"Saw some reviews about good udon and that it was in the list for best udon in Tucson so decided to give it a try.Parking lot is small and can't accommodate everyone inside but luckily there was a spot left when we got there.I tried their lunch special udon and California roll for $10. Not only a good price, and a filling meal, but tasty as well. They also provide free miso soup as well.I also tried their rainbow roll, pretty good. And I tried the baked scallop roll. Very tasty and a little spicy .Service was friendly, fast, and efficient.Definitely a good place to try for sushi and udon."
"Fantastic quality, portions and presentation. They always help keep carbs to a minimum to keep me on track with my blood sugar, which is a huger help. Always carry interesting and engaging conversations you feel like family here!"

"So many rolls, so little time. Found this place nearby my house and threw it out as a place to celebrate my neices birthday. It's really close to our houses, epic happy hour pricing, and pretty decent sushi overall. We ordered sashimi chefs selection and spicy tuna roll, which might have been mistaken for a spicy California roll. Either way, it was still good for the prices. Decent portions for the chicken teriyaki meal. Also, decent service, but it seemed like they were group servicing as we had to tell 2 different servers what our drink orders were. Would come back for sure!"
"Ginza is always the sushi restaurant I suggest when anyone asks for delicious sushi! But it had been a couple years since I had visited and I forgot how incredibly delicious everything is! To start, their miso soup is gluten free and so flavorful and delicious! Their staff is very knowledgeable about what is gluten free and what can be made gluten free. And there are SO many options! They are able to swap real crab instead of the fake crab to make rolls gluten free.Everything as beyond delicious, the staff was so helpful and friendly and the ambiance is pretty and calm.We went early (5:00), no wait. But it was full by 5:30.Can't wait to go back soon!"
"My friends and I met here for lunch and had a great time. We tried the tuna rolls, Albuquerque rolls, 3 types of nigiri sushi and the teriyaki chicken plate. Everything tasted great and we all had a great time! Everyone had a beer, wine or cocktail as well. I had a Monkey Brain Freeze which was delicious!"
"The food was decent , the place is spotless . Service was friendly and fast . A really good value for the money"
"We've patronized this establishment several times and have been very happy with the food and service! Our server, Mason, has done an excellent job each time we've been there. He's happy and very efficient at his job. We enjoyed 4 entrees. Kung Pao chicken, Happy Family, Szechaun chicken, and the Orange chicken. Also added egg rolls and fried rice. EVERYTHING was delicious and cooked to perfection! Kudos to the entire staff at Zushi! We WILL be back!"
"Everything was so good here! Ample parking and you can make a reservation by calling ahead. We were sat right away during our Tuesday date night. You can see what we ordered on the menu pick. I heard the salad was delicious and it has an amazing dressing! We even dipped our cucumbers into the dressing. They need to bottle it up! The dynamite scallops had a great kick and were so flavorful. I loved the futomaki!! I'm still craving it. All of it was fresh and served fast. Great service and a great spot to celebrate your anniversary."
"Okay what I can say is we love Azian! From the first time it's opened it has had amazing sushi. I cannot speak for the Korean Barbecue but I've seen people cooking it at their table and I have to say it's pretty cool looking! If you're looking for a well priced alternative to Sushi Garden this is your place. I love the prices and the sushi my personal favorites are the BSCR and BLCR! But my newest favorite is the Summer Roll. Absolute show stopper! The vibe is kind of like a bar and grill type feel and definitely a good place for the family or to grab drinks and dinner before hitting the town!"
"Sushi rolls on point Excellent service Located in a small shopping mall but totally worth the visit"
"We come here a lot actually great everytime why we come back! Service is great fast and friendly and always kept clean. Usually we get a bunch of rolls sake and beer and just dig in. My favorites usually I get "Got 1, Got 2, or tempera" so good. Recommend, until next time!"
"Service was fantastic. Lots of great input when I asked Jennifer for recommendations. The two of us had 5 rolls and enjoyed our dinner very much. Big bonus was the location 3 minutes from our TUC airport hotel! Great value and very good food."

The sushi is average, there is nothing that stands out about it. The online order form wasn't working so I had to call. I always feel rushed when trying to order and they repeat back your order so fast that I miss half of it. This last time they charged me for an extra roll that I didn't order but apparently the person on the phone thought I did. They also don't give you an itemized receipt, they just tell you how much it is when you get there and take your card. It is usually ready quickly so that is a plus. They also keep increasing the price of everything by $1 every 6-12 months.

They have a cute little parking lot right out front. The location is a little funny right next to an auto part shop and a gas station. The restaurant inside is medium to small. It was cozy. They had lanterns at the front and looked like pickled ginseng and other roots in jars at the front. Their service is quick to greet you and let you take your time to look at the menu. I liked being able to take my time to look at the menu. They were ready to take our order right after we finished looking over the menu. We got their beef bulgogi and rice entree that came with miso soup and salad. The salad seemed fresh with a soy sauce dressing. It was just lettuce. The miso soup didn't have much seaweed in it. It also didn't have any tofu in it. It wasn't hot and it got cold early in the meal. We also had the spicy tuna and the dragon roll. The dragon roll was good with avocado on top of a slice, tuna on top of a slice, salmon on top of a slice, yellow tail on top of a slice, shrimp on top of a slice. The California roll portion tasted fine too. The spicy tuna tasted a little off. I liked the ginger that tasted typical of ginger. The food came out fairly quickly. I thought it was good but not enough to come back for this particular set of choices. My expectations might have been too high having had a entree at their sister restaurant. If I were in the area or a friend wanted to come here, I would get the dragon roll.

Absolute great find! Our first time here, we were wondering if we should make a reservation, but we didn't get a chance to...we walked in before 6 pm. We were just lucky to get seated right away. Love the accommodation. Our server was very friendly; since he knew it was our first time, he took his time to give us a little briefing on their menu. It is a small place and they can get really busy, so I would recommend making a reservation. I love the fact that the sushi chefs are Japanese, which makes this place authentic. And we loved everything we had. No complaints here. I love the location, although it was quite a drive for us. This is now one of my favorite Japanese restaurants!

It had been a long time since I had visited Sushi Garden so it was nice to pay them a visit. It was perfect timing as it was busy, but not too loud. My husband and I got the USA Combo for two which was a great deal! It came with four rolls and an appetizer. All the rolls were delicious and we had edamame as our app. Our server/waiter were very attentive and did a great job of making sure we were content. My only complaint was that I was not a fan of my cocktail, but that was just personal preference.

We had a group of seven of us with a reservation for 6p and had our choice of two seating options. We went with a round table, which had a lazy susan in the middle. It made it fun to turn it and to share items or to easily get the soy sauce. Service was done well by the gal assigned to us. Those who ordered sushi were very pleased. I ordered the pad thai and it was just okay. We were surprised they had TVs playing football. The vibe that night was like being at a sushi sports bar. Kinda odd, but overall a good spot to gather and eat.

What can I say that's not been said about Yamato?! What an experience and treasure in our little desert city. Nestled in the most unassuming place you could think of, it's like a sushi speakeasy, hidden in plain sight! Intentionally created dishes, served in a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. It feels like you're at your chill godfather's house, while he's serving up amazing food.

"My wife and I decided to give this a try since the menu looked pretty good. We were not disappointed. We ordered the 'heart attack' appetizer and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not very spicy but it was tasty. For our meal, we both chose the spicy beef bento. Again, not spicy but very tasty. I highly recommend paying a visit to this establishment. Do check their hours of operation because they do close for a bit between lunch and dinner."
"Love coming here & stacking sushi plates. The food is always good and prices are always right."
"2/22/25Ambiance Yogis Grill is a regular Beef Yukasoba fast food stop for me. Today was an off day for service. Missing was their signature Cheerful "Welcome" upon entering. It continued at the counter while placing my order. I ordered Beef Usom Noodles bowl in beef broth for my Wife and Beef Yukasoba and a plain side Tofu "no sauces" for us to share. The tofu arrived decorated in Teriyaki. We ordered dine in and received takeout. I loved my Beef Yukasoba and my wife enjoyed her Usom Noodle Bowl.Observation for my new Resturant friend who works there. There were too many employees behind the counter socializing and cutting it up causing me to repeat my order several times. Typically there are no more than two. The restaurant was not busy. This has always been a friendly fast food restaurant which I thought that greeting was a great way to begin their customer experience, not today."
"Great rolls, a good variety of specialty rolls, not just boring rolls. My friend and I sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly perfect personality for the job."
"Sushi is fine, their dinner/lunch surf special is my go to. The Selena hand roll and the spicy tuna are good- zero complaints. The three stars are for the service issues. Every time I go it's like there's zero sense of urgency but tonight was definitely the worst service I've ever had here.Ordered green tea, got regular tea. Had to wait 15 minutes before someone stopped by to even get that corrected.Ordered miso soup, the order wasn't put in. Got that 25 mins later. The sushi order took 35 mins to get and they didn't even drop off the soy sauce/ginger and wasabi. I had to ask for it and was told "that might be a problem because we are all out of clean dishes"For a place with ZERO clean dishes, the staff had zero sense of urgency. None whatsoever. I then heard a vegetarian at the table next to be told that they are "all out of vegetables right now."Yeah. Let all this sink in. I think this is worthy of one star but most of the time it's decent- not excellent, not amazing- but decent."
"Has been a while since I was last here. So consider this an update. 10/02/2023. Ordered the steak lunch hibachi, 5piece sushi lunch that came with a California roll with sides of salad and miso soup. First, I ordered water with lemon because who wants to pay $5 for soft drink? I'm glad water is still free here. Second, the miso soup was quite tasty. Did not seem watered down. Probably the best part of my entire meal. The salad was over dressed. Take a look at the pictures if you don't believe me. The dressing did taste good, but too much! Third, my sushi lunch with Cali roll came out next. 5 pieces of sushi and their version of a Cali roll. The crab was a crab salad. The sushi rice was too moist and was not very pleasant to eat. All of the sushi rice was not very good at all. They did not bring out any wasabi and ginger but asked if I wanted any?!? Isn't that usually standard? At least they couldn't mess up the fish.Lastly, the steak hibachi came out. My coworkers also had the same. The steak tasted like yesterday's cold steak reheated and chopped into a kids bite size portion. The food was heated to that of the inside of a Star Wars Taun-Taun - Luke warm! The tempora vegetables could have been cut in half so you can dip them into the provided tempura sauce. The pieces were also very thick. A huge generous portion of rice. The 2 pieces of gyoza are probably premade store type frozen and reheated. No sauce to dip them into.My coworkers agreed that the food was not up to its past standards. We left a lot of food on our plates. One thing to note is that the prices are very high. Part due to inflation. 2 pieces of sushi will cost you $7.50-$8.50. The lunch meals are around $15 and the sushi rolls go from $10 to $22 depending on the roll. Oh and my coworker had to ask for wasabi and ginger! Why??????I am extremely disappointed in the food here today. Not sure if I will be back anytime soon. I know my coworkers won't be."
"The way this was EXACTLY what I wanted. Today was a day and I did not have it in me to cook. I rarely order from Uber Eats but I had a little extra cash and decided it was worth it to just have an easy night. I wanted noodles. The thick kinda. Udon. I found this place on Yelp, browsed the menu (wish I'd realized I could've just ordered on Yelp cuz there appears to be a fuller menu on here.) I ended up getting the Yaki Udon noodle plate which wasn't too big and just what I needed. Goldilocks ya know? I also got the potstickers which were good but the best part was the sauce provided with them. Not sure what it was but it wasn't super salty. Perfectly sour and sweet. I treated myself with a bit of green tea ice cream for afterwards. I don't know if it's made in the shop but personally not for me."
"I decided on sushi for lunch. Was in a different part of town so I Yelp'ed it. This place popped up with good reviews.I ordered the deluxe Bento box. The tempura was hot and crisp. The soup was great too. The sushi and sashimi was so fresh. This may be the best fish I've had in Tucson. The service was quick and responsive. Took my order quickly and food arrived quickly too. They dropped off my check before I was finished so I didn't have to flag them down later. When I am back in this part of town, I will definitely be back. You should try it too."
"First time here. Busy place, clean, good staff. Enjoyed the food. Wine wasn't bad either for being boxed. Our server was Wijit? She was very helpful and accommodating. We'll definitely be back."
"I had an amazing experience here! Lunch special sushi and nigiri, and a squid dish. Super delicious, super pretty, very clean atmosphere. I felt comfortable and satisfied at the end of the meal."
"Different menu now newer look Inside. Food is good especially the orange chicken and Mongolian beef. The lunch special only comes with 2 crab puffs. Price was right for lunch."
"Had heard good stuff about this place but was a bit skeptical about the various Asian cuisines in one place. This place did not disappoint. I started with some Thai soup which was very spicy and flavorful. We opted for some pot stickers and tuna carpaccio which were both super tasty. Then we scarfed down a few rolls which were pretty incredible. Service was attentive and the place was great. I'll def be back!"
"They are pretty good, but lately the food hasn't been as tender. I think their portion side is wonderful and the shrimp is always tender but the chicken has been a little tough. Such a nice place to get to go from!!!! The veggies are always tender and delicious with a fair price for their food! Eggrolls are yummy as well!"
"Returning for a second time to we once again found our selves immersed in a culinary journey that tantalized the taste buds and delighted the senses. Known for their delectable Las Vegas rolls and inventive sushi creations, this establishment continues to impress with its flavorful offerings. One standout creation during this visit was the Nacho Mama rolls - a spicy delight bursting with bold flavors that left a lasting impression. This unique twist on traditional sushi showcases the restaurant's commitment to creativity and innovation, elevating the dining experience to new heights. The atmosphere of the restaurant provides a comfortable setting for enjoying a meal with friends or family. While it may not boast extravagant décor, the cozy ambiance adds to the overall charm of the dining experience.Service here remains exceptional, with staff members exuding kindness and helpfulness throughout the meal. Their attentiveness ensures that diners feel welcomed and well taken care of from the moment they step through the door.Overall, our second visit here was a success, reaffirming its status as a go-to destination for sushi enthusiasts seeking both quality and creativity. With its delicious offerings, and top-notch service, this establishment continues to set the bar high for sushi dining experiences."
"I have been wanting to try this place for a couple weeks, and since it is 3 minutes from where I work, yesterday was the day. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and I decided to sit at the bar. The staff is super friendly, and there is ample seating. I met Sam, the ownerand his lovely wife, and it is clear just from talking with him, there is GREAT pride in every thing that is prepared. It was suggested I try the Naufrago roll, and I asked for it to be a bit spicy. I was expecting a typical "roll"....but what I got was visually extraordinary, and a LOT of food. The flavor of the roll was such a perfect combination of flavors, I just stopped chewing and let my taste buds enjoy. The roll also comes with imitation crab meat, and ceviche on the side. Truth be told I have not tried ceviche in 9 years after a bad experience. Until last night!! I smelled the ceviche on my plate and the aroma was amazing! Hands down some of the BEST ceviche I have ever had The seasoning allowed the flavors to compliment one another without any one overpowering, and it was so fresh!. The immigration crab meat was excellent, and also prepared from scratch. Sam told me everything is prepared from scratch, and it shows. I ended up calling a co worked to meet me there and help me finish my meal. She LOVED it !! We each ordered a Naufrago roll to go!I can not wait to go back and explore more of the extensive menu! Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed. Family owned , and heart and soul put in every dish."
"So glad I finally checked out this place, formerly Yoshimatsu. The menu changed slightly (added onigiri/omisubi) and it's now order-at-the-counter service but the ownership and quality are still high. I ordered the kitsune (sweet tofu) udon and furikake onigiri, my friend ordered the seaweed salad, salmon nigiri, and tofu onigiri. I ordered an Asahi to drink but they had just changed the tap so the lady gave me a large Kirin at no extra charge, a very nice gesture. The onigiri are very large and one makes a pretty filling appetizer. I would try the tuna mayo or speciality one next time. The food came out very quickly, the udon hit the spot though I forgot how salty fish broth can be! Almost overpowering but the vegetables and tofu balanced it out. Overall, I would get everything again, just maybe sub the veg broth. They also have cute trinkets and gifts for sale. Maybe add some authentic Japanese music to complete the experience. This is a great spot for authentic Japanese food!"
"Sooooooo good!!!I keep coming here for the deep fried California rolls, but I just tried the shrimp tempura, and it's a new favorite!!!My partner got the gyoza, and he said it was "incredibly flavorful, juicy, but perfectly cooked"."
"Whenever people ask for sushi recommendations in town, I add AJs to the list. Yuki is my guy! They can get very busy, but their sushi is fresh and reasonably priced, especially during happy hour (which unfortunately isn't in effect during covid). I love getting tuna and salmon sashimi. They also have daily specials rolls. I often buy fish by the pound from here to have DIY sushi at home. If friends ask where they can buy fish for at home sushi, I tell them to go here. Yuki and the staff are wonderful."
"Tucson isn't known to have the greatest sushi in the world but this place does a great job of satisfying any sushi craving. They don't have a big menu (I believe 6/7 rolls total) but what they do have, they do well. It's also one of the best 'bang for your buck' values I've found, especially for sushi. It is CASH ONLY, so be aware. I ordered 2 rolls that cost me $12 total and they were huge and filling. Filled up the entire takeaway box. This much sushi at any dine-in spot would easily be $25+. Overall, it's a good southside spot for that sushi craving. Will definitely be back for more. 4/5*"
"love this place! i recommend it to all my friends. i bring my family here all the time. my favorite is guamuchiljto sushi and their birria tacos!"
"A casual, inconspicuous sushi spot serving up better rolls than much more popular restaurants. I read about Flakes in a local paper. The story is--a man who worked at a ton of high profile Japanese restaurants decided to go into business for himself. I think it was a great choice! The menu is pretty simple, but everything is fresh, with generous portions. And I think they have the best crab rangoons in town! This is an excellent lunch spot if you're downtown!"
"Great Sushi Food Truck. They prepare food quick and very tasty Togo. Some covered seating near busy Southside Carniceria.Very friendly staff, no bathroom, limited soda cans , have salads and appetizers.Wednesday is a great day for roll specials! They will change ingredients upon request as long as you are reasonable.Tap to pay credit card or Zelle"
"Portions were big, recommend getting fried rolls! No music playing which was a little weird. Would go back though!"
