Horrible place to live STAY AWAY!!Since we have lived here the place has always had issues they so called fix things but they do not there's issues with the roofing when it rains water leaks into the walls and into the electrical system (fire hazard any one)...The walls are thin as we have ever experienced specially if you live in a downstairs apartment as if you lived under a bowling alley... Don't take a downstairs unit... EVER!! Not in this place! If you ever have a problem or complaint don't complaint to anyone in the office they do not care or will ever listen to what you have to say instead they will attack and find an issue you may or may not until they find something to threaten you so you shut up and don't complaint anymore many neighbors have the same issue but don't complaint because they don't want any trouble REALLY!! RUN AWAY!! We can't wait till our contract is up so we can RUN!! AWAY as soon as posible! I'm sure I'm gonna have issues with this post but I have to be honest and truthful about my experience!

I've lived here for about half a year and I've had no issues. This is my first time ever renting as I've just moved out of my parents house. To read the other comment about how horrible this place is, including the management is weird to me. I live in the unit directly parallel to oracle in the front (having the view of the mountains) and I think this is a wonderful place. I never hear my neighbors and if I do it's their vibrations/ pounding from them doing something heavy but that's hardly ever. However I do feel like the road noise from oracle might drown out a neighbors noise making. I do live on the very top unit so I can't say anything about living on the second or first floor. The apartments are definitely not brand new but have been updated since the 80s. I've had to contact management on a few occasions. I had them change my assigned parking which was no issue. And when I first moved in there were these random bugs that would come out at night and i informed them and they had someone come spray my place down and I've had no issue with those bugs since. And I also needed an entire window replaced because the window had heavy condensation between the panels and everything was done at no charge with no problems. I've never had any issues with the laundry facility either. The place is definitely not handicap friendly because there's small sets of stairs throughout the complex. I think this is a wonderful place to be and I enjoy being here.

I wish that my early sentiments about this place still rung true, but unfortunately, that's not the case now.Last year, a few monsoons caused flooding for all the apartments on the bottom [underground] floor, including mine. The wall laminate in my unit was damaged, the floor obviously got wet and messy [with no followup to clean or inspect for swelling, etc. Seeing as the drains outside our apartments are designed for water to seep in should flooding ever occur, my neighbors and I contacted the office manager Molly to figure out what happened. Her response: "Oh, the drains weren't cleared out."Shocking, especially since I'm sure that monsoons, flooding, etc aren't a first time concern for this area, let alone this property. So "the drains not being cleared out" isn't a valid excuse, seeing as that should be one of the FIRST steps in preparing for monsoon season. However, the biggest issue with all that was my carpet was ruined and outside of a guy coming in to dry the top layer of the carpet itself, then coming to remove the machinery almost 3 weeks later, no one came by to inspect the layer underneath, to replace the carpeting, etc. It was still damp and now I'm pretty sure it's gotten moldy after not being dealt with right away. The laminate has never been touched up or repaired, yet my neighbor's has, so why I'm being chosen as the odd person out is beyond me.The last time I spoke to Molly, which was almost 2 weeks ago, she said and I quote, "I didn't reach out to you to follow up on that because I hadn't heard anything and assumed it was already taken care of." Really? When you manage a property, the least you can do is follow-up on issues that occurred in your units, especially if they're approaching almost A YEAR in not being dealt with.Another neighbor suffered a slip and fall accident as a result of her area not being cleaned up in a timely fashion, and another neighbor has had multiple incidents where water from various places just pour into her kitchen and living room at random. One of these particular moments prompted Molly to call and tell me that the maintenance guy was going to inspect my kitchen because they "assumed" it was coming from there. He came in, tore up my kitchen's baseboard and never came back to put it together. The water wasn't even coming from my apartment, but from a unit way on the other side of the building. Never got an apology for the disturbance, the confusion, nothing from Molly.Oh, and that was back in the beginning of February, by the way. Apparently, she had him go to my apartment to put the baseboard back together since I brought it up a couple of weeks ago, but no one came. I was even home at the time, and just to make sure I didn't miss him, my neighbor [who has a security camera installed] never saw him come by either. If he did come by and I did miss him, you'd think that Molly would leave a note or call to let me know, reschedule, something. But nope. Nothing. Not a single word or a anything. No matter how many times I've reached out to Molly, whether it's by phone, in person, etc., there is ALWAYS an excuse for any of these issues not to be taken care of. I've been overly patient, not to mention very polite and cordial for a lot longer than I should have amidst these issues, and I'm sick of it.I'm tired of my patience being taken advantage of and even more exhausted with having to be pushed to this point, all for a quick buck, since I'm pretty confident that this is all part of a bigger scam to free up some units so that they can be jacked up further in price for the next potential victims, er I'm sorry, I mean tenants.I will say that did have water leak into my kitchen from the apartment above me, and that was dealt with in a timely manner. But I'm pretty sure that was only because that issue concerned not just me, but another apartment as well. The experience was okay in the beginning but didn't last a year. If you do want to stay here, do not stay in any of the underground floors or you'll experience exactly what I and other neighbors had, or worse. If Molly's superiors or someone from the corporate office wants to reach out to me and offer some sort of "better" explanation as to why my needs and concerns as a paying tenant aren't being done so IN A TIMELY MANNER, feel free to do so.Her direct report or someone else responsible for this property really needs to come in and evaluate her work.

I attempted to move in with a friend who already lived at these apartments and was met with discrimination and horribly rude staff. The leasing office acted completely money hungry and acted accommodating right up until they realized our situation and did a complete 180. They wasted our time and eventually just wouldn't answer our calls and or yelled at us for asking questions. I absolutely horrendous from the start.

We've been here for almost 2 years. We were in a very tight spot trying to find an affordable apartment during the pandemic in a short amount of time. We absolutely love it! We get a great view of the mountains every day and our parking spots aren't far from our apartment. Nice dog run (there is ALOT of dogs) so definitely gotta take turns but everyone is super nice. My neighbors are amazing except our upstairs neighbor.... They like to go into full active mode after quite hours, but the leasing office has been very helpful with this issue and getting it resolved! Maintenance is really nice and answer their call when it's an emergency example our ac stopped working in the middle of summer at 10 pm and our apartment started to get really hot (uncomfortable hot) and by 11 he showed up with a window ac and the next day right when they opened he came and fixed our ac. I definitely give this apartment 5 stars for how nice the office is, the view and the AMAZING price for being in Oro valley!

This place is absolutely horrible!!!! Do no live here. They don't care about their tenants. It take forever to get something done, if ever. I got the wrong key for my mailbox and it took over a month to get the right key. I followed up on it about three or four times. Parking is a nightmare. People will park in your assigned parking or double assign your spot. The front office will then be inconvenienced to sort the matter out. You won't get you packages because the front office lady(there is only one lady) is never there. Very short staffed and has no sense of urgency. Bugs are a problem at the complex. Laundry card reader does t work on over half the washers and dryers. Makes doing laundry near impossible. BBQ grills are gas and they don't work. I cannot stress the lack of professionalism of the front office or management by the compsn6 that owns Catalina Crossing. I will never ever ever live in a Scotia owned complex again. This company is horrible and have very low standards for their employees.

If I could give it a Lower Rating than 1 star I would. Here are my reasons not to rent at Catalina Crossing. I rented the 2 bed 2 bath sub-ground level. If it rained the porch flooded. when the landscaping company came by with the leaf blowers they would blow all the debris into my sub-ground porch. On top of that the bugs would get stuck on my porch, so I was left with Bettles crunching under my feet every time I came or went. There are only 2 employees for the complex, the maintenance guy, and the office Girl. the office hours are more like 930-11am then 1-3pm. The office is closed on the weekends, and the girl is always on lunch, so If you get packages delivered she will never tell you and never be able to get them. Dog poop is often found around the complex in the rocks or on sidewalks or even on the road because nobody picks up, I've even found some on my stairs! I received the wrong Mailbox keys and couldn't get my mail for over 2 months! My parking spot was taken up by someone else, so I double checked, and the office girl said it was mine. I told her someone was in it she said she would take care of it. So I waited a week, then I started parking in what I thought was my spot. I received a nasty note from the other person who parked there, so I took the note to the office, and the girl said that the spot was double assigned and she would give me another one. The other spot was on the other side of the complex. After parking on the other side of the complex for 2 months, I get a note from the office in my mailbox from the girl whom I had told I couldn't open my mailbox, dated 2 months prior, that I can now park in the original spot.... So I parked there and got another note on my car, but I kept parking there anyway. I signed a 6 month lease, and paid all 6 months at once. I told the girl that I would be out after 6 months, and would not stay. she said ok. 5 months rolled around, and I had received no lease renewal notice and had not been contacted by the office at all. So I went to the office and told the girl I would be moving out in 30 days which is normal for most places. She stated that I needed to do a 60 day notice. I told her I never received a lease copy or a renewal notice, and I am moving out of state. She said she would have to talk to her manager and get back to me. I didn't hear anything for a week so I went to the office again, the girl stated she had not yet talked to her manager.
