pet, a training and boarding facility, so you will hear dogs barking from there. The area is beautiful. Look out and there are mountains you could almost touch. The sky goes on forever. It is breathtaking. The whole park is well cared for and clean. It used to be a dog race track, so the building is large, with restaurant, meeting rooms, workout room, pool, hot tub, and laundry facilities. De Anza has new showers and bathrooms. The sites are gravel and level and there's enough room between rigs for some privacy. This is just a nice rv park. The downside is the noise from I-19 and the fact that it's a bit far from Tucson. But if you want to see the Nogales, Green Valley, Sahuarita area, this location is great.Overall, De Anza is a great RV Park. Come. Enjoy the free Saturday afternoon margaritas, or just enjoy the daily sunshine and great views. It's well worth the visit.

Pros: Free Margaritas from 4-5 on SaturdaysNice, friendly people.Reportedly good food in the restaurant.Cons: some sites have pads and tables, some have only pads, ours had neither. If you're on the North end, you hear the doggy day care next door.If you're on the West side you can hear the freeway and the frontage road.If you're on the NW end, guess what? They have a pool - indoors and small. If you're females, the shower room - 2 showers. 1 has a trickle of water that can be very hot, the other has water that I seemed to have no control over - hot, very hot or very very hot.The 'rules' about leaving dogs unattended inside an RV seem to be for some people, not all, same for barking dogs.

Was really wanting prime rib and De Anza serves it on Saturday's. It a traditional meal. Prime rib, baked or mashed potato, seasonal veggies and a roll. It was really flavorful. It could have been hotter, but it was tasty. Will definitely go again. Especially since the restaurant closes around Memorial Day and doesn't open back up until the end of October. It's a 16 minute drive from my home, easy to find. Nice people. A bar, Sports TV playing and lots of happy people enjoying good conversation and a good meal.

DeAnza Trails RV Resort, Amado Arizona. We stayed 1 week between Christmas and New Year. $350 plus tax. There are also daily and seasonal rates. Many folks that were there were seasonal from cold states. Not age restricted. Level sites, gravel. Full hook ups 30 & 50amp. Big rig friendly. This park used to be a Greyhound racetrack back in the day, they've done a good job remodeling while keeping the original charm. There is an activities schedule and we participated in $6 taco night, pickle ball, and New Year's Eve party. There are many sights to see in the area including Tubac historical village, San Xavier and Tummacori missions, and Missle Silos. Also good side-by-side riding trails, and there is fishing about half hour away. Loved our time here-we'll be back!

The views from the park are amazing... They have so much to offer.two large dog parks, Good size pool, hot tub, sauna, pool tables, air hockey table, basketball court, poker room, Sewing room, Darts, full workshop, Party room for bands (which they have throughout the winter months), community garden. AMAZING food in their restaurant. The owners are friendly, sweet and always around with a smile and a Hello. The park is kept clean by the amazing work camp host. We had the pleasure of staying here a month and loved every moment of it.The only drawbacks are the restaurant is only open Thursday-Sunday and they close around Mother's day for the season. The water hook-up is located on the wrong side of the camper making it a little awkward but doable. I still give it a thumbs up, Its a great place to stay!
