Children's Memorial Park

I love a good park and Children's Memorial Park near the midtown area is one of the good ones. They've got a fun playground area with swings, clean facilities, plenty of seating areas, and the park is located right along the Loop by the Rillito River. The only reason this spot gets 4 stars instead of 5 is due to some of the playground equipment (the larger slide) being broken for a while. Other than that, it's a nice, quiet place to let your kids run around or have a picnic in the sunshine.

I really love Children's Memorial Park! It has a large play structure appropriate for children ages 2-5 (that's according to their sign....though my 18 month olds play on it with no problems). It's very big, so it can accommodate lots of children at the same time. The park also has bathrooms, water fountains, and other amenities, like a basketball court and swing set. It's situated on the north side of the rillito river and is adjacent to the long walking/biking trail. It's a perfect meet-up for Mommy friends so they can go on a walk, pushing their children in strollers, then let the kids burn off some energy at the park before going home.The only reason why it gets 4 stars (instead of 5) is that they don't have any of the baby (bucket-style) swings - which is one of my kids' favorite things!Overall, though, very well maintained and nice park. A+
