I walked into Cathey's with a machine that was jammed up and not working at all. The lady there told me the problem was the bobbin. I was skeptical, but before I could say anything, she'd already fixed it. Then she went over it again so I understood how to fix it myself. I highly recommend this store.

I brought my recently-purchased sewing machine in to Cathey's to have the bobbin winder and automatic needle threader repaired. I went in with a bit of trepidation, as I have never owned a sewing machine before, and was concerned about how much the repairs might be. The young man who helped me put my mind at ease immediately. He was friendly, very knowledgeable, and knew immediately what was wrong with my machine. It just took a bit of oil and a few adjustments to the threader, and he took the time to show me how to use it. Best of all, he didn't charge me for the service. I'm not expecting that everyone will have the same luck as I did, but it sure made me happy that Cathey's is so willing to help their customers and are not just out for a buck, as so many other places are nowadays. The store has every kind of sewing machine you can imagine, from traveling units to giant quilting ones. They even have "previously loved" ones. And lots of vacuum cleaners, too. They also offer classes. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Cathys has always come through for me. I have purchased 2 sewing machines and also all my sewing room furniture from them. I also purchased 2 year full warranties on both my machines. It is truly worth paying for the warranty. Whenever I need my machine repaired or cleaned it is serviced free of charge. The staff is friendly and listens to you when you take your machine in for service. They give you an estimated date for pick up but most of the time they are either a few days early or exactly on time. The owner Donny and his daughter Carley are very nice. Jenna is a kind and many others are always there to help. Sometimes you have to wait-but that is normal. I support local businesses and so should everyone else.

I just spent six months in Green Valley as a snowbird from the East Coast. I'm loving the weather after living in the cold for so many years, and I'm also loving Cathey's in Sahuarita! What a gem! The service is amazing, which is such a pleasant surprise considering what passes for service in many stores these days. Cathey's is hands down THE BEST.

I purchased a Sebo D4 vacuum on 7/6/22. Geordy Cathey exceeded my expectations in every aspect of the sale. His product knowledge was superb. His sales presentation was informative. As far as price, he beat the best price I found online, and I searched for hours.He also threw in a box of vacuum bags and more. As far as customer service, he took my information including my email and registered the product for me.Buying my vacuum from Cathy's sewing and vacuums was the best retail experience I can recall. I highly recommend Cathy's. I wish I could give them 10 Stars!

I took in my machine for general service as well as to have the carbon brushes on the motor inspected/replaced. I specifically asked to have the brushes checked/replaced. When I picked up my machine I asked about the brushes. There was no comment on the service report about them. Either the technician did not look at the brushes, or else did not know what he was looking at. When I got my machine home I checked the top brush. It was worn down to almost nothing. I felt Like I was being rushed through a process with no one listening to what I was saying. I took it to another Bernina dealer who knows what brushes are and how to replace them. I will not go back to Cathy's again.

Cathey's is a top notch business! During the 15 years that I have lived here I have purchased a numbered of sewing machines, and other merchandise, from Cathey's. They sell only quality products, and the support after the sale is excellent! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The outstanding customer service tone is set by owner Donny Cathey, and continues throughout the the entire organization. The special events sponsored by Cathey's are beyond compare. They are fun, information, and always well organized. I'm excitingly looking forward to the annual "Christmas in July" three day event next week, and the "Tech Party " in Sept.
