The space itself is quite spacious and bright, with plenty of available seating.We ordered the following:Arabic coffee $4.99Shrimp ghallaba $18.99Gyros pita $10.99Baklava $2.99The coffee was fantastic. It was strong and unique. I really liked it. My entrée was the shrimp ghallaba which had shrimp, peppers, onions, tomatoes, carrots and rice and hummus. It was flavorful. The portion was quite generous, and I had to take some of it to-go. Hubs had the gyro and he said it was okay. Before leaving, I just had to try the baklava - we ordered it to-go and proceeded to eat it in the car on the way home. It was delicious! In fact, we wished we had ordered two!"

My friend recommended this place while I was in town and I was blown away by the authenticity and flavors of the menu! "Definitely a hidden gem! I actually peaked into the front of this place once before and thought it was just a store with decorations. I later found it in a search and wanted to check it out because of the extensive menu. So happy I tried it! The menu is HUGE! Seafood and pastas and meats and salads (19 different ones!) and pitas (25 different kinds!) and more. They also have an extensive wine and beer collection. It was totally empty when we went in on a Tuesday at 5:30. Both of our dishes were super good. Really amazing flavors and fresh. The Salmon La Scala had a great dill flavor and the Lemon Cilantro Linguini was soo lemony, just like I like it! I will definitely be going back to try more dishes!!"

"After listening to a friend rave about this place for weeks the husband was close enough today to pick up some lunch. They have a great website with clear menu descriptions and pictures of the options, making it easy to call in an order if you've never been. The call was answered promptly and good service given over the phone. Told 10 minutes till ready. The husband showed up and just had a wait a couple minutes for the food, which gave time to look around store and pick up some Turkish delight and see all the spices that are available there.We ordered the falafel plate, beef kebab plate and combo plate which had both chicken and beef kebabs. The kebab plates came up with rice and all plates came with hummus, pita and a little salad. Huge servings. The daughter and I will both get two meals out of the one.Delicious food, great sauces, and good service. Definite win"

The food is where I feel like they lose points .. shrimp wasn't super flavorful, chicken was just okay. While unique, the feta fries were bland but also a bit dry. The gyros sandwich was pretty good; I did like the rice. If I return, I'll be sticking to chicken (maybe gyros) & rice. I haven't tried the falafel yet.Overall, the regular items weren't too wow-worthy. If you're going, keep in mind prices are high ($18 for a plate with chicken & sides)."

"Stopped by on my way home to pick up lunch. This corner market has a restaurant behind the store front and serves a full menu of middle eastern, East African, and East European dishes. I really wanted chicken shawarma so I got the sandwich and a sambusa as well. I hadn't had shawarma in ages and this was as good as I remember, although I don't know if I've had it with tomato and cucumber before. The pita was soft and chewy and held everything together nicely (reheated, open-faced to show contents). The chicken was well-seasoned and the tahini sauce added a nice touch. I'd never had sambusa before but reviews raved about it and it was definitely worth it. Similar to an Indian samosa, it's an Ethiopian version of a triangular pastry fried and filled with ground beef and I think diced onions, carrots, and peas? Cumin is definitely the stand out spice here. I learned about Ras el hanout from a meal kit recipe and this seemed to contain some of those spices as well. Very aromatic and flavorful. I ate it too quick before I could take a photo but it's a perfect appetizer. Aside from delicious shawarma and sambusa, the employee who helped me was friendly and the meal cost $8! I was taken aback for a second wondering if I wasn't charged for the sambusa or something but it was just that good of a deal. I'll need to scope out the groceries for some specialties next time. Check out this little gem off Speedway."

Last time I had some was at B. K. in Tucson. Only thing I was not happy with was the price. 4 little snack for almost 10 bux.. I opted for 2 pepper and 2 shrimp. Also ordered birria flautas. Toritos were yummy, stuffed cheese inside pepper wrapped in bacon and deep fried... Yummy. Chipotle dipping sauce was not bad. Shrimp wrapped in bacon deep fried also pretty good. Was it worth almost 10 bux? No. Menudo was pretty good. Wish it was little bit more hotter in temperature. But the price was pretty reasonable. Birria flautas was pretty good also. Flauta size is very generous, stuffed with meat. Birria broth in other bad was little bit on the weak side. Almost like just broth and they added some seasoning after. Was it bad? No but it wasn't amazing.Over all service was good, food was pretty good. If I could I would give it 3.5 stars but I can't.. So I leaned more toward 4 instead of 3. I would definitely come back here and try some other dishes."

Thursdays are usually a take-out night for us and finally saw this place up on doordash!Upon delivery, food was still hot and fresh (kudos to the driver). Our order consisted of gyro, Greek fries, and the chicken and kabob plate. The gyro was very good and the tzatziki sauce really balanced the fattiness of the meat. My only wish was that it was never-ending!The kabob and chicken plate was also very satisfying; the rice was perfect, chicken was not dry, and the kabob was tender!Top notch spot worth trying!"

"I really enjoy eating at Urban Pita's downtown restaurant so when I found out there was a location closer to me, I got super excited! The food tastes so good. The hummus platter with meat is my go to. So delicious! The service was very good. One time I went, I thought I had placed an online order but it didn't go through. They got my order in and my food was ready pretty quickly! Very clean restaurant. It's close enough to work that it's now in my regular lunch rotation!"
