For student housing in Tucson AZ, it seems to work. They have singles, doubles, and Triples. Walkable to Pima Community College and a quick 7 minute drive to UofA. The price is reasonable and they have some nice services like WiFi, a dog run, trails, an Amazon Dropbox. The do require payment through their app, tiered parking, and they requires renters insurance, so there are a few expenses tacked onto the rent, but if you go in expecting those, the price is reasonable.

Honestly I don't get the bad reviews. Currently a sophomore at the nearby University. I'm renting a 1x1 that costs about $1100 with everything included. I honestly doubt I'll be able to find a better place for the cost. This place is very pet friendly and has a great community. The staff is very welcoming and nice, they always have something going on in the front office like giving out free pizza and cookies. One time they gave me a whole pack of energy drinks because no one else showed up to pick up the free stuff. They even had a grill out and concert at the pool one time. The maintenance guys are awesome, super friendly and responsive. Always putting in alot of work everyday since they're were only 2 of them for the entire complex at the start of the semester. Now they hired way more maintenance but even since the beginning, they've gotten my maintenance requests done in 3 days or less. Im super close with my neighbors, its a huge college community so everyone is going to be around the same age and be pretty friendly. The only bad thing I can say is if you're really into cooking, you'll be disappointed by the amount of space you have to work with in the kitchen. I also want to mention how great the amenities are, 24/7 gym and lounge area. Gym is alright, has good equipment that will get the job done and never too crowded with the hours I go at. The lounge area is lackluster with only pool game and a tv (that might not work?) Also they take away the keurig pods after close which I understand so no one steals them but sometimes I just want a coffee at like 1 am while walking my dog man.The best thing by far is the pool, huge pool with a jacuzzi on the side, always have friends there. Lot of space and has places to grill food. One time while walking my pup, some dude had a plate full of grilled chicken and offered some pieces to me and my lil dude, turns out we had the same name. Theres also security and firewatch out like at all times. Firewatch is NOT security so dont expect them to really do anything if something serious happens but Ive gotten to meet most of the security and firewatch and theyre all great people. You'll be pretty safe walking late at night since theres always someone out there patrolling at all times of the night. There are ALOT of javelinas though that so tend to get in with babies so I wouldnt mess with them or try to get too close. The babies are cute though.Last thing to note is that its about 15 minutes from campus which sucks but the shuttle they offer is very reliable if you dont have a car.I really recommend this place, i know their monthly rent prices are going up soon but still I dont think youll be getting a better deal with all thats offered living here.

Since the move in date in August 2023 we pointed out at things that need to get fixed and since then they have not fixed it. Example, the washer does not work and many work orders have been put in and they have not looked at it since then. Then the a/c wasn't working properly and took them a while month and a half to look at and just did a minor fix, which to me is not properly fixed and many other things need repair. So unhappy with this place.

I have lived here 3 years already and each year got progressively worse. For starters, they increase your rent every year at-least 100$ which I don't know what for as everything in the apartment is still old and has not been remodeled even in the slightest. The amenities are all still the same as my first year here with no upgrades in gym equipment or anything . Considering they charge an extra 100$ on rent each year, amenity fee, and also a parking fee ($100) which I will get into later. They are always short staffed and always have the office closed, you cant utilize the study room after hours (after 6pm) which is stupid considering it is student housing!! You need amenity bands to use the amenities ?? I guess they don't want you to have guest over?? The parking is atrocious- they will charge you a parking fee which I have no idea where that money goes? However, you need a parking permit for guests to park in the visitor parking which is very limited parking for a whole apartment complex with hundreds of residents, make it make sense ? They will tow you if you are parked in visitor parking or in the front parking without a permit which I get but they make it absolutely impossible for you to have guests over. It is also common for your car to get broken into while you live her and the office is no help as they never have their "security cameras working". My car was parked right in front of a camera when my car got broken into and the camera would of easily picked up something if they would have been working. Overall it is not safe to live here, they charge you for unnecessary fees when everything in the apartment has not been updated at all, parking is impossible, they hire cleaners before you move in that don't deep clean or get your apartment ready for you at all (gross). I moved in and there was dog hair all over my carpet from previous owners. They also hire third party companies to come into your apartment and fix stuff when mind you they don't even let you know there will be random men in your kitchen at 12pm.Overall a place that charges you so much for everything should at-least overcompensate with their amenities but they can't even do that. It's a scam and a danger to your life living here.

After living at Campus Crossings at Star Pass for several years, I can confidently say that this place is one of the worst apartment complexes in Tucson. The management has consistently failed to address serious issues, such as recurring flooding incidents that have left my unit damaged and uninhabitable. Instead of properly fixing these problems, they provided inadequate maintenance, which did not resolve the underlying issues. Despite this, they had the audacity to charge me for carpet replacement due to damage that was clearly a result of their neglect. The "security system" here is another major frustration. Unlike most other complexes, there is no gate code for entry. Instead, residents are given physical gate cards, but guests and delivery services can't enter without one. This often leaves guests waiting outside until someone can come to let them in, or they have to "coattail" behind another car to gain access. It's a huge inconvenience for anyone trying to visit or deliver to residents. To make matters worse, the towing practices are predatory and excessive. Vehicles are often towed without proper notice, leaving residents stranded and facing hefty fines. It seems like the management is more interested in maintaining a business relationship with a non-BBB-accredited towing company (i.e., A&B Towing) than ensuring a comfortable living environment.Guest parking is also severely lacking. There are very few spots, which are always full, forcing guests to park far away or risk getting towed. It's unacceptable that such a large complex cannot accommodate its residents and their visitors properly.Do yourself a favor and avoid Campus Crossings at Star Pass. There are far better options out there.

Management is terrible and so unhelpful with serious issues. They dictate who you can have over and when with the use of guest parking passes that are only available to obtain during mon-fri and valid for 2 days a MONTH and have tow trucks waiting to prey and then charge you up the ass. The pool is always closed. Place is crowded with roaches. It literally smells like a sewer all over the parking lots- I am not exaggerating. They continue to exponentially raise rent prices despite making no upgrades to the apartments or community and will find anything and everything to charge you for. Do yourself a favor and don't rent from here. I have never had a positive experience in my several years of living here. It's always something after another with them and everyone I've ever talked to here has this same opinion. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

The gates don't open and they aren't doing anything to fix it. As in I've been here almost a year and they still haven't given us codes. Also they took my noise complaint and basically told me to eff off. The units are crap as well. They are not at all insulated and also my unit was broken into. It was FILTHY when I moved in. This place is trash.

Don't move here if you're wanting the "resort style pool" me and my friends have been here since august and it's worked MAYBE a total of 3 weeks if even that. apartments aren't cleaned before move in. parking is ass good luck finding a spot if you get home after 7pm. now they're making it a rule to where you can't have guest over more than 2x a month. the ONLY good thing is the maintenance. they also make you pay a $50 amenity fee for the pool to NEVER WORK. they have no eta as to when it will be fixed.

Beware - This complex is insane. Visitor parking req'd a permit only available to get it during business hours. They have a Towing company trolling the parking lot. Signs say VISITOR PARKING - PERMIT REQ'D but nothing says Violators will be towed. Paying upwards of $1k+ monthly and you have to get a Visitor permit? Each unit should have a visitor permit assigned permanently. Tow company just tows without any notice. Probably give the complex a percent of tow fees. Avoid this low life joint at all costs.

My experience living here has been frustrating. First, they moved me into an apartment with lots of damage from the previous tenant, mold issues, and insect issues. My truck was towed from the parking lot by A&B Towing (despite the fact that I pay $20 a month for parking, and had a parking pass displayed). Now that I want to break my lease after two months of problem after problem, I have to pay an extra $500 to do so. Management has a very corporate feel to it and will not work with you. The attached photos are of the apartment when I first moved in. Unacceptable!!
