"I had an impromptu lunch here a few weeks ago with a friend, and while it wasn't my choice to come here, the food was a pleasant surprise.I was in the area and needed a lunch spot and asked my friend to choose, so this is where we ended up.We walked in, and this place was packed with people, so that's a good sign! Means meals are being made and lots of them! Which usually means fresh! I, unfortunately, have some tummy issues, and for some reason, there seems to be a pattern that when I do eat spicy Mexican, things start to go awry. I love Mexican, but my tummy puts up a protest, so I try to limit my intake.Anyhow, I was a little worried I would have a flare up, but I tried to stay positive. What caught my eye was the special of the day of tamale de elote. I love tamales and usually can handle those as they tend to be milder and you can choose to add spicy or not. I think this dish came to $8.95 or so and came with 2 tamales, rice, beans and chips and salsa, and the portion was large.I really liked the tamale de elote and had lunch for the next day too and no tummy flareup! Win-win! This is a grab and go place with some seating inside and outdoors. I'd definitely come back for their tamales again!"
"We are from the Phoenix area and found this place from Instagram. We came here after the U of A game and boy was it worth it. I didn't know what to expect but was amazingly surprised. First off, when you sit down they greet you with bean dip and chips!! And then ask you to head over to their salsa bar with at least 7 or so different types of salsas. And they were ALL good!!! I ordered the Sonoran steak tacos, 2 in the order and they were the most delicious tacos ever. The meat so was tender and so flavorful. Just perfect!! My husband order 2 Sonoran tacos as well as 2 Barbacoa tacos. Wow!! Talk about flavors. These tacos were so good. Definitely recommend this place. For the price, I would definitely recommend it. You will not be disappointed. The staff was great and the new place is beautiful. Please give them a go!! The new place is on Wetmore Rd."

"If you're looking for real, authentic TJ-style tacos, this is the spot. Tacos Tijuana brings simple, delicious flavors with every bite, and the tortillas hechas en casa are what truly set them apart. Soft, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor, la tortilla can make or break a taco--and here, it absolutely makes it.I'm always going for the asada because I'm a classic like that, but el al pastor and even the veggie al pastor made with mushrooms are puro fuego. Every taco is on point! The staff is super amable, always so helpful, and you can tell they love what they do. The place is clean, organized, and the vibe with the banda music playing is perfect. As someone who misses home (San Diego), Tacos Tijuana gives me that comfort, making me feel like I'm right back in Southern California. Si eres de San Diego o SoCal y andas buscando tacos estilo TJ, no busques más--este es el lugar! And now that they've added burritos to the menu? ¡Uf, una bomba! They're just as incredible as the tacos.Gracias, Tacos Tijuana, for always making me feel like I'm home. ¡Gracias por hacerme sentir que estoy en casa!"
"I'm from California and really missed the Taco trucks out there. When I found Maskadores I was really happy because the food is really good and I had been so disappointed at other Mexican food places. I would have to say this place is one of my favorite!! I highly recommend it and the people are very friendly."
"Atmosphere- got a seat quickly, vibey place! The seats were a tad bit close together but not too bad.Service- quick service the whole time, server was nice! Food- Ordered the Crispy Nashville Arizona sandwich And the Polo Asada Taco. The sandwich didn't blow me away but we got sauce on the side so maybe shouldn't have done that. Taco was good!"
"Great tacos! The birria is where it's at! It is so juicy and well-seasoned, and is filled with toppings. The Cuban Crisis was also delicious. I had bites of my husband's Captain Jack, Middle East, and Rosta Man, and they were all so different from one another and so tasty. I really appreciate the unique, creative flavor profiles of each because so often, tacos can all blend into one and you can't tell them a part, but looking back, I can distinctly remember the taste of each. We also got the fajitas for our baby and those were great (we ended up eating them, of course), and the elote bites are a fun little snack. The place is pretty casual, colorful, and young. The dude running the place is awesome and was so welcoming. He kept making faces at my baby, which is always appreciated. Overall, it did not disappoint and it was well worth the long drive! Go with a big appetite and try all of the things!"
"Absolutely delicious!!! We've been driving by their restaurant for years and for some reason we haven't stopped in. But, now we will of course be heading into their brick and mortar! We were lucky to try multiple dishes during a festival from their food truck and everything was all so tasty, especially the tender meats, seasoned perfectly! The plantains were sweet, hot and hit the spot! Our group of friends shared the chicken jerk tacos and stew which was sensational! The service was also great considering they were very busy! While I was waiting in line I was able to watch the amazing process of putting everything together, rice, etc. This is a wonderful family owned business that creates the best Jamaican food around! I've spent time in the Caribbean and I really appreciate the fact we have a place for such delicious food in Tucson! lol"
"Very large and tasty carne asada burrito... The green salsa is drinkable it is SO good. The carne asada bowl is also nice and comes in a fried tortilla bowl. Friendly service and nice ambiance for a taqueria."
"Tacos this style are common in the area but hard to execute. This location hits the mark and will be my go-to. Love the carne asada and the vibes. Staff very friendly and prices are good.Made it just in time for happy hour and got 2 for 1 margaritas. For 7 bucks can't beat it and the chamoy and Tamarind straw put it above and beyond.I ordered 3 tacos and went back for more, fortunately they are very quick to turn around and I didn't wait long for the second order."
"We love us some torchys. First ate there in Dallas. My sister attended TCU and was hooked. Back then it was the hillbilly queso. The tacos are fun and unique and the kids meals are great prices. We love the Mexican coke there and all the variety of crazy tacos!"
"The Grande Burrito was just as advertised: Grande haha. It was huge, filling and delicious. The restaurant was very clean, spacious and the warm lighting was comfortable. The staff members were also friendly and patient. I'm not really one to fret over a service worker's smile but the girl who took my order felt like she was giving me a genuine one even at the end of her shift."

Elmers Taco, we love and only love! Located in the heart of Chandler downtown, this Taco joint has history and heritage. The place is small with outside seating. The menus are displayed on the screen. They have Taco Tuesday's. We usually go for breakfast burritos and tacos! My favorite is their el pastor tacos. The service is fast and food is served in disposable containers. Highly recommended.

So I'd been wanting to try this place for a while, I just hadn't gotten around to it, and now I'm like ohmygawd I'm dumb I should have went.I didn't know what kind of vibes to expect but it was super chill and cute decor ANDDD it had my favorite thing- a big fat salsa bar.I got the toritos tacos, yummmm I was so happy they served those. My friends got mini chimis and carne asada fries which I obviously stole some of and they were tastyyy. My friend who got the mini chimis is the least adventurous eater ever, like chicky nuggy and French fry diet, and she loved them.

Wow, what a gem! Checked this place out for lunch on a Saturday with my mom and we loved it. The atmosphere here is wonderful. Lovely murals on the walls; gallery walls featuring photos of cardinals, the business owners, and local floral and fauna; big garage style doors creating an indoor/outdoor feel; and a gorgeous bar with lovely red lights. Whoever designed the interior did a fantastic job. It's not a large space but it's extremely well appointed. The bar has three TVs so you can also catch a game very easily from almost every seat in the house. The menu features lots of burger options and my mom went with the classic; all burgers come with two smashed patties and wow it was huge! Perfectly cooked and seasoned too! We got a small side of the waffle fries and I got 3 tacos--the carne asada, the grilled shrimp, and the chiles Rojas. Delicious! All of the items the tables next to us ordered also looked sooo good! Service was good and perhaps my favorite part was the hot towels they bring you at the end of the meal. Their food is so good and juicy it's definitely needed and appreciated and such a nice unique touch! I can't wait to come back and try some is their other items! This place is perking up this shopping center in a much needed way.

We wanted to get some tacos and one of my friends suggested this place. Located in the inside streets of downtown chandler, this place is big. Also, they are open late night if you want to grab some food after partying. It was a Sunday night and the place was empty, may be coz it was a Sunday. We sat at the bar and I ordered a OG margarita along with shrimp and a fish taco. They have a fresh salsa bar too. The service was quick, the margarita was decent. The tacos were just alright and lacked the authentic flavors. Somehow it didn't meet the expectation. The place has a very hippy vibe. The prices are a little expensive, one taco was about $6-7 depending on the meat. Overall, it is an okay place.

Growing up in Miami, we had Jamaican restaurants all over. I never thought I'd find some of the most delicious curry goat and ackee and salt fish in Tucson of all places! I've you never had Jamaican food, fix that immediately and run to D's Island Grill. - Oxtail Fries: excellent in every sense - Ackee with Salt Fish & Dumplings: a little greasy but so flavorful and cooked to perfection - Curry Goat: fall off the bone perfection- Coco Bread: coconut flavor was a bit more sublime than expected so if you're not a coconut fan, still give this one a try. It's the lightest, fluffiest bread you'll ever taste- Festivals: fried to perfection, not overly sweet and so soo sooo satisfyingService was quick and precise and our to-go box was packed carefully. Cannot wait to be in the area again so we can keep making our way through the menu. Will definitely be back and will bring friends who love ridiculously tasty food!

"This is still my favorite taco shop when I want quick, consistent tacos or burritos. Used to go to the one in Scottsdale all the time...so glad there is one close to me again! Came today and had my "usual" which is the chorizo breakfast burrito w red salsa. Husband had the machaca breakfast burrito w green salsa. I love how cheesy and delicious these breakfast burritos are and I really love how spicy the red salsa is! My favorite part of Los Favs is how you know it's ALWAYS going to be good...it's consistent and delicious no matter when you go, or which location you check out. This particular location is really clean and big, lots of space to eat inside if you want to eat there...it was packed this morning which I think speaks volumes to how good it is! Can't say enough how excited I am that I'm close to another Los Favs!!"
"Nice corner location. Outside seating area. Seating available inside as well. Small but cozy. Staff was polite and attentive. The decorations are all about Tucson. The food is delicious. Came out hot. The presentation was beautiful. The flavor was very flavorful. Definitely enjoyed it. I recommend this place."
"It's a clean biker bar with football on the screens, 2 pool tables and a patio on the East side of the building ( someone went against tradition ... Thankfully!)I had one of the best burgers I've ever had!My friend was not happy with her potatoes..."
"This tiny food cart situated in downtown Gilbert offers mouth watering carne asada tacos and other traditional favorites. After leaving one of the bars on a Friday night, this taco stand hit the spot. They have a few tables set up next to their stand which is nice and our order came out fairly quickly. I ordered three carne asada tacos and my friend opted for the nachos. The carne asada was flavorful and these were probably some of the best street tacos I have had. The nachos were good considering they had the carne asada and fresh toppings on top but the nacho cheese and chips were nothing special. There were also a couple of salsa bottles on the tables as well. All in all Midnight Tacos is wort trying and I believe they have an actual location in Gilbert which I will definitely try to stop by."
"I just ordered two Sonoran hotdogs via Uber eats and even though they're 20 minutes from my hotel they were delicious. All ingredients were fresh, the bread was perfect, the toppings were well packaged and not spilled everywhere. BEST Sonoran Hotdogs in Phoenix!"
"Awesome tacos!!! We stopped in for lunch. Group of four and first time for each. It's a fast food style place where you order and grab a seat if you're dining in. The service was friendly and the food cake out quickly. The restaurant has a simple layout with limited seating but takeout is also an easy option. Our entire group was super happy with their order and vowed to return soon. Enjoy!!!"
"Greg street tacos that anyone would love to try. The flavors are delicious and I would come back to try some more. The nachos were amazing!! I would recommend this place to anyone"
"Before I write my review, I want it to be known that the review posted yesterday is clearly fake. The profile has no reviews other than the one they wrote and what they said about the carne asada is completely false. Yelp's automated review filter failed miserably on that review.------ I wish I would've taken photos before the food was devoured but goodness gracious this was the best carne asada burrito and carne asada papas fritas I've ever had.Prices were reasonable, portions are fantastic. We tried pollo quesadilla, carne asada burrito and carne asada fries and we thoroughly enjoyed it all.The combination of lime and seasonings made this a fantastic meal I will continue to crave. The owner was extremely nice and personable and we are very happy to have been able to support a small business. We cannot wait to return for more!!"
"Food is great quality, fresh, and I've not had a bad experience with their food. I usually use the drive through more but nothing is better than great Mexican food at a great cost."
"Interesting concept. Kind of like a chipotle for soup. You pick a soup base, then add protein and veggies to make it your own. I enjoyed the beef, chicken and cooked Spinach with mine. Only complaint was a big bowl for 2 ladels of soup broth. Good flavor."
"Food was alright. Service was subpar. In fact, they acted as though they didn't give a rat's rear if we got good service or not. If the staff isn't welcoming, I'm going to have a hard time liking a restaurant or returning to it. We won't return."
"My husband and I had been wanting to try this spot for a while, so he made the drive to get us takeout. After browsing the menu, I went with my usual go-to which is chicken enchiladas and my husband went specifically for the Mexican pizza! Last minute, we added an order of chips and queso. The chicken enchiladas were good but that rice was on point, so good! Glad that I got double rice and no beans. The green sauce was good, only mildly spicy. I would get this again. My husband enjoyed his choice also. The pizza was much larger than we were expecting. The meat was cooked well and it had a bite with all the jalapeños! There was plenty leftover. Skip the chips and queso though. There was very little queso, mostly just chips. And I'm also not sure why they put it on top of the chips. If the queso was on the side and maybe if there was salsa too, I wouldn't have been quite as disappointed, especially given the cost.Overall, the entrees were good. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to try more items in the future!"
"Sooooo many great Mexican Restaurants to choose from in Tucson, but Taqueria La Esquina has definitely become one of my favorites! The food is absolutely amazing, hands down! I guarantee anything you order on the menu is going to taste great. There is a full bar with plenty of adult beverages to wet your whistle, and I suggest Don Julio 70, but only if you're thirsty... The service is just as amazing as the food, trust me, you won't be disappointed...Two thumbs, two toes and two snaps in a "T" for Tuc Town! Happy eating, my foodies..."
"The food, service & prices here are hard to beat, especially on Taco Tuesday! The staff TRULY aim to please!"
"Some of the best tacos I've ever had amazing salsa bar and some of the hottest habenero salsa on the planet which will make your head sweat but super good. The only knocks was the water didn't taste filtered. Chips and salsa are not offered on the menu which I've never seen at any Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Last nachos were not offered on the menu. The dessert was amazing to end the dinner. If your visiting or from tucson and you haven't been its a must. Have to have it on your bucket list and if you miss it something is definitely wrong with you. Your missing out on amazing sonaran mexican food. You'll be in tears it's so good could be from the taste could be from the salsa."
"Great little spot on the corner . The tacos were amazing and the service was great also. I would recommend this place to anyone to try it"
"We've been waiting for this to open!! It opened while we were out of town and decided to give it a try today. It did not disappoint. Food was delicious and staff was friendly & helpful. We split the Combo and it was plenty of food for the two of us. The restaurant is clean; Mexican music playing in the background, pleasant! We will definitely be back and will recommend it friends and family!!"
"Stopped in for a couple of breakfast burritos. I had bacon and wife had the sausage. Really good!!!!Did the drive thru and service was very goodOutside of building and parking lot was very clean and lots of parking"
"I was at an event in Casa Grande and I was looking for a spot to grab something quick and to go. Came across Royal Taco. Love that it is family powered and operated. Antonio,Maria,Naomi They are such nice people. I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food because I can make it at home. I ordered a shredded beef quesadilla with a side of rice. The quesadilla is a good size and definitely shareable. The rice was better than I expected. It quite tasty. I will be going back and supporting local and enjoying Antonio's cooking. Great cute Mexico feel ambiance."
"My favorite Mexican Food restaurant in Tucson! Wonderful people who treat us like family and excellent food and drinks!"
"We got the carnitas tacos and a churro, which were all bomb. I would definitely return."
"Loved the roadside taco truck experience! When in Tucson, you have to have Mexican food and this place as a hit amongst me and my colleagues, some of them Arizona natives. The customer service is also top notch because they come take your order asap and food is delivered fast and fresh. The menu is pretty simple but hits the mark. I got the carne asada tacos and barbacoa caramello (which is a quesadilla). I also got a horchata which was an excellent choice since i was piling on that red and verde sauce. I enjoyed the barbacoa caramello but the hit amongst the group were the carne asada tacos. Soooo good. The toppings and salsas are on the side for you to pile on as much as you like. Couldnt beat the food for the price point and the experience. Yum!"
"Overall, the food was mediocre. The Carne Asada tacos were really planned, the bar was decent, but they serve it without consume! WTH? I will say that the Al pastor tacos were pretty decent. The place feels like a chain and the food isn't worth the money IMO."
