I've been holding off on this review for a while because I was so disappointed my last visit and I will never go back. First of all I came to them because they are both optometry and ophthalmology. Only they don't do it in the same appointment or even back to back. They claim to have the latest in equipment and tests you can't get anywhere else. New to them they have the same testes and procedures as the next office. This last visit was again awful, they had all new staff and they didn't seem to know what they were doing. At the end of an ophthalmology visit it is always the custom to check in with the doctor for a couple of minutes to see if there is any change. I've been going 2 times a year for around 20 years and this had always been done. I asked when am I going to see the doctor, they said they never do that, mind you they had only been there a week when I went. Beware

I have been a patient of Dr Martin's for over 25 years. I liked yhan he not only makes sure I have the right prescription for glasses but that he is concerned with the physical condition of my eyes. Not only have I always gotten excellent care for my eyes he takes the time to visit a minute and make feel like a valued patient. There have been many office staff and tech people over the years but they have all been friendly and very competent. I would highly recommend this team.

We are new at this who's glasses thing, but Dr Martin is indeed a specialty Dr for kiddos aside from regular eye care... my wife did the research and his office is impressive from having the latest tech available to perform the best pretest analysis alongside the standard phoropter individual eye checks w letters on the wall... Dr Martin and the entire appointment went really well with our 2 year old son who has esotropia (which means he favors one eye and other eye is far sighted, his one far sighted then tends to turn inwards occasionally like it's crossed). The Dr has dealt with this before in his own son. He prescribed a little heavier glasses than maybe others would do (1.75/2.75 ) for our son but since we caught it at a young age and he'll do well and we won't need to purchase a low prescription glass and move up with additional purchases within the next year/two. Our son is doing well with the glasses several weeks in now and really does well wearing his glasses everyday. Staff & in house store:The staff were great! The lady that did measurements and dilated his eyes was wonderful and friendly- she even handed off to another staff because she didn't want our son to be afraid of any further tests in case he was scared by her from the dilation process- which he really was upset just by Mom having to hold his arms a bit for the second drop, otherwise he was a champ since apparently it might sting a little? I've never had it done so I don't know. As for the in house store, we originally purchased glasses from them for the miraflex frame because we knew nothing about glasses- but we didn't love the only shape they had available so we kept looking online afterwards to maybe get a 2nd pair. Here's where things got a little choppy... but we still love this office, perhaps Dr you could address this issue:We shopped and found that not only did the one other older lady in the shop sell us on the extra upgrades outside our insurance but she sold us on transition lenses for our 2 year old. We had already added the other anti glare which I'm told negates the need for transition and blocking UV. The Costco optometrist actually mentioned to us to go back and specifically ask the Dr if he recommends the transition because at 2 years old it could affect the development of their cones and rods in their eyes and to NOT purchase transition unless he tells us to... I was a little upset by that and went back to get a full refund on our order. I felt like I was taken for a buck for her to make the upgrades. Just a note, we didn't end up buying from Costco either - they don't carry miraflex or frames I'd recommend for a 2 year old. If the Dr office shop had cheaper prices on miraflex then we would've purchased from the 2nd gal that DID tell me (without me saying anything) that the transition were not necessary. So even though it would've been a bit more than we paid outside his store, we could avoid worrying about someone else getting the prescription right/wrong (this happens a lot apparently)/warranty of the glasses/online=out of network & coverage is only up to $80 reimbursed/etc. Like I said though, I won't let that affect Dr Martins review, just be aware that the shop "starts at $100 for every frame" according to the lady who sold us the glasses... which shouldn't be the case unless that's what they have to do to keep sales to maintain the shop. I'm still happy with the Dr and would recommend him aside from the associate in the shop. I would look at his shop again, just more educated though this time. Thx Dr Martin for helping our kiddo!!

I cannot seem to reply to the message and would be happy to speak with you. I was not a patient but my son was, and I'm be happy to help verify us visiting, as I agree, if this was inaccurate then it should be removed. I visited with my 5 year old and 2 year old, so I was overwhelmed and while I can make my own decisions as a 38 year old adult, I find it insulting that you cannot see that too much was happening and I could only see the options placed in front of me, and asking for a price comparison, I was told that I was being given competitive pricing, which was not accurate. So I trusted your staff could be honest and straightforward, and they weren't.

Dr. Martin is great, the staff not so great. I was a new patient, so I was unaware of their office policies. When you want contacts, they require you to pay an additional fee just for a trial pair- then you schedule a second appointment for them to see how the trial pair fits before ordering. I did just this, and ordered a year's worth of contacts. However, days later the contact RIPPED in my eye. I have been a contact wearer for 10 years, this has never happened while it's been in my eye. The office refused to give me a refund for my year's supply, and insisted I come in for a new trial pair. I had to go through this whole process AGAIN when I didn't want to. And I had to wear my glasses for 2 weeks while waiting for the trial pair to arrive at their office when I cannot wear glasses at my work.Altogether unprofessional staff. If I hadn't already paid for a year's supply of contacts I would have gone elsewhere.

Great eye exam and process but their glasses are pretty spendy (otherwise 5 out of 5)

Had my annual appointment today. After going through all the test's my eyes are in great shape. However my prescription has changed. Once done with the doctor I moved on to the girl who's fits you with the frame. She put together a pair of glasses with the new prescription. I tried them on and told her that everything was blurry. She related that is what the doctor wrote down. I told her again that it was blurry and worse then my old prescription. She ultimately told me that I would have to make another appointment to fix this error. The doctor could not spare another 5 minutes to see what the problem was. Of note no one was in the waiting room. Needless to say I am looking for a new optometrist.

When my contacts had gotten delayed in shipping they managed to scrape together enough pairs (likely from storage but I'm not sure) to set me up for my upcoming vacation! Super grateful for the helpful staff here and their ability to adapt to unique situations and challenges to fill their customers needs. Thanks clear view vision care!
