Case park is a small park, but it's a real neighborhood gem. There's a good amount of open space to play catch or run around. There's a nice sized playground with all the good stuff and it has plenty of space for lots of kids to play on at once. There's some sort of garden that's nice and tranquil. The part I like the most is that there's a paved walking path around the park and if you want to venture a little further out into the desert, there's some dirt paths as well. The parking could be a little rough. There's not a whole lot of actual parking lot space but you can park on the street without getting in the way of any homes. I really like this little park. It's a nice family place.

This is a very nice park for a gentle stroll while talking on the phone or with your favorite four-legged friend! Plenty of benches and surrounded by the beautiful mountain views of Tucson. I loved all the hand painted bricks and stepping Stones in the fenced butterfly garden located in the center of the park. Charming! The only downside to this park is a very tiny parking lot. I visited on a weekday and all the spots were full. I can only imagine how it must be on a weekend!

wanted to get the family out of the house and we found this park on yelp and went to check it out. case park is a bit of a hidden jem. it's tucked back into a neighborhood so if it weren't for yelp i never would have known it was there. it seemed like a number of the families there knew each other and spent a lot time there. it's not a large park, but they have a little of everything. there is a grass field to play soccer or have a picnic at. the playground has a play structure, swings, sand and multiple shaded sitting areas. there's a short loop around the park that lets you see some plants, cactus and a good view of the mountains. they even have a gated hummingbird and butterfly sanctuary with some tractor tire planters and hummingbird feeders. we didn't see too much animal activity, but it was pretty cold. i bet when spring hits this area is beautiful with the flowers blooming and butterflies flitting around. as other yelpers wrote the parking lot a pretty small. probably 5-10 spots so many cars were parked in spots that weren't officially parking spots, but we made it work. a great hidden gem of a park!

ADORABLE hidden gem of a park! It's different than all other parks I've seen. There's a play structure, swings, sand, but also an entire secret little world to roam through. Painted rocks, beautiful tiles on the ground, and a book box in a tree where you can take a book and/or leave a book. Also a walking trail around it and lots of grass. It's usually been quiet when we've been there. My kids love it!!

I have recently discovered this wonderfully appointed park on the far east side of Tucson. It is small compared to most, however, it has it's own charm and quiet presence. As a teenager, I lived in the area and before all of the development broke out in the area, we would enjoy this desert area on bicycles, minibikes and it was a great place to explore and walk our dogs........many years later and after the city has expanded and claimed our desert, it is nice to know that there is still a small patch of land that can be enjoyed by all.I understand that the land was donated by a family to use as a park. It has walking paths, a few picnic tables, a small field, a hidden community based butterfly garden, a playground, water fountains and several memorial benches on the walking path. It is quiet, serene and appears to be well respected by the neighbors in the immediate area. The park also has fantastic unobstructed views of the Catalina, Tanque Verde and Rincon mountains......so amazing and beautiful. There is only 1 thing that might be considered a negative, there are only 9 parking spaces, 2 of which are for handicap parking---I did mention that the park was small, didn't I?We walk in this park almost daily and I for one, enjoy it thoroughly. And one of the best things happened on Thursday, as I entered the park I noticed a couple of people in the field and I couldn't quite make out what the were doing. As I parked my car, much to my surprise it was SANTA CLAUS and 1 of his elfettes----that's right, Santa was at my park! The joy that the park brings to me was compounded by the presence of Santa......the little girl inside of me still gets excited by the sight of Santa, especially when it is unexpected. Thank you Santa for visiting Case Park, it is now a magical place to go to......you never know what you might see there!

A neighbor clued me in about this hidden oasis tucked into an average east side neighborhood, bordered by Broadway and 22nd and Houghton and Harrison. Case Park is a 41-acre "Natural Resource" park. The main part of the park includes a patch of rolling lawn, a separate playground and a sweet little community butterfly garden -- all encircled by a serpentine paved trail. The park is family- and dog-friendly, with a handful of nice covered picnic areas, a barbecue grill, a Porta-Potty and even bags to pick up dog doo (which more people should use, I might add). Case sits on a little rise, so the views are a treat. In places along the paved path, the desert landscaping made me feel more like I was in Saguaro National Park than in the middle of the suburbs. To go even more "natural," head for the unpaved trail on the east side of the park. It leads to a .2 mile loop through the desert. What. A. Gem.

Good things come in small packages & Case Park is just that. After selling the ranch & moving into town it was such a joy to find this treasure of "openness". Great place to soak in the mountain views, run with the dogs, get a taste of nature & wide open space. Oh, how I have missed that. This is where I go to re-charge & escape the confines of the city.....if only for a while. Close to home so I can walk there:)

my daughter loves going to the park. in fact, she is constantly asking if we can go to the park. so we can go down the slide, or push her on the swings. we decided to get out of the house and pick up some lunch and take it over to the park. the kid area is very nice. there's a nice pavilion with a table and shade. i felt safe at this park and that it was very well kept.there were some kids playing football in the open grass area. and a dad and his baby daughter over by the jungle gym. i felt that it was age appropriate for my two year old and that she could climb up without me having the fear of her falling off. they even have a gated garden area. i think it's sponsored by a local scout-troop. they have quite a few rocks/fixtures painted with their names on it. it's really quaint and cute.sue p is right! there are only 9 parking stalls total. including two handicap ones. if it were a busier day, i'm not sure where we would have parked.i am excited to bring my daughter back again. it's nice to have a safe/clean park to visit with such young ones.

I love bringing my dog and infant out here for our weekend walks. I also love that there are benches set away from the path to just sit and reflect.
