The neighborhoods are quiet and safe. There is an excellent elementary next to the park.. just all around a great place to settle down.
Grab some shade under a tree. Perfect.

What could be better than fishing and Disc Golf! Beautiful 18 hole Disc Course course in the park and a great urban lake stocked with some nice trout! Bathrooms, picnic tables, shade trees, soccer fields, it's a great place for all sorts of activities.

Beautiful park, gorgeous lake. I didn't see a single piece of trash when I visited. It was so peaceful, with a few folks fishing, and everyone enjoying themselves and minding their own. My kids love the playground, there's a few features not available everywhere, like the spinny thing and the bar. We also really enjoyed the games patio. We played four square and my kids did the long jump over and over. Glad kids are allowed to use this spot for skating as well!

Even on the hottest days this park can be enjoyed by people fishing along the lake shore or in a boat, but do know "excessive noise prohibited" and a fishing license is required. I spent time birding since there are plenty of trees for the birds to hide within, other birds were found along the water's edge or down by the cattails. I can imagine this park being busier in cooler temps as there is a ball field and an activity court for all sorts of games. Plenty of places to picnic on the grass or the ramadas. I look forward to visiting in other seasons! It's a City of Tucson park worth checking out!

I love this park. The only reason I'm removing one star is because of safety of harassment reasons. There tends to be lots of unfortunate events that happen here according to the Citizen app and I've had two negative encounters myself in less than a year. Other than that, it has a serene feeling, it's beautiful, there are nice ducks, and view, and the playground is also nice.

This park was a favorite spot when I lived on the East side of Tucson in the 90's. I used to ride my mountain bike up and down the sides of the lake, and loved this place. I had heard it had "gone downhill" over the years, so I decided to check it out myself on a recent trip to Tucson. I was SO PLEASANTLY surprised it was still very nice...(even better than I remembered!). The lake is clean, and there is plenty of places and ways to enjoy the water. I did not see a lot of trash on the ground, and there were ample garbage cans around. There were about 5 people fishing in the lake, people feeding the ducks...kids playing on the playground, ...and people just sitting by the water. Two separate parking areas, one over looking one side of the lake, and one on the other side where most of the Ramada's are. A hidden gem in Tucson, and well worth a visit!

I love this park. I like how it has a walking path around the lake, basketball court in the back, and a small playground up front. Feel free to bring your dog, just remember to bring a poopy bag!

Lakeside Park is a great place to take the family not only do they have a lake for fishing but also you can take the kids to feed the ducks, I love the fact that the playground and all the fields are very lit up especially since my niece play soccer it's really nice to know that the field is nice and bright so that you can watch and enjoy the game even in the fall months, There always seems to be some type of police presence in the area that's a good thing that way you don't have to worry about someone trying to break into your vehicle are you watching the game. It's a great little park nestled inside the neighborhood on the east side of town
