Crooks. No deals unless you bid on their board, even then they price their better stuff too high, and are the worst in town to sell to. The owner is a grumpy old piece of work who smokes too many cigarettes, and will yell at you, his helper ain't much better. Buyer Beware.

Lots of coin options. Most expensive premiums in town. They are asking $175 above spot when other shops like Ambassador Dimond or Old Pueblo Coin, is only asking $89 to $100 above spot on Gold Buffalo's. At the same time they offer $175 below spot when purchasing gold.

I've put off this review for quite some time, and I'm not sure why...but yes, it's a great shop.Prices are 100% fair and honest, nice displays, Chris is helpful, Mike is helpful, and they offer variety. They have stamps, old notes, bullion, books, and of course, coins. They will also do free appraisals.I've never had a bad experience here, and I think they are doing a great job.

I came into the store to browse, but also to authenticate two silver proof coins I'd purchased from eBay. I had meant for some time to visit this coin shop. Two gentlemen were working the counter. One ignored me and went back to watching Fox News. Oh, boy: I knew this was a bad sign. The other gentleman looked at one of the coins and said he did not know whether it was genuine, setting it on the glass on the counter. (Um, this *is* a proof coin: you know that, right?) I asked him about weighing the coin, but he ignored me. To be polite, I browsed for a few minutes. As I prepared to leave, I asked him how he knows silver coins he buys are genuine: he said, "You just know." I asked him whether weighing and sizing the coin would serve to authenticate it as genuine silver, and he said that the coin must be graded to do that. This is false, illogical (on account of the coin's limited value), and insulting (as if he would do that himself, and presuming I would not know the difference). Fun fact: I hold a chemical engineering degree from a prestigious university, and it is a scientific reality that if an alloy of known density (as determined by measuring mass and volume) matches the density of a test specimen, the two are almost certainly the same material--certainly within the finite set of known metals or alloys substituted for silver by counterfeiters. I asked him, accordingly, about scales and other tools, and he dismissively said that most jewelry stores carry such things, practically begging me to take my business elsewhere. (At this point, I got the distinct impression that he resented my interrupting his bro time watching Fox News, complaining about facts, science, teenage climate activists from Sweden, liberal professors who promote facts, taxes, honorable government officials, Obama, Hillary, and women and minorities, and generally bullshitting the day away.) I asked whether he uses such tools, and he said no. I told him I felt he was "not very forthcoming," which, I noted, did not surprise me coming from a couple of old guys who watch Fox News during the workday. If you like coins and have an aversion to facts, this is your store.

This coin shop is the bom. I dont generally get to come here because its up at my grandparents but it is my all time favorite! They sell great coins and are more than fair. Example, i bought a wheat pennie roll for 2.50 and got a 1909-p vdb! Also more than not i get bu steel wheat pennies. A great condition for just 2.50! Some worth more than the roll. They have a great selection and are very genoris. I wouldent be a coin collector if not for shops like this. I would recommend this shop to all coin collectors. More than fair prices, awsome viraity on the biding board, and a great selection of coins and stamps. Overall amazing! 10/5 stars if it makes sence!
