Chris Richards Photography

Chris Richards did a wonderful job capturing our wedding (and engagement photos). He is a very talented photographer, and the photos are proof of that. He does a great job of listening to what you and your partner do and don't like, but balances your with preferences with what he knows works and will look good. He is also great at capturing moments of honest emotion, including one of my favorite photos of my bridesmaids and me, in which we're all laughing openly. The mix of staged and candid shots gave us both those "professional" photos that will go on our walls, as well as many natural, special moments that we will treasure ourselves. I highly recommend Chris. He's smart, fun, and extremely talented. You can't pick a better photographer!

We really were lucky to have found Chris Richards to be our wedding photographer. He was very patient to make the perfect frame for our pictures, for example taking the time to fix my wedding dress. My husband and I are not very comfortable when our pictures are taken, but Chris made the experience fun and easy for us. He was very professional and we love our photos. Thank you, Chris!

Chris did a family photo shoot for us (not wedding photos), and we had a fantastic experience. We had some special but vague requests about the setting, and he came up with the perfect place. He spent plenty of time with us, staging us with multiple different configurations of people in several different settings. We had tons of different photos from which to choose our favorites. We'd hire him again in a heartbeat. You should too.

My husband & I got married in February. It was so much fun to have Chris be our photographer. The pictures far exceeded my expectations. He also made the experience very fun. I was somewhat sick, yes on my wedding day, and he made me smile and laugh which helped a lot. I think I got through the long day with lots of laughs, smiles and pure adrenaline. We just got a photo album we ordered from him today, more than gorgeous. We have 3 of our wedding pictures professionally framed as well as 1 of our engagement photos. They look wonderful in our house and remind of us our most happy day.We are so happy and would recommend him to anyone for their special day.

I met Chris recently at an event hosted by Yelp Tucson. He was the designated photographer & had a portrait spot set up in the Fox Theatre for other event-goers.I just viewed the photos from the event and WOW - they are fantastic! He does a great job catching candid shots. Amazing, really. The pictures are modern & fun & magazine worthy. Now if only I had an event to book him for...

My husband Kevin and I worked with Chris for an engagement session and the wedding. I'm already thinking of opportunities for more photos in the future. We live in Austin, TX and we did most of our planning from a far. Chris we really easy to work with for scheduling and sharing ideas. For our engagement photos, Chris went the extra mile to capture my dream photo of us during a UofA tailgate. We trotted all around the campus learning how to take photos and having fun. Chris got two people that hate taking photos to look really good! He was so warm and welcoming. It can be a little awkward having your photo taken, but it never felt that way with Chris.We knew we hit the photographer jackpot once we saw the photos. Anyone that knows us well could see our engagement photos captured our personalities perfectly.For the wedding, we met Chris at his house and discussed our favorite photos from engagement session. This was really great to know what we both liked and disliked going into the wedding day. We also went through family photo list and "dream" photos. Chris was great at getting everyone (wedding party, family) on the same page for photos during the day. He was very patient working with the little kids (flower girl and ring bearer). Even when Kevin and I were worn out from all the photos and wanted to get to the reception, Chris kept his cool and got us through all of it. Chris had a second photographer to make sure all the moments of our special day were captured. It was really fun to see what happened during the cocktail hour, which we missed since we were taking bride/groom portrait.Another great item, was that Chris was able to edit some photos during dinner and set up a computer to display some of photos during the rest of the reception. Everyone that saw the photos couldn't stop talking about how great Chris was. And we agree!We just received our wedding photos last week and we couldn't be happier. Chris captured all the details and special moments you could wish for during your wedding. He takes his time and is very thorough. I would recommend Chris to anyone that asked. We can't thank him enough for capturing our special day in photos.

I originally found Chris via Yelp because reading all of the other reviews, he seemed like a great photographer. Yelp was right and I concur with all other reviews - Chris is FANTASTIC! I highly recommend him for any photography needs. Chris and I had only spoken on the phone prior to the shoot but even on the phone I could tell he understood exactly what I was looking for in a family photo session. I wanted a photographer who could shoot documentary-style photos that would capture the playful spirit of my family and me. Chris did just that and along the way made it so much fun. I was visiting Tucson for the holidays and was thrilled to work with Chris. He incorporated beautiful, natural features of the desert landscape and used the light of the setting sun to illuminate each shot perfectly. I look forward to when our paths cross again.

Chris is an AMAZING photographer!!! He did a great job with both our engagement & wedding photos. Willing to work for a great shot, even if it means racing to the top of a parking garage as the sun is setting to take photos of us standing on a ledge :)We met with a lot of photographers in Tucson and Chris made us feel comfortable from the beginning. He really listened to what we wanted & then delivered. He is easy to talk to & understands that each couple want something different from their wedding photos.To make the wedding shoot easier, Chris wanted to take engagement photos. I'm so glad that we did. It gave us great options for our invitations & thank you cards, but the best thing was that Chris used the engagement session to learn about us. This allowed him to be efficient at the wedding so that we could enjoy our day while he got all the shots. He had great ideas that never looked over posed and managed to keep the stress low. I would recommend Chris to anyone who wants capture the real emotion not just take pictures.

Chris was amazing. He is not a hobbyist photographer like so many other event photographers. He is a professional that takes his job seriously. He properly uses natural light, backgrounds, shields, etc. Having used other event photographers before, Chris is hands down the best. Additionally, his picture presentation/delivery is really easy. I trusted him with my wedding day and he delivered the highest quality pictures, as always.

Every year I try to organize family photos and every year my family begrudgingly participates. And every year we seem to try someone new in hopes that we'll get a few good shots since there are small children (at least 2 under 6 for the last 3 years) involved and adults who don't want to participate and/or refuse to smile. We are done trying new photographers. Chris was amazing with the whole family, especially the two littles, and I'm over the moon for every picture. He was so easy to work with and so responsive. Everyone has commented on how they love the photos and that *never* happens. We're only using Chris from now on.
