Unfortunately this review comes after personal sadness. But a few of my family members have utilized them for their end of life care. Most recently the last 2 weeks. The folks here are angels from heaven. They could not be more helpful, compassionate, and caring. This includes the front office staff, nurses, aides, doctors, etc. They truly understand end of life care, and ensuring dignity and pain free for the patient is top of mind. They offer many services including grief counseling. I can't recommend them enough or thank them enough for what they've done for my family.

Tucson hospital needed their bed immediately once my friend was declared terminal. As medical power of attorney and not in the same location as she was I had to rely on the hospital to find a hospice. Fortunately for everyone involved they found casa de la Luz hospice. The friends that visited her there said that the place was amazing. Her room, the comfort, the care, the peacefulness...all exactly as we would wish for ourselves. So grateful for them and their care for someone that I loved and providing a sendoff worthy of an angel.

I spent several months arguing with my insurance, getting referrals, pretty much anything they asked for. I got all set, even had my first appointment and then they said they couldn't help me. I felt it was a racial thing. It was awful. A complete waste of the very little energy I have for nothing.

This is more of a "reverse review." Casa De La Luz has a very high profile and name recognition within the community as "the" hospice choice - above all. This, I, believe is more history than the current state of services provided to the "end of life" process, their attention to details, empathy and sensitivity. These critical issues were not offered or even close. Less than 24 hours of having my loved one "under their (non) care..... I withdrew my loved one and transferred him immediately....where he was honored the final days of his life. Please research and choose wisely. My recommendation is Soulistic.

I can't express enough my appreciation for Lisa and Casa de la Luz.The care center called them on the last day of my mom's life. We didn't know it at the time, but Lisa arrived immediately before my mom began actively dying. Lisa tried to get a bp reading and pulse, and when she couldn't, she talked to us about what was happening. She also took the time to speak to my mom about what was happening.Lisa was there as my mom died, comforted us beyond belief, and when appropriate, left. She did all this without the possibility of adding a new client. Truly amazing.

Casa De La Luz, supported my Dad and my family for about 4.5 months. The hospice support we received with my Mom through another organization was stellar, but somehow Casa De La Luz took it to the next level. My Dad upon setting up services was still able to make his own decisions with my support and from our first meeting with the intake nurse to the very end, the entire staff was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and caring. They were incredible and responsive in navigating an uncertain and challenging time for all of us. Carrie was his primary nurse and made it her mission to deliver regular and ongoing information and care, she was absolutely a joy to have as part of our lives during this incredibly hard time. Equipment, ongoing communication, various resources and overall medical care were on point throughout. I honestly do not know how the folks that work here are able to be so unwavering and strong helping patients and families through end of life. The professionalism, experience and compassion we received was top notch.

Casa De La Luz held our hands with such grace and compassion. Dad had his plan and they helped him complete his journey on his terms. The amount of patience and knowledge can only come from decades of experience. Never once were they surprised and they knew what was coming at every turn. Their communication is second to non. They call and show up when they say they will. They listen no matter how meaningless the story or concern. They remember the quirks, preferences, and pet peeves. Their attention to detail is why dad was so comfortable with the Casa crew. We are blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives, right here in Tucson.

This was our first experience with hospice. Our mom came home from the hospital to in-home hospice (with 24 hour care). I have nothing but positive things to say. It was an amazing experience during the most difficult of times. They were so responsive, whether a medication was needed or supplies were running low, or if we needed a nurse to check in. The nurses that visited were thorough and followed up with me or my sister if we were unable to be there for the appointment. I can't say enough about the compassion that was shown to my mom and our family. These people are wonderful. THANK YOU.

My mother recently went into end of life hospice care. My family utilized Casa De La Luz. Our experience with them was excellent. They were caring and everyone that contacted us was professional. This is a top notch organization . As a side note. We brought Mom home and utilized them to assist us with home care. They did everything to ensure our mother was comfortable in her last days.
