Lovely and kind quilt shop and community in NE Tucson. They have a great selection of fabrics, notions, and sewing machines. The staff is just fabulous with helping to choose fabrics, deal with quilting challenges, and figure out the right tools. Their classes are phenomenal. Truly great instructors who are experienced and also gentle with all levels of expertise. The teachers are total gems and super heroes - those classes are such a great value and a great place to make new friends! They have a large and active sit and sew. It's incredibly welcoming and inclusive.Highly recommend this lovely shop. I've really been able to expand my skills and explore new parts of the craft due to the help and support I've received at Cactus Quilts.

This quilt shop is so fun! I found my community. I've never made a quilt today, and everyone I told was so excited for me. They helped me figure out some measuring issues I was having, and helped me pick out some complementing colors. They encouraged me to follow my instinct and have fun with my first quilt. I'll definitely be back!!

I visited Cactus Quilt while on vacation. This shop is amazing! Fabulous selection of fabric along with patterns available nowhere else. The shop owner designs her own patterns for sale. I haven't met another owner that does this. The people working in the store greeted me when I arrived and let me browse without hovering, occasionally checking on me. I hate stores where they hover. The fabric selection and patterns includes regional fabric with local motifs, but also broader themes. I plan on coming back next year when I am in town again.

This shop was well-stocked and had lots of creative displays as well as a good selection of fabrics without feeling too claustrophobic. The employees were friendly and helpful and we were in and out quickly. Not just quilt fabric on offer - they had several gifty southwest and Arizona themed items (mugs, bags, etc.) for sale as well.

I went to this quilt store while visiting friends in Sun City, Oro Valley. It's a great little place with a nice selection of unique fabrics. They also carry many curated kits with fabulous colors and prints put together. If you're in the area for a longer period of time, they have a very large and open classroom. They also offer long arm quilting.

Didn't even get in the door. First visit. Went to shop for fabric (I usually spend about $100) and get info on an upcoming class I saw on their website. I live over an hour away, so I drove all that way just to this store. As I opened the front door, a small barking and snarling dog came running at me. It was loose and no one yelled its name or had it restrained. I quickly shut the door and drove back home. I don't want to shop in a place where the merchandise has been exposed to pets. And where animals are running loose in the shop. They may be your "fur baby" but it's my safety and my money.

When I visit my sister-in-law when I am in Tucson, this shop it's the first one I hit. I have brought tons of beautiful fabric and made many Panel lap quilts. I can't wait to go back since I haven't gone in two years because of COVID.
