David H Kahan, DO

Don't know if he actually sees patients. I was needing a new doctor and was having trouble with my blood pressure. So, I set up an appointment with Dr. Kahan. He seemed good. Prescribed me medication. I didn't do well in that medication so he quickly prescribed a different medication. He also ordered blood tests. His staff called me with results.....all she said was everything was normal. No explanation, just if I wanted to see the results I could go to the patient portal. Never followed up to see if meds were working. I requested a refill on meds from previous doctor who had moved away. Requested prescription be sent to my Champ VA Meds by Mail. They sent prescription Walgreens. Got another prescription and, yep, sent to Walgreens even though I requested Champ VA and provided the phone number. Got injured and thought a follow up with my doctor after ER visit would be good. He suggested I go to urgent care. Then I was experiencing some other symptoms and requested to see doctor. Instead he had his staff call and tell me to go to ER. Time for a different doctor who actually see his patients or at least do a tele med visit.

Excellent doctor! It was a wait to get my first appointment, but worth the wait. Dr. Khan asked a lot of questions and was very caring and empathetic.

I've been going to Dr. Kahan for about eight years. He's the best doctor I've ever known. He's a really nice guy, very friendly, and he always takes time to chat about stuff like football or whatever else you're interested in.My favorite thing about him is that he is such a good listener. I think that's what makes him a good doctor. He never interupts you when you're talking, it really matters to him what you have to say.Dr. Kahan is also very knowledgeable about specialists in the Tucson area. I've always been pleased with the doctors he has referred me to. I've referred my friends to Dr. Kahan and they all agree that he's an excellent doctor.

I agree with Dana, Dr. Kahan is great, but the support staff around him will drive you away.

Loved Dr. Kahan, but his staff is horrible. After being a patient of his for many years I called his office to get a referral for a doctor in the Phoenix area ( we recently moved ) . I left a message for Dr. Kahan but the call came from an extremely rude woman by the name of Sonia. The worst attitude ever! She told me she could do nothing to help me without making an appt. I explained I needed nothing but a referral to a good doctor in our area. She told me that was against their policy and that I would have to make an appt. I let her know that was ridiculous. Her response was she was hanging up on me. Again, great doctor but its too bad he has people like Sonia representing his office. You are only as good as your staff makes you to be!
