Chicago Bar

We went to Chicago Bar for a special performance of PD Ronstadt & Co and the Ronstadt Brothers. We'd never been to Chicago Bar before, so it was all new to us. Based on this one night, it came across as a friendly neighborhood dive bar. The music was fantastic and the bartender friendly. The only food available was in a vending machine that doesn't seem to get regular use. The restrooms were clean. We would go again if the right band was playing.

We went on a Saturday night and the live music and atmosphere way exceeded my expectations. We had so much fun and met some wonderful people. Will go back!

We stopped by on Saturday night when Neon Prophet was playing. They don't start until 9 pm, cover charge is $5.00. The band had two singers, one more classic Bob Marley type reggae vibe and the other sang Sublime with reggae twist. They were pretty good and lots of people were dancing. The bartender was cool and just surprised me with his drink concoction. This place is fun to people watch!

Overall an amazing experience. The bar tender was super attentive, and funny. The bar was also full of culture and great music!

Had been wanting to check this place out since it reopened so we stopped by last night and am glad we did. There was a $5 cover charge which was worth it for the music. It's a typically dive, with great music and clean bathrooms, SCORE!

Waited a few hours before deciding to write this review. The bar only had two customers when I walked in with my wife early afternoon. The bartender promptly waited on us and that was the last time she spoke to us. No offer for another round and no thank you for coming. I'll come back again for the music, but really disappointed in the "service."Nice place with clean bathrooms though.

Great place for live music, local and traveling bands, and cold drinks. Bartenders know a lot of different drinks and the variety of liquor and drafts is wide. I think live music starts at like 9. Small door cover charge at night but worth it. Ladies get in free some nights.

Great dive bar. You will feel at home the minute you enter the door. Great place to stop, decompress and then continue.

Wow what a great place to enjoy friends and music. Saturday night is great for Dancing. Live music. Great new D.j. fun for everyone.

Live music almost every night; Reggae music every Saturday night. Eastside institution with great bar and excellent service. Bartender Kerwyn is the best.
