Carondelet Medical Group - Carondelet Drive

There are a lot of doctors offices in this huge building. We are in 225, cardiology. My wife needs a confirmation Echocardiogram to rule something out. We see Dr. Lee Ghuy. This will be a hour test, bring a book. All good.

My first visit with Lana Keesler was great. She was very friendly and helpful. She even told me to come in if i have breathing issues. It's very important to come in. So I did. I came in a few times. The last time I went in, I overheard her I. The other room telling her assistant "God, she's sick again?? She NEVER comes in when she's NOT sick!" Very rude. At the end of the visit, she said something under her breath. I asked her what she said, looked at me and walked away. Rude. If you hate your job, just say so. I can't believe how people are in this field being rude as hell. My last LPN was another rude person.

I am scheduled for surgery in a couple weeks, I received a letter from my PCP to contact his medical assistant about important information along with the main Carondalet phone number. And that's when the exercise in unbearable futility and utter frustration began. First it is 15 minutes on hold listening to the same recorded message over, and over, and over and over and over. Finally someone comes on the line. I ask to be connected to my doctor's office. But nnNNOOOlooooo. I get put on hold aGAIN listening to the same recorded message over and over and over and over and over. After a total of 20 damned minutes of getting nowhere I'm told someone will call me back. And they dont.I don't know if Carondelet is short staffed or just an organization poorly run. It's clear from the LONG history of negative comments that NOTHING has changed over they years. And it is clear why this outfit has so many bad reviews and a dismal rating. My PCP informed me that he is leaving this organization because of its "assembly line" practice that has pushed him to his limit. And it is clear to me, as a patient, that I am just the next body coming down the assembly line and there is NO concern about patient convenience whatsoever. And that begins with trying to call and reach your doctor or his staff. I do NOT want a response from Carondelet about how they "take this matter seriously." Or how they are sorry about the adverse situation. It's their standard response and meaningless. There are far better alternatives to Carondelet.

Since early 2017, I've had to see more doctors than GEICO commercials, I've seen my share of medical professionals. This review is for Dr. Kathy Bates. Dr. Bates takes a real interest in you and your health. She listens to your concerns and answers all your questions. She is ready to go to bat for you if she feels something is not being addressed. She's honest without being rude. Of the dozens of physicians I've interacted with over the past 2 years, she is just one of the few I trust absolutely. There may be a better cardiologist out there somewhere, but I highly doubt it!

I had a primary appointment with Dr. clayton Pierce today. My family came with me. My special needs grandson was with us. In the midst of my conversation with Dr. pierce, he became very irritated, rude and informed my daughter that my grandson must leave. There was no need for that over reaction. Because he hurt my family it caused me trusts issues and my appointment ended by us walking out as a family. We discussed the matter with the office manager. Now I have a new patient appointment with a new doctor that I won't see tell June, 2025. Stress, disappointed and extremely frustrating to deal with such a low caliber character as Dr. Clayton Pierce.​​

Whilst I have a high regard for the two cardiologists I see I will be seeking care from others. Carondelet Medical Group is owned by for profit Tenet, a multibillion dollars company based in Texas. Trying to contact my doctors is an extremely difficult exercise. Waiting on line 20-30 minutes is just not acceptable! You can get no help from anyone in the organization. I do not know the reason(s) for the lack of assistance. As Tenet is a for profit company it could be they do not provide sufficient support staff for money savings. Shame on Carondelet for accepting their responsibility for caring about their patients.

Jonathan Marten's is a excellent np he takes care of all my needs I'm so glad I found him he is a very nice and friendly doctor doesn't rush you through appointment listens to what you have to say he's excellent

Dr. Kedia was there when I needed him most. He was there when I needed an ablation when I needed follow-up when I needed support. He was always there with his skills, his strategies, his compassion, and his expertise Love him!!!!!! He is the Best!!

I called "Rose" today to establish new patient care. I was told that they only have appointments to see the Nurse practitioner. And then added if I didn't like the nurse practitioner I couldn't see one of the MD's because it a conflict of interest. Scam! AVOID AVOID AVOID

For more than a decade I received decent care here. Then my doctor left, and they informed me none of their other physicians are taking new patients. I definitely regret my loyalty now! I'm now wary of all Carondelet Medical Group locations--I don't trust any of them not to drop patients just as quickly. This is a pretty terrible way to treat long term patients! If you have a choice, go somewhere else.
