This woman treated me with more brutality than my ex husband did, & that's saying a lot. Near the end of my marriage, my uterus felt like it was falling out. My PCP referred me to Dr. Westerband, who said she needed uterine biopsies to check for endometriosis.I have never had a baby or an abortion. My cervix had never been dilated. She came back in by herself & she stuck a METAL ROD up my cervix with my feet in the stirrups. I was screaming uncontrollably. Tears filled my ears. She told me it would last 30 seconds. It lasted five minutes and there was NO WITNESS.I never even got my results, & I have not returned to a gyn since she terrorized me. I am in my mid 40s. I have never been scared of a pelvic exam since the very first one.(The uterine pain went away when I got divorced.)This woman shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine. My PCP has not referred anyone to her since what she did to me.

For this pregnancy, I decided to change to a female provider, and I am MORE than happy with Dr. Westerband. My first child was a micropremie (26 weeks and 2 days), so my husband and I wanted someone with experience. We are extremely confident in her abilities and knowledge base. During our appointments, she pays attention to everyone in the room, including me, my husband, and our two little toddlers. She never makes us feel rushed during our visits, and takes the time to make sure all our concerns and questions are answered. We definitely recommend her and will use her again!

I have been receiving excellent care from Dr. W for 8 years now and she he been an amazing OBGYN (I always worry about what I'll do when she decides to retire)! She is consistently professional and considerate of questions or concerns I have had over the years. She is always on time, and I know my exam will be performed in a sensible and timely manner and she always takes the time to address any questions I have. In a world where it seems medical professionals have no issue wasting patient's time, I have never had that be the case with Dr. W and that is one of the many things I highly value her for. Additionally, her bedside manner is friendly without being fake, and she remembers me every year (which is crazy due to how many patients she sees). The exam rooms are clean and orderly, scheduling an appointment is easy, and the front office and billing staff are friendly. Overall I would highly recommend her.

Thoroughly disappointed. Staff was awesome but Doctor didnt have the time of day for me. Gave me a script without getting my input on it. Looked down at script and it's something I have already tried. She couldn't be bothered to discuss! How much money did I pay for that? Guess I'll find out when I get the bill...

If you're looking for a caring and considerate OBGYN, I recommend that you FIND SOMEONE OTHER THAN Dr. Catherine Westerband. Dr. Westerband delivered two of my babies. I remember that during my pregnancies I was scared, stressed out, and in pain all the time, and I heard her tell one of the nurses that I was making up my pain complaints. She mocked me during my c-section to deliver my second child when I had a panic attack. I finally asked her if she spoke to all her patients like she did to me after she belittled me during the placement of my iud. She apologized then and tried to sell me some products that her clinic was pushing at the time. Looking back, I never should have stayed with her for both deliveries. I never should have, but I was so inexperienced. After the IUD incident, I found a new doctor. I urge you to find someone other than Dr. Westerband too.

Cold, uncaring and condescending when you ask a question. She rushed me in and out (was too busy to spend any time with me (in spite of paying over $200 cash for this visit)). She looked down her nose at me and gave me a snarky response when I asked a simple question. If you treating patients like this, perhaps it is time to retire? I left that office feeling uncertain whether I have a health issue or not. Now I have to go to a second gyny to get to the bottom of my issues.
