David does AMAZING jewelry work! He's creative, meticulous and professional. The first piece we bought from him was a gorgeous bracelet made of inlaid stones and depicts various scenes. Then he created a beautiful pendant to match existing pieces and earrings to match a necklace. They both came out more beautiful than I expected.You'll see him at the various annual and semi-annual gem shows. Be sure to stop by his booth and see his work. David Freeland jewelry is lovely, but do not expect them to follow through on warranties or customer service, you will be enormously disappointed. I bought a ring with a blue sapphire and inlaid opal about 10 years ago, and about a year after I had had it (this was a ring I only wore for special occasions) one of the small pieces of inlaid opal fell out. As it was under warranty, I contacted David Freeland jeweler and while they did replace the stone , with a processing and shipping fee, it was with a verbal reprisal to treat the ring gently, and not wear it when doing household tasks such as the dishes! As if I would, knowing that opal is a softer stone and would not withstand that type of work. Fast forward to recent days, and again, a small stone fell out, and when I contacted them, I was told that it would be at least 6 months before they could "get to it" as it was their busy season. I was reluctantly told to send pictures of the missing stone, so they could assess the work that needed to be done, with an assurance they would contact me to let me what could be done, and when they could do it. A month later I am still waiting, and do not hold high hopes, at this point....sad, because the pieces are beautiful, but just know they are very reluctant to adhere to the warranty...
