An Arizona trip had been swirling in my head since my daughter was 3. Now that my kid and I are scheduling more girl trips, Arizona had to happen- but I didn't know where to start. So when my NJ friend Jennifer D. made an Arizona trip (a couple of years ago?) she was my go-to gal to hunt for answers. Fulfilling my bucket list from 27 years ago coupled with my friend's suggestions gave me more of a drive to visit. She filled me in on Sedona's characteristics, Flagstaff's and Tucson's. Tucson, made the cut. Thank you girl! Plus with NY's frigid temperatures, coming here to experience warm weather- even for a few days was the respite my daughter coming from home in Portland and I needed. Get yourself a rental. There was simply no way my daughter and I were trekking on public transit. A rental car gave us freedom to explore our outings and Tucson's surroundings at our own pace. Plus our destinations weren't gathered in one place and we needed to be able to get to them without any hassle whatsoever. 1.We encountered tons of pleasant folks. 2.We encountered the "ya'll" pretty much everywhere.3.We encountered more Rams, Sierras, Silverados and Tacomas like nobody's business. 4.We encountered folks on the road burning rubber just for the fuck of it and perhaps going nowhere- but they somehow need to prove who's got the biggest ba.... Not even in upstate NY have I seen that many trucks. Anyhow. Despite the assholes on the road, my daughter and I had a great time and made the most of our brief getaway. We explored, we learned and fully disconnected from our daily routines- even if we had only a few days to travel.

The City of Tucson is a bustling place during the end of January and beginning of February. The city has its annual rock and gem show. Thousands of people from all over United States sell their goods. It attracts people from all over too to come and buy rocks, fossils, jewelry, loose gemstones, minerals, and a host of other things that are sold here it is mind-bogglingEach one of the hotel rooms has a different vendor selling their things. There is typically paid lots for parking sometimes if you're lucky, you can find street parking depending upon the location. Expect a lot of crowds and traffic.

Waiting for sunrise. In all fairness we came mainly to visit Saguaro National Park which was one of the most lack luster places we've visit but the prickly pear cactus flowers were amazing. We decided on a spur of the moment to make a stop at Tombstone. Wild West gun fights, stage coach rides but finding Bisbee was the jewel on the crown. The description said it was haunted so good thing we just walked through the Main Street and drove to a Yelp find for lunch. If you like Mexican food this is the place for you. Spanish commercials on tv, longest churro I've ever seen or eaten, very crispy and yummy.Long ago we came for Old Tucson, Sedona and other stops in Arizona. Lots have changed since then. One thing for sure we loved Dutch Bros. Coffee.

I love this town! Yes, it's hot during summer and we have scorpions, snakes, spiders but we also have very beautiful trees, plants and mountains. Lots of places to explore and so many things to do and experience. Come see our town! You will love it!

I've wanted to live in Tucson since my first ELTour de Tucson bike ride. You see a lot at 8-10 mph. 100 mile loop. Now I've been here almost 28 years and I m still happy. On my second and last house ,Happily Married and still riding. My pics are Easter Sunset 2021.

The biggest, coolest Saguaro cacti, a plethora of poisonous wildlife, incredible food. For such a small town, Tucson packs in so much personality. Some people might not like the small town feel because on first impression it may seem there's not much to do here. But the gems of this place truly shine. Enjoy excellent hiking and Sonoran hot dogs. The people are even than the weather.

The city of Tucson water department has a feature the allows you to pay your bill online. That is a good option, only problem, is if you make a keying error on your bank routing #, their software does not catch the error, they just process it with the incorrect information. Then when the payment doesn't go thru, they charge a $28 penalty.I use my banking account to make purchases on a regular basis, with any other business, if i make a keying error on my banks routing number, the software catches and tells me that i entered an invalid routing number because, they are interested in getting their payment while the city of tucson is interested in getting a missed payment fee.I can't believe that the city of Tucson's software doesn't check for valid routing numbers, they just process it and collect a $28 dollar. What a racket! If you call them to discuss it, they say they is no way to get around this fee!

I give 3. Been in town less than year. I live 55,+. Beautiful community with a public parking lot across the street in view from our building. Couple abandoned cars ,(dead bodies, fetanal, stolen?) . Beautiful view of western sky every night. Also some mountain views. Aside from the sparse collection of abandoned cars, the view is pretty good, sort of tranquil but "too dark" street itself. Anyway until Jack Burn's trailer RV arrived 5 months ago. The stinky double gray haired manly women have been taking off in their little white car now going on 5 months. Eyesore eyesore eyesore. Really inconsiderate. We've gone so far as to report it to non emergency number. How do we know what's in this trailer? Cops don't care. Maybe they're related? Have them license plate. I guess if theres explosives, sewage or drugs on board the cops don't give a poop! I've got some really good sunset pictures heavily cropped with the Boeing 747 asshole trailer in every other shot. Dumb cops,,!
