Chicago Music Store

Our visit to this long standing store was super short and simple. We were walking around downtown and stopping at shops as we passed them, curious to learn what the insides looked like and what the place truly offered. This is a classic old school music store IMO. Simple, small and stuffed from ceiling to ground, wall to wall with equipment of all sorts. Music instruments, supportive items, new things to discovered, unique and special, and more. Very kind people, quiet space. *I didn't check if bathrooms were available

Selection in guitars, my interest, was good but I didn't find what I was looking for, nonetheless. Personnel were helpful, and inventory is squeezed here and there, OK, crammed. Nonetheless, my highly-defined interests weren't served. I gained the sense that their staff largely knows their musical turf, and although supply chain in the music industry is tough, I wish they had what I wanted, as I felt I'd get the service there that I would subsequently wanted. Their BS quotient is low, unlike other music stores I visited.

Everytime I stop in town I have to come by. Employees are great, owner is so helping and they have amazing gear and practice. Definitely recommend!

Been shopping here since I was an elementary student back in 04-05. Just walked out the door the other day with a new fender bass amp thanks to Mark and the rest of the Chicago music store team. Tucson's #1 spot in my book! The team over at Chicago do an outstanding job at performing great service and providing helpful guidance towards purchases. From guitar picks and audio equipment, all the way to saxophone repairs and sousaphone rentals. Definitely recommend for all your musical needs. Great job guys! Thank you!

I can't see what else you would want from a small hometown music store. They have a generous selection of guitars, straps , strings , keys. It's the customer service you get from a shop that knows your name that just doesn't happen at bigger stores. If you need a guitar set up or a woodwind / Brass instrument worked on - Mike and Nugget are the best I've seen- levels above the rest. Where else you going to get a solar paneled mariachi player for the dash?

This music store is perfect for my acoustic guitar tastes, and their setups are excellent!

I took my instrument for repair and got it back but when I play tested it there was still a leak and a torn pad. took instrument back did not see it for almost a month. there was no communication as to why my instrument was not getting fixed and so I would call to get updates. all their responses were we will get to it next week, we are slammed... but school concerts were over and schools were out. I would get nothing but that response week after week. I ended up missing two performanceS... I got tired of waiting and went in and picked up my instrument. I had it evaluated by another company and all the pads were leaking from the very begging since the first time I got it back. so the job was not done correct the first time around. they also up charged me for a soldering of a part that was broken by them... the other company that i evaluate my instrument also made me aware of no sign on the flute of soldering, absolutely no traces. if its a store that will treat your instrument with care and actually fix it Chicago Music a store is NOT the place. a lot of friends always ask me about music stores, or locations to repair instruments well this place is not on that list anymore.. great group of people but I'm sorry! WOODWIND MUSICIANS STAY AWAY!

I just want to say how wonderful this music store is and what an awesome experience I had. I took a violin in that needed strings replaced and a new bow within 48 hours and they fixed it for me within 20 minutes for my relatives funeral. The employees were knowledgeable and friendly and very helpful.Thank you so muchSuzan
