We ordered a 1/2 cheese tostada as an appetizer. It did not come until I asked where it was as the meal was being served. The server said "Oh, I thought I saw one back there, pointing to the kitchen." She brought it out and it was cold and dry. She offered to replace it, which we did not want (It would have arrived after we finished our meal). It was on our check, and not taken off. This happened on 12-18-2023 at approximately 7-8pm. I am very disappointed the the Restaurant. Thank you for listening. Louise Sullivan

We love Mexican food; so much so that this is where my granddaughter wanted to eat for her 6th birthday dinner. We had reservations because there were 11 of us. Our orders were taken around 5:45, and we all had drinks, chips and salsa while we waited....and waited.....and....The kids cheeseburgers and my daughter's steak came out around 6:45. At 7 we started complaining because our order was for basic enchiladas, bean burros, as well as two soup orders! We finally were served at 7:50 and the meals were cold. Now, the waiter we had was amazing! He kept the drinks filled and the chips and salsa bowls full. He dealt with our grumpiness and did a wonderful job of handling what was an extremely angry group of people. The thing that was really puzzling was they weren't even that busy! When our order was taken there were only two tables of two besides us. The first time we complained we were told that 'there were other orders before ours' and when we pointed out how ludicrous that excuse was she admitted orders taken after ours were made before ours by mistake. Frankly, I was more angry about the food being cold when it finally arrived because I've worked in Mexican restaurants and know most of the plates can be put together in minutes then it's simply melting the cheese to serve. Having customers wait two hours for cold food is unconscionable! To their credit, the littles enjoyed their cheeseburgers, the waiter was awesome and they gave us 50% off. They also will not ever have our business again.

It was ok--but it wasn't amazing like the one on Speedway; however this location on Grant had red menudo whereas the other only has white...even still I was slightly disappointed that the Wife's chicken rice soup didn't come with crackers and the bread for the menudo was average. not a good amount of tripe either. It was more like hominy soup. I was so sad. It got my hopes up because they had Red but probably should have ordered something else. The tamale was a disappointment all together and she did not like the meat that came on the side for her platter. Going on a Thursday evening we were 1 of 3 couples so service was quick and the draft Dos XX Amber was good--not going to lie but it was just a sub par experience at best. Our server was very nice and keep the drink refilled (although the 2nd refill was the wrong drink for the Mrs--immediately taking a sip she knew it was diet and not what she asked for). Sadly, I will make the trip up speedway to go to that location and will pass up on the Grant location from now on.

Five stars because i honestly have not a single complaint. The food was cooked perfectly. The ingredients fresh. Flavors were on point. Would definitely come here again and i recommend the Tampiquena for dinner.

Chorizo con huevosAbysmal chorizo with eggs. The menu states it came with rice and there was no rice to be found. The portion of the chorizo was hideously large and "plated" around the two eggs. By the time I had eaten one egg, the other was drenched with grease. On a separate plate I had a tiny bowl of beans a torn corn tortillas. So I'm served large portions of a poorly cooked expensive ingredient like chorizo/eggs, and tiny portions of something much more satisfying,by comparison, like beans (and no rice). If the had been plated together on one large plate with less chorizo the natural grease runoff would have been bulwarked by the rest of the "meal". No salsa or color on the plate leaves the entire plate looking like an unappetizing amalgamation of yellow, tan, and brown...ish. I might try another location, but if this one experience is anything to judge by, then the ownership should seriously consider what this does to their image. A little care by the kitchen staff and a little training goes a long way. A disaster on a plate is not worth $14.39. I can, and will in the future, get more satisfying food, at a taqueria truck on 22nd street.Edit: the service itself was good.

I've now been to all three Casa Molinas. There will be reviews on the other two in the next coming days. I will have much more positive things to say about those two, but I'd figure to get the negative one out of the way. There is nothing bad to say about the food at this location. It was the service. The server disappeared on the party, even though there were only two other tables occupied with customers. We noticed the server came out to keep checking on one of the tables ten minutes after we said "just another minute" looking at the menu. After saying out loud that we were ready to leave, the hostess looked at us and I just asked if we could order with her. This is also after the other hostess went to the back to tell the server that we were ready to order. They forget rice on one of the orders and put on cheese on it even though it was made clear that there can't be any cheese. On a second visit to this location, I asked for the refried beans to be cooked in oil instead of lard. The first time it was no problem. The second time around the server said they could not do that. I told the server they did it last time, but he still said they couldn't do it. I also had to wait forever for service. When it came down to eating the food, it was very good. I'll leave it to my future reviews of the other Casa Molina's to discuss just how delicious it is. This location needs an upgrade on the service. For my Casa Molina visits, I will be skipping this location.

I went through the drive through. Should have seen the foreshadowing coming when I waited 5 minutes and had to drive around before anyone came to the window to help me. I got the Enchiladas de la Casa and added a side of rice since the meal only came with beans. Getting home and unpacking the meal, I was underwhelmed by my $15 meal. I never add salt to my meal but the seasoning was so poor with this meal that it was necessary to make it even remotely palatable. The enchiladas were bland. The beans runny and the rice cold and hard. The hot sauce was too hot for my liking. The chips were the best feature and even they were stale with no seasoning. Overall, not impressed and don't plan to go back. My first bad Tucson meal....:/.

Ordered sampler plate. Asked for flour tortillas got corn. The beef filling was tough and underwhelming. Also ordered chicken fajitas. Chicken was over cooked and so tough with gristle it was uneatable. Complained to waiter and we did not get any response. Don't bother dining at this place
