"Very disappointing, I made my appointment with Dr Wanon for a diabetic eye exam and was not informed that he is no longer with them. I traveled from Casa Grande for the exam because in the past it was the most comprehensive I had gotten. The refraction test was inaccurate and poorly done. The total exam was shortened and not as comprehensive as in the past. I also wanted contacts and was informed that they do not do contact examinations. I am very dissatisfied."
"Really liked Dr Jason with the unpronouncable last name. The woman who helped with the preliminary exam and with buying my glasses was friendly and helpful."
"The exam experience was phenomenal. Thorough with a high level of communication, I clearly understand my optical needs, the condition of my sight, and what to do to care f ok r my eyes. I purchased a new pair of Oakley sunglasses. Nice selection."
"From check in to check out, I had a great experience for my first time coming here. The staff at check in were kind and helpful. Wait time wasn't bad at all. The staff helping me to the back were wonderful. When I finally met Dr.Wang and his assistant Vanessa they were very kind and helpful for my situation. Dr.Wang is very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. He makes sure the patient is receiving the right care safely. This office is clean and well kept. Staff members provide excellent customer service and Dr.Wang is a kind doctor. Highly recommended! 5 stars earned!"
"I had good care with dr Setlock a couple times going in for third round . Last time they couldn't find me in system but did eventually . Knowledgeable dr and easy to get appointments. I get 20$ exams through my insurance and happy not to be pressured to buy frames or glasses I don't need ? But if you do need or want frames / glasses many choices. NE corner of swan sunrise in mall"
"Fast, friendly, efficient staff. There was absolutely no waiting around. I don't know about the other locations, but the Alvernon/5th location is a well-oiled machine. We both were given thorough exams, and the optometrist was happy to answer my questions.Great covid precautions, even now (July 2021)."
"Dr Sharon Peterson at the east side location is terrific but only does eye exams Wed/Thur. The price is a bit of a mystery. If you book via their answering service (option 1) you're going to get some oddball (lower) price (which Alvernon "might" still honor, or might not). Note that their "real price" is an eye-popping $108 for exams, so be warned when shopping/comparing their actual fee with other optometrists! Staff is pleasant but do a heavy pitch to buy glasses from them. Frame options are decent but (especially for men) could be better. Parking is easy and hours are good (until 6pm plus half days Saturday)."
"On the plus side, the waiting area and office areas are modern and nice, and the exam process is thorough, with a helpful team in place. On the down side, I went for a full vision exam and asked to receive a copy of my prescription that day. A few weeks later, when I decided to shop for eyeglasses, I realized that my Rx didn't have the PD included. When I stopped by Family Vision to ask for that measurement, they didn't have it on record and said it would be a $10 charge to provide it because they needed to compensate the optician for the time needed to perform the task. I noted that I was a current customer who had just had an exam, but the assistant said that didn't matter. In many decades of visiting eye doctors in several states, I have never been asked to pay a fee for my PD measurement, and it's unclear why that isn't part of an exam and/or covered by insurance. Overall, I will still go there and appreciate the convenient location."
"I adore this practice and all of the doctors! It is because of the doctors that my vision was saved after contracting an eye disorder. The staff is extremely kind and thorough, and the choices of glasses are amazing. I get so many compliments on all of my glasses, because they are all cute!Offering hours six days a week, it is easy to get an appointment. The office is up to date on its equipment and methods, and one doesn't feel rushed when trying to make selections. Just a great optical practice!"
"After retirement, I hought I could no longer afford H-toT eye care and glasses.i have learned a valuable lesson: I can't trust my eye care to the box shops. Dr Z and her staff do a comprehensive exam- not a 'routine' exam. Dr Z takes the time to run the tests, then double check the results with additional work. To fit glasses, she does measurements and settings NO box store will do. Her prescription is precise, for each and every customer, and the lenses are much better than those offered at box stores. drop the box store, support a local business and get a better product with superior results for YOUR vision."
"I visited the office located on Tanque Verde and I can't say enough great things about my experience. The moment I arrived everyone was extremely professional & kind. I ordered beautiful Swarovski Aviator frames I receive many compliments. One lense popped out .. I had a knee injury and I couldn't really walk inside. Alex Williams couldn't have been more genuinely kind & accommodating. He came out to my car within 3 minutes brought them inside ... all was fixed. I can't say enough great things about my entire experience with Arizona Primary Eye Care.... Alex is to be commended.... If I could give 100 Stars I would. Great selection of frames too. Thank you again Alex ... you are one of a kind. So if your debating where to go ..... debate no longer. This was a WIN/WIN."
"I rarely give 5 stars if ever but this is the one. I feel like I can actually see! I've been obviously having eye exams for years but could never really see... weird I know but this changed today! I'm in daily trial contacts and have never seen clearer. I was previously in stigma correcting ones in right eye n always dizzy. This place was so thorough and educational and I can't say enough!!!"

I was disgusted and appalled to find out that my 89-year-old grandmother had an appointment in there today and had was forced to have a mask TAPED to her face. What a horrible display of elder abuse she will not be back neither will anyone that I know!!! I had an eye exam maskless a year ago at Hothi optometry. A YEAR AGO!! I can't even trust someones judgement that is this scared, misinformed and not to mention cruel! Hopefully my grandmother will not need a dermatologist now after your abuse with the tape.

I went for an eye exam and new glasses because they had a Living Social deal for a free exam and like $150 off the frames. What they don't tell you is they run a test for glaucoma that the deal does not cover. It was $25. They had a good selection of frames, I am very happy with my new look. The people were helpful and took the time to make sure you were happy with your pic. The optometrist was professional and knowledgeable. It was about 2 weeks until I got to pick up my new frames. They made sure they fit well. I doubt I would have gone without the deal, but it wasn't a bad experience.

I went to the new office in Oro Valley on the advice of my brother and sister in law. We're all new here, so all new doctors. They loved them, so I went.I have problem eyes, So I was nervous that it would be hard to get my prescription right. Doctor was great, patient and thorough. Some frames were picked out for me to try while I was having my eyes checked. She did a great b job of picking. I've never had help like that before, and I ended up getting frames that I normally would not have chosen on my own. Highly recommend them.

My vision was restored with cataract surgery performed by Dr McColgin. I have been extremely nearsighted with thick glasses my entire adult life. I am now 20/20 and use readers. Incredible outcome and I am very thankful. I am being monitored by Dr Moffat for other issues that could damage my eyesight. I am privileged to have found such a high quality conscientious practice. The surgery and stable outcome has allowed me to drive safely and enjoy nature and the beauty around me. Huge, huge, huge!!

I went here about about a year ago. So I wasn't sure what to think of this place I was new to Tucson. So it was ok, but my prescription wasn't right I ended up using my daughters glasses which was perfect for me. My daughters frames broke and that was handled nicely. My complaint would be about the sales guy. He really didn't want to tell me about the discounted glasses which were at about the price my insurance would cover $150. He was a little pushy. Then after trying to convince me of getting a bunch of stuff for our glasses it's was going to end up being hundreds extra. All I asked for was that it have UV protection. He was trying to lie to me about my benefits, or withhold info from me thinking I would buy a bunch of I didn't need. So I looked up my own benefits and told him what I wanted. He seemed upset. Wte .Then afterwards I tried to get the prescription for my glasses and my daughters just in case we needed to buy an extra pair online or sunglasses or whatever. He refused to give us the axis number for our eyes. My eye doctor back home would give these to me no problem so I was confused. Then he said he would give them to us but we would have to pay a fee. The whole time making it very uncomfortable. I ended up just looking and writing it down for mine and taking a picture while he wasn't looking haha. I have never heard of that before so it just seemed like he was being petty cuz I didn't want poly lenses for me and my daughter and a bunch of other . Well of course I never went back. This year daughter went to the Alvernon optical on tanque verde and they literally print it out for u and put it on ur new glasses when you pick them up. Which confirmed for me that I was NEVER going back to this location. I tried a new eye place for myself, and I'm so glad I did because were just never going back to Alvernon optical.

I loved the optometrist, the lady selling me the glasses was nice. The thing I didn't like is the lady that gave me the finish product. I responded to a survey they sent me and let them know that I felt the lady was rude. The manager called me and I let him know that I felt she was rude. I told him I tried to talk to the lady about it and if felt as if he didn't feel the employee was accountable. He kept making excuses for her and never admitted to any wrong doing on her part. I understand that people create relationships in the work place and that's good. However as a customer I was the one trying to use de-escalating tactics on one of their employees and was still treated as if no wrong was done. Will not go back.

All around a fantastic experience. From the very first phone call to make my appointment to picking up my glasses, everyone was so nice and so helpful. Dr.Peterson is outstanding, and the Manager of the Tanque Verde location was just beyond awesome! We are fairly new to Tucson, and the level of medical care you get here is subpar - that is until you walk into see Dr. Peterson and the staff at Alvernon Optical on Tanque Verde and Sabino Canyon! Thanks again for ALL of your help!

My husband was having issues with his left eye, so I made an appointment for him with Dr. Amy at Family Vision Center. She was able to diagnose him and prescribed some antibiotic drops. He told me that she was so nice and that he wished more doctors were like that! Thank you to Family Vision Center for getting the issue taken care of quickly and for treating him well.

"My daughter had two vision screenings at her daycare- one in July and one in early December of this year, during these last 6 months, they progressively worsened. As a result, I decided to locate an optometrist who works with pediatrics and has the patience needed. I called three different places that Google recommended including Envision Eyecare Center, Banner Ophthalmology, and Sato's office. The Banner people were rude and not helpful (review pending), the staff at Sato's office were equally as rude and unhelpful; nonetheless, I made an appointment with them (for mid- January 2018). Finally, I called Envision Eyecare Center and they were so personable on the telephone and were able to get me in the following week. I called Sato's office and cancelled my appointment and showed up at Envision a few days ago (12/27/17). Everyone from the front desk person (Erica) to the optometric technician (Jessica) to Dr Barry and the licensed dispensing optician (Laura) were amazing and most of all patient with a 3 year old: Erica greeted us upon entry even though she was with another patient. We waited patiently for our turn and then check-in, filled out appropriate paperwork, provided our insurance card and ID and sat in their waiting area. They even had a smaller kid-sized table and chairs. Erica came and showed my kiddo where the toys were and helped her get settled in as we patiently waited our turn. Unlike, most of my experiences with doctor's office we only waited the 15 minutes we were early and were then called back by Jessica. Jessica introduced herself to me, but most importantly to her- YES, TO A KID! Jessica asked my kiddo if she felt more comfortable with her sitting on my lap or on the chair alone, being my kid- she responded "alone." She then proceeded to ask me the questions only a parent could answer and would intermittently check-in with my kiddo. *MAJOR KUDOS FOR THAT* This built immediate rapport with my kiddo and my kiddo proceeded onto the exam. At the end of Jessica's part, she even remembered to get my kiddo the cup of water that she had previously promised her. *KUDOS X2 FOR FOLLOWING THRU*Dr Barry came in, introduced himself to mom and dad and than to our kiddo. He was a slender, mid-height, older gentleman with one of the kindest faces I have ever seen. He had an appropriate level of energy and made us (mom & dad) laugh occasionally. He was extremely knowledgeable of his "trade" and was able to effectively explain to both of us what exactly was going on with our kiddo's eyes, how the school screening went and was his recommendations would be. By this time, my kiddo was becoming inpatient and her attention span was shorter and shorter, not to worry though, Dr. Barry was able to hold it for as long as he could for each step of his examination. He even offered to take a picture with her for her first exam, but she declined and told "next time." Finally, Dr Barry escorted us to a section adjacent to the waiting area where there were numerous frames, big, small and some for the kiddos. Laura came out and helped us. Showed us a cabinet with kiddo frames and my kiddo went away trying them on until she finally decided on ones she liked and the rest is history...well actually, we're waiting for them now. I've had glasses for many years and so has the hubby, we've only had two seamless interactions (including this one) and we're so happy we know our kiddo is in good hands. We were also happy to find out that we can bring our prescriptions to Laura (or one of the other ladies) and get our frames here as well!"
"Really nice local place good service they have other outlets in Arizona area in case you need something from them that they can't provide down in Greenvalley I see Dr. Flores down there and get my glasses at the Green Valley location and I have never been disappointed."
"What a great find! From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed by the friendly professional staff. We also appreciated the thorough exam and good communication. This is a great business and our family was impressed. We will definitely be back and are happy to make this our go to for eye care."
"Not sure if I will give this place more than 3 stars. It has been 3 weeks and we haven't heard from them regarding our contact lenses. And we are going on a trip in 2 weeks."
"This place is very difficult to find. Google maps tells you it's in the opposite side of the road. The parking lot itself is a giant cluster of madness. I finally located the office and came in to be greeted by very friendly staff. She hands me a clipboard of paperwork to fill out... mind you, I'm here because my eyes are messed up. The papers are small in front and has a few black lines thru the text! This made reading what I needed to fill out a big challenge. Hopefully I did it rightAmber at the front desk was calling a patient on the phone on speaker. Everyone in the waiting room heard the recording as well as her message that she left. Pretty sure this is a HIIPA violation. Be prepared to wait a solid 45 minutes from the time you arrive until the time you actually get taken back to see the doc.The eye doc himself is super informative and relays info to the patients so we can understand."
"I've been coming to Dr. Husz for over five years now, her office is amazing! Dr. Husz is an excellent doctor, she always explains things and is very kind as she has an amazing bedside manner. I've sent several of my friends her way and they are all very happy with her as well. The front desk staff is very helpful and returns calls promptly, the opticians are all vey sweet and helpful.Thank you."
"Nice people work here. The doctors are always helpful and greet to work with. The opticians are well trained and friendly. They gave all the latest equipment and take care of our special needs. I would not go anywhere else!"
"The doctor was amazing! I haven't had a prescription help me see that well ever and I've been wearing glasses since elementary school. The staff was friendly and everything was very professional. My only point off would be for lack of affordable options but wow definitely coming back!"
"My family has been coming to Friske For several years now and the service and exams have always been great. There's never been any pushy sales and I feel like the pricing is more than fair. I would recommend them to anyone"
"I've been holding off on this review for a while because I was so disappointed my last visit and I will never go back. First of all I came to them because they are both optometry and ophthalmology. Only they don't do it in the same appointment or even back to back. They claim to have the latest in equipment and tests you can't get anywhere else. New to them they have the same testes and procedures as the next office. This last visit was again awful, they had all new staff and they didn't seem to know what they were doing. At the end of an ophthalmology visit it is always the custom to check in with the doctor for a couple of minutes to see if there is any change. I've been going 2 times a year for around 20 years and this had always been done. I asked when am I going to see the doctor, they said they never do that, mind you they had only been there a week when I went. Beware"
"I just had the BEST experience I've ever had at an Optometrist's office! These folks are professional, knowledgeable, wonderful, friendly and super nice.I learned much more today than for the past years at other places. They take all the time you need and mind you, you're the only patient in the office at the time of your appointment. They take Covid seriously and I'm very grateful for that! I'm terrible at picking frames and they made sure I got the right look. When I put on the pair that was selected for me, I knew this was the pair I needed. The whole staff will let you know what looks best on you; no more guessing!Looking forward to my next appointment."
"Dr Wright is amazing. And so are all of the staff here. My father has had a very serious issue which has required multiple surgeries. Every time we see Dr Wright, she's honest, compassionate, and efficient. She's squeezed him in and worked extra hours to help my Dad and I'm so appreciative!"
"I have been going to Silverbell Eyecare for a few years now. I have always found them very friendly and helpful. The doctor is kind and forthright so I feel confident in the treatment. They are not high pressure as far as sales, and always look to find deals for me since I am on a budget. I have never been charged for a trial pair of contact lenses as I read in other reviews. They bill at the time the service was done, so there are never surprises. It was easy to get my prescription from them, in case I want to buy glasses somewhere else as well."
"We were traveling from out of state. My father-in-law took a spill at the airport. His prescription eye glasses were damaged in the fall. The other nationwide eye glass place in mall wouldn't touch them. They said they could not fix them because of liability. I came across Optical Image and asked if they could help. The Doctor took the glasses to the back and fixed them, in no time at all! A huge thank you for helping us out. Two thumbs up!"
"I went to an appointment today because I have been wanting to have the option for a while to wear contacts. My contacts came in and so I went today for the "lesson" on how to put them in and take them out. I remember (years ago) it seemed a lot easier! Alexis was awesome!!! She was very patient with me and gave me good pointers to lead me to success! Thank you Alexis and keep up the amazing work!!!!!! I appreciate you!!!"
"I recently made an appointment to get my eyes checked and I was able to get in pretty quickly. Everyone in this office is very professional and friendly. I was impressed with the efficiency of the visit and getting to see the Dr and have all of my questions answered. I'm very glad I found this place for my eye care."
"Appointment scheduling easy! Dr. Bobbitt is an absolute delight. She explained everything clearly and I didn't feel rushed. Davina helped me with the choices for my glasses. She listened and provided me with 2 options and I chose them both. Definitely saved my indecisive self a significant amount of time!! Thanks for an amazing visit!"
"My elderly, low vision family member had an infection in her seeing eye that needed to be checked out. Dr. Lewis was the first appointment available, and he pulled in Dr. Maltzman since he regularly worked with her. Dr. Maltzman prescribed antibiotic eye drops and scheduled a follow-up with her at the start of the following week. At that appointment, the condition had not improved, so he added another drop and--because the cornea was involved--got her in to see Dr. Bakewell two days later.Dr. Bakewell took a corneal scraping to determine what antibiotic would work best. The testing process, unfortunately, takes 3-5 days. He had her back in as soon as the results came back and called the local compounding pharmacy to get the appropriate antibiotics in our hands that day. He also called Dr. Duerksen to see if she could fit my family member in to fix her ectropion eyelides, since he thought it contributed to the infection. The phone calls were much appreciated and beyond what many doctors would do.For the next month, he saw my family member every week to check on her progress. When she became ill and passed, we notified the office so they would cancel future appointments. Within days we received a sympathy card from the office. Our family's experience with Drs. Maltzman and Bakewell was 5-star. Do make sure you get electronic confirmation of appointments made over the phone."
"I had a great visit. It's been over ten years since my last eye checkup and I had a plenty of concerns. From the moment I came in I was greeted by courteous and professional staff. I had a nice chat with the receptionist and the doctor's assistant who took my initial readings. They were all very personable and helped me feel at ease.Dr. Cinalli looked at my first readings and told me that he could tell from those that my eyes were fine. But he followed that up with asking what has been bothering me, and what my concerns were. He continued and gave a very thorough eye exam and finished with a great explanation of the status of my eyesight, causes of my issues, where I can expect my eyesight to go in coming years, what sort of prescription I need, and why.I showed him my old glasses from years ago and he was honest and told me my eyesight hadn't changed enough to warrant a new set. He didn't try to swindle me into buying new frames or push any products on me. He simply explained my eyesight had changed a little since last time, but that I was good with what I had. Even still he wrote me a prescription should I have felt like updated my current pair. They gave my old pair of glasses a tune up for $6, tightening up the arms, swapping out the pads, and cleaning up the lenses. I felt like my glasses were new again. I was impressed with my whole visit and I'd recommend this place and doctor to anyone."
"Just had my yearly peepers exam :-) and once again....terrific customer service by all! They keep their appointments on time, I'm never left waiting to be seen. They are a small business, but very efficient."
"Took my 15 year old to get her eyes examined here. They were quick and efficient. They have a newer electronic machine that is not like the conventional "better here or here" "one or two " approach. The machine also provides distancing because it is controlled by computer not the doctor moving different lenses around. It seems he was still learning it a bit but the results were interesting . Prescription was a bit different than previous exams. She got her glasses made elsewhere their timing was 4 weeks for glasses. She's had her glasses for almost a month now and likes the prescription."
"Great experience here! Everyone was friendly, attentive and explained everything to me in a way that I understood. Location was clean, good vibe inside and smiling employees."
