I loved doing the horseback ride at Cocoraque! I've gone on other horseback rides before when I was younger.. and usually your horse is following a line of other horses and you're just along for the ride. Here it's completely different. You're in control of the horse. It was quite fun.The guy running the show, Van, is a nice old cowboy. He has plenty stories to tell and really knows how to deal with horses. This is an actual cattle ranch, so it really feels quite authentic. When you call to make a reservation, make sure to leave a VM, as you're actually calling his cell phone. He calls you back.

The owner is highly unprofessional. My friend lost her wallet so we went back and he was drunk and started cussing at us saying we were accusing his "Million dollar facility" of keeping a wallet from us. They even tried giving us money to makeup for what was lost. I would not recommend this place or ever go back.

What a great experience riding lovely calm horses on the beautiful huge ranch. Very warm and friendly experience. The correct phone number can be found on their website, so check there first.

I purchased a deal through living social in Aoril for two one hour trail rides. Every time I called to schedule I either got a voicemail or someone telling me to call back because he was on a ride and couldn't schedule at that moment. I left countless messages that were never returned. Needless to say after months of calling I finally got ahold of someone in September. We scheduled a ride for October 20. When I showed up THERE WAS NO ONE THERE. I called and was told that he "would not take the blame for this and this it must be my mistake". Really?! I called the owner who yelled and called me a liar and then hung up on me. After hanging up on me he sent me a TEXT MESSAGE asking for my address. When I asked what it was for, he said a refund. I have waited two weeks and got nothing. When I text him he told me "CALL LIVING SOCIAL FOR A REFUND, DO NOT CONTACT ME AGAIN". Do not give these guys your money until you're ready to ride. Once they have it, you are no longer a priority. Go somewhere else, like Pantano Riding Stables. They are much friendlier there.

Had our wedding there five years ago. Almost every one of our guests repeatedly told us what a magical place The Cocoraque Ranch was. We had a beautiful sunset directly behind us while we exchanged our vows on the stage. If you're looking for an authentic Arizona western venue, there is no place better.
