Came here after going to the movies with some friends and it was a pretty packed, rainy Sunday evening but we managed to get a table near where the pizza makers show off their skills. Our server was super friendly and we were glad they do happy hour daily because we took advantage of it with 15 minutes left.My sister and I got the Margherita and pepperoni pizzas, and our friends wanted to try a white pizza and our server recommended the green and cheesy since the pesto was so good (and she was right). The char on the pizzas were perfect, the sauce has a nice balance of sweetness and acidity, they were generous with the cheese as well. The other standouts were the buffalo and Korean wings, probably some of the most flavorful, sauced, and *meatiest* wings I've ever had. We were too busy enjoying the food for me to get pictures of everything. At happy hour prices, we were very happy.I only wish they had a location more central/midtown but will definitely return when I'm in Oro Valley (but it's worth the trip from any side of town, honestly). Some of the best pizza, wings, happy hour deals, and friendly service I've had in a while.

The worse service I have ever witnessed in oro valley. The manager spends more time talking and laughing with kitchen staff while customers waving their hands for attention. I feel sorry for the people sitting in the dead zone between the bar and floor and witness waiter and bar people not even making eye contact or even lifting a finger to offer a drink or menu. And the best part , you have to ask for a menu for dessert : negative stars : 4th visit and keeps getting worse.

Good food, but the service left a lot to be desired, especially for take out. We called our order in and was told it would be about 20-25 minutes. We arrived after 25 minutes and the food still wasn't ready. I waited almost another 15 minutes before the food was finally done. Everything on the order was correct, but when we got home (only about a 5 minute drive), everything was cold. This left me to believe our order was sitting around for a while before they gave it to me. There's a view into the kitchen from the front, and I could tell whoever was running the kitchen was confused with orders. The place wasn't even that full, maybe about 10 tables only. Not good.If we go back, we will try to dine in next time to see if that makes a difference.

Went here with some friends while in Tucson. Ate lunch so we showed up after 1 and were seated almost immediately. There were lots of football games on but the sound was not too loud so we could have a conversation without shouting. For lunch, we split a salad and two pizzas. The Brussel sprout and romaine Caesar salad was really good and pretty big to split easily between four of us. For pizzas, we got the Pineapple Express and Black & Blue. Both were good and the crust was really delicious. If we are in Tucson, we will definitely be back to try different pies.

Great stop while in Oro, happened to be Happy Hr, score! and also on Pi Day!! Place was packed and a camp chair crowd was parked outside the Century 16 for a free Blues courtyard concert right next door. Charred's bar had it's windows open to patio so the tunes floated on in, a nice lilt to the dining room din. Right around 6PM after HHr, the room had lots of tables open up. Killer deal, $2 off sips and $7.90 for 7" or so pizzettes, we took one of each pepperoni and margherita. Fresh mozz cheese basil was lovely over a nice San marzocco style tomato base which could have a lil more pop but it was still good as was the pie itself...crust comes nicely charred from the wood oven but found the dough a bit light and thin on the density for a neopolitan. We cleaned plates and really enjoyed both our IPA $5 and Local Roots Hard Kombucha Coconut Pineapple Blue Spirulina just $3 with our $2 off ea. So often looking for a low cal sugar alternative to watch sugar and this just 4g Sugars and 125 Cals. Tower Station IPA from Mother Rd Brewing Co, Flagstaff AZ was an unfiltered, copper tan, cloudy colored medium body ale with pineapple tangerine and light pine finish, decent hoppiness@ 70 IBUs, , 7.3% ABV. Wow the Gyro I saw come out filled half a plate, so will be sure to return to do some other Handy work here at CharredP ;D

Lunch for 3 here today. I continue to be impressed with their salads, and today I tried the Sicilian Panzanella for the first time. It's really wonderful, I like the green olives in there. In theory it's way too much for 1 person, but I managed to eat it all!Great service this noon - our server was very timely and friendly.

First time checking this place out and it won't be the last! I'm not a huge pizza person but I found these pizzas on a different level. They have a unique menu of fun toppings, and I really enjoyed the Green & Cheesy pizza I had. The service was quick and friendly, and the waitress was very attentive to the table. Space was clean with lots of seating and simple yet fun decor.

I am staying in Oro Valley for a year for work. We have been looking for some amazing pizza places, and after reading the menu, decided to give Charred a try. I actually arrived alone with the intent of taking left overs home to share and watch a BB game. First impression was that this is a neat little place with a decent atmosphere. That first impression lasted 2 minutes. I approached the Host/Cashier stand asking for a table for one. I was met with, you mean just one person? Once the shock was gone, the host tried to seat me at a dirty un-bussed table. Apology given and accepted, 7 minutes later I was finally sat.A 2-top table right next to the oven, I did enjoy watching the pizza maker. I am not sure at this point if my server was supposed to be the bartender or someone else, but after 9 minutes the bartender made eye contact and said she would be over.Unsure how long that took. I had already memorized the menu and was ready to order. My order consisted of:waterdiet cokehouse made AmarettoFlatbread app with toppingsSausage/Fennel PizzaWhat I received:waterhouse made AmarettoFlatbread app with toppingsThe Amaretto was the only saving grace for the restaurant. The flatbread had such a large amount of garlic on it, I was unable to eat more than a piece. My Sausage/Fennel Pizza never arrived, well not until after I stopped the bartender and said, can I get some service? it had been 22 minutes since my app was delivered, and had not had a check in.I told her, please just box this up and have my pizza put in a box as well. No questions about how I like the app, or if I did not like the app since I only had one small piece. Manager walked by several times, made eye contact once and never stopped.Thankfully ISU was playing on the TV, I am an ISU grad and Iowa native.Fast forward to taking the pizza home(7 minute drive). The pizza was RAW, the toppings did not even stick to the pizza, they never had the chance as it was so under cooked. The amount of oil that dripped off the pizza made the crust stick to the parchment paper. We placed the pizza on a grill to finish cooking it. I made it through 1/2 a piece, my spouse 1 whole piece. The Pizza and the flatbread made it into the garbage. We then ordered takeout from another pizza place on N. Oracle....thank god they were open.Poor greetings, slow slow service, over priced, and sub-par food.Lesson learned....and will not be back.
