Carlos Diaz Silversmiths and Goldsmiths

This is my first choice for silver repair in Tucson. I have a 80 year old Shriners silver money clip that is holding A 1886 Morgan Silver Dollar. The holding ring finally let go. I think an easy tac will put it back In my pocket. I have a piece of red coral I can't use because my gold chains won't pass thru the eyelet. I mGoing to have it redone with a small gold oval ring. I just called to see if I need an appointment. They have been in town for decades. I ll be there in 30 minutes.

I had lost an earring that l had purchased in Alaska when visiting my daughter in Montana. Not only was the stone unique and interesting to me, but the memories of where it came from (and where the other was lost forever) motivated me to have a custom ring made from the remaining earring.I am a collector of Navajo and Hopi jewelry so wanted to find an experienced and qualified lapidary to make the ring. Carlos Diaz came highly recommended by several friends and the results completely surpassed my expectations! This is now my absolute #1 favorite piece of jewelry l own.

I feel so fortunate to have found Carlos Diaz to repair my father's ID bracket from World War II. I wear it every day. His name and military ID had all but disappeared and it looks like new now.Maria and Antonio were helpful and are very knowledgeable about silver. HiI'm so disappointed in this establishment. I brought 3 watches to have batteries replaced on 8/10. Apparently the PRO was out getting lunch so another young man was asked to assist. I'm not sure what happened but out of the 3, he returned 2 (one of them he was unable to open the back and the other one he states the minute hand was not functioning and he could not fix), the 3rd watch, they had to keep because although he replaced the battery, he was unable to put the watch back together!!!I was given a ticket, left the watch for the PRO to fix. As of 8/15, the PRO had not attempted to fix...I went to pick up my not put together watch and left with a 2 piece watch!!! I did speak to Maria and advised how they just lost a customer due to the negligence of "The Pro", her brother not caring about customers. So much for using Yelp to find reputable places...this time, you failed me.

Called 5 different places for a quote on a ring resize and this was the most affordable one! Their service was amazing. I was only in town briefly and they insisted on getting it done right away instead of having someone pick it up for me later. They resized it in about 10 minutes and I even got to try it on during the process to make sure the size was right. Very nice family-run business, definitely recommend this place!

Had a piece of Bisbee turquoise that needed the good hug of a Sterling silver bezel setting to put it on display. I was greeted as I walked into the shop; was promptly helped by the owner's grandson. Very knowledgeable about stone and type of support/security it would need, he even showed me a few pendants so I would have an idea of what the finished product would look like. I needed it in a week, I got it the next day. I am absolutely in love!!Yes, custom work is going to cost you, but the finished product is worth it! Highly recommend!

Fair prices and knowledgeable staff. I have been there several times and was always pleased with the results. They sized rings for me and sized a silver bracelet . A few days ago they repaired earrings that I had given up on, posts were badly bent. I would definitely recommend this silversmith shop!

What a fantastic and rare shop! Not only did they repair my friend's ring but Maria is so warm and professional-- it's obvious why Carlos Diaz silversmiths has been in business so long, and crafted jewelry for celebrities like Elizabeth Taylor (go check out the photos on the walls, truly splendid). This family run business is something special, and we'll be going back whenever we need repairs or to find unique pieces!

These are the most honest people you will ever work with with nothing but pure intentions to help you. I went in to fix my chain because I thought it was broken and the girl took a look and just said it wasn't broken it was little bent and fixed it with no cost. Every where else in Tucson was trying to charge me and told me it was broken thank you to these honest kind people I was able to get my chain fixed. PLEASE support them please
