Copperhill Apartments

We moved in to this place back in March of 2019 and have had issues with the front door, front door lock, German cockroaches Confirmed by the PEST person and the main site manager Anthony Rojas that are and have been getting out of hand - when it was just 1-or-2 that I found in the beginning of our stay here (We mentioned something to them the very first week btw and they always seemed as if and acted as if every time we informed them of any and all issues ...old or new... then they no matter what were hearing it for the first time...We have black and white proof that we have been communicating with them and them with us and yet they still want to play games like that with people who are paying good money that should NOT have to live with any PESTs, AC was not cleaned out and filter was NOT replaced before we moved in, AC was leaking water and when the maintenance man was looking at where it drains they sucked out/pulled out a piece of Dry wall from within it where it is supposed to drain from, someone smoked in the apartment before us due to yellow walls dripping, flooring was never replaced ...it is old, nothing was moved like big appliances so as to clean and organise and fix andor replace ANYthing and EVERYthing that needed it, the girl...Juanita...at the front desk never knows what is going on/she hears my building and room number and without missing a beat she has a attitude change...and not in a good-how can I help you way -and that is with me and any of my 3 roomies, I have had to contact the corporate office 4-to-8 times between us all here and have had to contact the SUPERVISOR over these apartments names Catt/Katt...which you can get that number from calling corporate and talking with the receptionist ... Linda (You May get someone else)They want to raise rent prices as well, feels like they only care about the bottom line of money money money and profit profit profit and NOT about the people who have been here and the ones coming in. Only the newbie people are getting fully upgraded apartments and others who have been here for years have to wait. Juanita said that the raise in rent is due to the fact that "the market value is going up" when at the park next to us have had two (2) gun shootings at/in and it is right next to the apartments and a school/academy...I have had less and more quite nights in Flint/Detroit Michigan if that tells you something let alone anything. Oh and Juanita states that to transfer it would be 500 - however our contract states that it is ONLY 150 - after she heard that she said "Well it just auto fills when we print it, it is just a "template" we use" SO THEY DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT IS IN THERE OWN CONTRACT(s)...Hahahahahaha...Well if anyone has any questions about this place please feel free to ask me any time and I WILL get back with you...hmu via message.The lady that started it is no longer here and it is being managed by DJ properties based corporately in California and managed by Anthony Rojas and ASSISTANT manager Juanita, the park is a park and nothing more...however again they have had two (2) shootings where one (1) was a youngster, also the park is a gold mine when it comes to it being used as a 24/7 home for some, my brother went into the boys restroom and then a homeless person came in after him and was standing there in front of him watching as he was using the facilities the whole time in there, and then best of all it has a known drug ring going on there...I mean whatever when it comes to adults BUT that is a park they are trying to swing your vote towards them (copper hill apartments) ...even though they pretty much seem as if they do not care by encouraging the death/drug/sex park upon people as a selling point...sad. Oh and if they are trying to sell anyone on the "park" they have...well it is a park for young kids like preschool and Kindergarten and fenced in so no one can run because it is close to a street-I do not know why they did not put it in the middle of the place so as to avoid streets like that...oh well.

Run away!!! I would give this place negative stars if possible.This complex used to be a wonderful place to live. I moved my father and step-mother into one of the units in 2017 following my fathers stroke. The former management had been terrific and all issues at the unit were dealt with promptly and the complex was within a few miles of my house which was awesome for my new role as caregiver.NOW the complex has new management and supposedly only one maintenance person, so my folks have now been waiting OVER 2 MONTHS for repairs on their AC fan. It works but it makes such a racket that we are unable to carry on a conversation and when the fan comes on and at night it wakes them up. To add insult to injury, they are planning to raise the rent again (it was raised last year) and said that they are going to start charging for trash, which equates to about an additional $80 a month. I see them completely remodeling units after people move out, so I feel like they're trying to drive the current tenants out. Higher rent and no one cares to do any maintenance...!?!? Arrgh! My father is a nearly blind disabled veteran and my step-mother and father are still recovering from their strokes - they deserves better than this! I am glad to say that my old folks are moving out the end of this month (June 2019) to a wonderful manufactured home in an active retirement community that has great reviews.I just can't get them out of there fast enough...

Great Complex! New Ownership has really turned this place around. Very nice property. Management is very nice..

FYSA for service members, this apartment complex and the management team do not respect the SCRA. I was tasked to deploy and followed all instructions per the SCRA to terminate my lease and they still tried charging me months rent for a month I was not going to be there, AFTER I already turned in my keys and terminated my lease. Had to get my leadership and base legal involved just for them to "Honor" the SCRA. 10/10 would not recommend service members to live here or anyone for that matter. Terrible management team that only cares about money. I was rushed into an apartment that was not even safe to live in to begin with, a ceiling fan was hanging by its wires in one of the rooms and there was water damage that was not fixed just painted over. I also discovered I was being charged pet rent the entire time I was there but I never had a pet live w me ! Terrible apartments terrible management team.

New management only cares about money. There is always a new charge on your account. Maintenance are rude. Kids always running around unsupervised. Dog owners don't pick after their dogs therefor the smell of dog waste is everywhere. Laundry rooms are always dirty. No hot water available for washing clothes.

if I could rate lower I would in a heartbeat. new management l, old managemen... both dont care about helping their tenants in any ways positive , their beyond rude and never tend to big issues. like the black mold growing in our AC for the last year. the ac looks like it's going to fall in our hallway any minute now. could bet money it'll happen the next big rain...

I would 10/10 NOT recommend living here, like all other reviews they only care about money. I've had work orders in more than 3 weeks. They called me to double check on my orders and ask questions about my animals told me they would have some one come by THAT day and I'm STILL waiting. There's a cockroach issue... my apartment has NEVER been sprayed even though they left 48hr entry notice TWICE not once have they sprayed, they allow tenants to let their animals off leash, someone's been bit and my dogs been attacked twice and nothing has been done about it. This place has been ran to the ground... never improves like they say. You literally HAVE write a negative review to get anything done.. they will end up calling right after and ask "what can we do to make you change your review?" Why not take action and get things fixed when they are requested instead of looking like fools??? Management sucks and I'd give them negative stars if I could.

Everyone needs some place to lay their head. This is a place of business and business is the only thing they care about.

The management is the worst I've ever seen and dealt with. Even the other residents complain to me about her. She has no people skills, is very condescending and rude.
