We went to Centennial Hall to see Wicked (which on a fantastic broadway show if you ever get the chance to see it) and sat towards the front of the mezzanine for the show. The staff were great, and entry to and from the venue was quick. There did not seem to be a bad seat in the house either. Even back in the Mezzanine we could see and hear the show fine. There are a few drawbacks though, the seats are painfully uncomfortable. Both my partner and I couldn't wait to get up at intermission and stretch as a result. Secondly the parking is a few blocks away, which was ok for us but important to know for anyone with mobility issues. (Also they don't do a good job of directing attendees to where the parking is) Overall it is a beautiful hall to see a show, and if you can get up from your seat after an hour or so I would recommend seeing a show here.

Centennial Hall is a gr8 place to see a play. However, I wish I had skipped "Some like it Hot".If you luv the original movie, you will feel this theater rendition should be retitled "Some like it NOT". The singers, dancers, actors, were wonderful, Kudos! But, the screenplay Ruins it.Read no further, if you plan to see it, and don't want to ruin the "new plot".Marilyn Monroe's character was not as expected. Not cute and fun loving, but a career driven strong black woman (& that would be gr8 in a Different play). Unfortunately, I was hoping to laugh and see a sweet innocent and funny Marilyn. And the slapstick Jack Lemmon character Daphne, is portrayed as a black man who decides he now identifies as a woman, for real now, when and if he chooses. So, if you want something completely unlike the original, and very woke-modern, this is it!! Then go for it! Like they say in the original, "nobody's perfect" (I'll say!!!). Whoever wrote this, wasted all our time.

One of the best venues in town to catch a touring Broadway show, concert, ballet, dance troupe, etc., etc., etc...The seats are a little cramped and can get uncomfortable, especially for anything over a couple of hours. Intermissions are always welcome!

Once again, top orchestra seats for Hamilton at $10.00 per ticket! The Hamilton website lottery pool. Tucson was as far as we were willing to drive if we won again; 500+ miles (the Mrs. won the Las Vegas Lottery a few years back). She was a winner once again, and this fell right during our anniversary celebration.Centennial Hall is basically part of the University of Arizona. Only fully vaccinated patrons are being allowed entry, and vaccination cards and a photo ID are required. The theater is rather dated but spacious. And the staff are quite strict about individuals coming forward to gaze into the orchestra pit. Some were quite upset after being asked to step away. We were in the second row.As for the performance; acceptable, considering both male leads; Hamilton and Burr were being played by the understudies this Sunday night, 11/28/2021. But I thought they handled their roles admirably. The orchestra was outstanding. This marked our fourth Hamilton; Los Angeles, Orange County, Las Vegas, and Tucson in that order. We're still putting in for the lottery every week. Outstanding musical score if you've never heard it.

I came here with my mom for the Harry Potter performance. The musicians were AMAZING!!! I kept forgetting that it was live music because It sounded so perfect! The conductor was full of joy and humor and definitely was the cherry on top to this experience! As a wheelchair user I totally have to shout out Theo and Tyler who ran the wheelchair elevator! They made what could've been an awkward scenario an absolute breeze! The only downsides of the night were two things, the first was that the seats were extremely uncomfortable and way too close together, both my mom and I, and the people behind us talked about how painful it was to sit for so long in these seats. The second was that the handicap stall in the bathroom was very small compared to other places, requiring my mom to assist me in and out so that I didn't damage my wheelchair. Shoutout to all of the ushers they were amazing!

I went to see a show at centennial hall and was not super impressed. I bought a regular seat, but it turned out to be right next to a wall that significantly obstructed the view of the stage. I'd go again, but beware of these seats....

Came here last weekend to see Hamilton. It was my first time here. The theater is more run down than Gammage (ASU) but it's also smaller so the view of the stage is better from more seats. And the ticket prices are more affordable! Vaccine or negative COVID test and masks are required. Thank you to management for the safety precautions!!

Highly Recommend Seeing Mannheim Steamroller! Absolutely Fantastic Show. The music is mesmerizing and add the the visual effects you are enjoying every moment of why you're there. The downside is Centennial Hall. The seating is so uncomfortable. I honestly felt like I was sitting on concrete seats. The isles between the seats are extremely tight. The bathroom accommodations speak for themselves. The Hall needs renovating and I'm hoping the University as well as the benefactors are working on this? Mannheim Steamroller is a must see! I hope when they return to Tucson they will preform at a different venue.

My sister is handicapped and finds it difficult to walk. We parked near Cochise Hall. They charged us $8 to park. It is free if you can park farther away. We had never been here before, so we're looking for signage to direct us. There wasn't any. We couldn't find it. We asked as kindly groundskeeper where Centennial Hall was. He said it was back the way we had come, about a quarter of a mile. This was devastating to someone who is mobility impaired. We made our way to the next hurdle. Check in. And found plenty of trip hazards Uneven pavement. After that another obstacle. We had to climb stairs into the hall. More trip hazards. Lights strings strung along the floor. And what's this? A raised platform of about an inch and a half to get into your seats. Unexpected and easy to miss, and easy to stumble and fall. The seats were decidedly uncomfortable for the 2 hour performance of the Nutcracker. The arm rests were wooden and extremely painful. What the h-ll were they thinking? The venue lacking basic amenities for someone mobility impaired, and crammed uncomfortable seats, means we'll never return to this palace of torture again.
