Chariot Pizza

I have often driven past this restaurant, but today was the first time I went inside. It is a very casual restaurant/bar with pool tables and lots of drink specials. They had a sign for $4 margaritas with 3 Amigos Tequila. We tried their Spicy Wings which were a bit overcooked and the sauce wasn't great. It was also really spicy compared to other places. The fried zucchini was surprisingly good since I normally don't like zucchini. I loved the chicken parmesan dinner and would definitely order this again. We also got an XL pizza with gyro meat and veggies on it and it was really good. I will always order a pizza with gyro meat on it from Chariot from now on. Our waitress was friendly.

Chariot Pizza is more of a dive bar that serves food. The inside definitely has the bar atmosphere and it's a little rough. The server was very friendly and interacted with the customers who were loud and colorful. We ordered a large cheese pizza and fried mushrooms. They were both okay. Definitely not a traditional family restaurant but it was an interesting night out.

OK, I get it, this is a family-owned pizzeria that's been around for three decades. There's a loyal, locavore fanbase willing to go up to bat for Chariot every day of the week. I'll be brave and say it: Chariot Pizza is on the same level as value chain pizza. It's not like some family Italian joint, it's like a Little Caesar's with a bar. It was just OK. The sauce was bland, like they don't believe in oregano or any sort of spice at all, but the pie itself was loaded with toppings and edible. My fries were soggy and tasted like they were burnt. They were not so edible. Drinks are unbelievably cheap. I think the domestics are just under 3 bucks for a pint, and there's tons of AMFs and Trash Cans and other sugary, brightly-colored cocktails around 5 or 6 if you come on the right day. I'm not exactly a fan, but it's cheap pizza and cheap booze, so I'm sure they'll be fine without my business.

I've heard a lot of great things about this place and was really excited to try it. I went with a single slice as it was my first visit and to be honest, was a little underwhelmed. The crust is good. Thin, chewy very good NY style crust, but the rest of the ingredients seemed to be lacking and the pepperonis just fell all over the place.Perhaps it was the time of day I went but also there was only one person behind the bar and serving tables when I got there, and it was obviously too much for one person. The focus at this time of day seemed to be on the bar patrons and not those looking for food. I saw them hand a bar patron a free mistake pizza before they ever took my order after I'd been there about 15-20 minutes and they also ran out of change for cash orders in the same time, on a weekday.

This is my favorite pizza place. The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. It's ready when quoted and always consistent.

Wings were really good!! I will be ordering again! Everyone was friendly including delivery driver.

For years this was my favorite pizza place in Tucson. 5 star pizza, calzones, lasagna. Everything used to be top shelf.The last 3 or four times at the Flowing Wells location have been sorely disappointing. Anyone can have a bad day, so I wanted to wait before saying anything, but this is a pattern. I know everyone took a hit during the pandemic, but I hope you guys put in the effort to rebuild a core of solid cooks, because what's going on now is awful.

I ordered food from the establishment on Flowing Wells City of Tucson and when I got the food the food is not only taste bad it was also outdated I'm going to call it establishment they said that is not our problem because we get our product from some of the company and we have no control over?When I called them and that's what manager the man on the phone says well sorry there's nothing we can do about it and I'll tell you something last time I'm ordering food from you guys and I'll make sure I tell my neighbors coworkers and anyone around that comes to your establishment really about service your manager is an idiot he should know how to take care of customers and make sure he or he is useless coworkers do not sell outdated food to anyone

Got a Philly cheesesteak with ajou sauce the sauce was super bland and the sandwich was nothing special honestly questioned if there was even a sandwich in the box is was super light and it took a hour to deliver

When I moved to Tucson 15 years ago, the company would order Chariots pizza for team meetings and su h. One of our admins would go pick it up and when it got to us 10 minutes or so later, you had to bite carefully not to burn your mouth and pull the slice awY to try and break the goey cheese string. I fell in love with these pizzas and have continued to order and strongly recommend to visitors. I'm afraid that now they are off my list. I like to order one to pick up on my way back from Vail. The last 3 times, I've ordered it about an hour in advance, telling them what time I would be by to pick it up. The last few have all been like the one I got today. Luke warm at best with solid, not goey, cheese. I came in about 2 minutes after my expected time to a pie that was at least 20 minutes old. I will be looking for a new spot now and will actively warn people away. Pizza quality was bad enough, but even the staff seems apathetic about customer service.
