"The best flavored and FRESH taco experience in town. Sit down or take out. You cannot go wrong with the chicken or carne asada tacos. Two is plenty for these cooks fill'em up. I have NO clue how the sushi side is... I hear it's just as fresh and good... the place is semi small. Eight 4x seaters in all. Plus two tables outside, and a few bar seats. It can get loud in here for conversations echo in small spaces. Love the energy of the crew. Taco Tuesday is always a very fast paced day.... So expect some delays with seating and food... "I went to Sushi Lin three times last week. The worst part? Inconsistent. On the first day, I got a soft shell crab roll, which was fantastic. Service was great. My father in law got an order of the orange chicken, which he said was so good that he went back a second time that week, too. My husband got a few different rolls, and I got the fried rice for my little one. All delicious, though one of the rolls was too spicy my husband said. His option but not an indication of the food quality. Overall, great experience. The second time, I went with a coworker during lunch, and we each got the bento boxes. The skewer was great, and the ginger salad dressing was just the right taste. I was not a fan of the teriyaki chicken or the spicy tuna roll. The chicken was overtone and hard. The third time, we got the chicken fried rice and an order of the szechuan chicken. The fried rice was delicious. The chicken was bland. No flavor but the spice. I give it 4 stars because the good food I had was good. I'd just like to see a bit more consistency. I plan to go back to try more rolls."

"So glad I finally checked out this place, formerly Yoshimatsu. The menu changed slightly (added onigiri/omisubi) and it's now order-at-the-counter service but the ownership and quality are still high. I ordered the kitsune (sweet tofu) udon and furikake onigiri, my friend ordered the seaweed salad, salmon nigiri, and tofu onigiri. I ordered an Asahi to drink but they had just changed the tap so the lady gave me a large Kirin at no extra charge, a very nice gesture.The onigiri are very large and one makes a pretty filling appetizer. I would try the tuna mayo or speciality one next time. The food came out very quickly, the udon hit the spot though I forgot how salty fish broth can be! Almost overpowering but the vegetables and tofu balanced it out. Overall, I would get everything again, just maybe sub the veg broth. They also have cute trinkets and gifts for sale. Maybe add some authentic Japanese music to complete the experience. This is a great spot for authentic Japanese food!"

"Ginza is always the sushi restaurant I suggest when anyone asks for delicious sushi! But it had been a couple years since I had visited and I forgot how incredibly delicious everything is! To start, their miso soup is gluten free and so flavorful and delicious! Their staff is very knowledgeable about what is gluten free and what can be made gluten free. And there are SO many options!They are able to swap real crab instead of the fake crab to make rolls gluten free.Everything as beyond delicious, the staff was so helpful and friendly and the ambiance is pretty and calm.We went early (5:00), no wait. But it was full by 5:30.Can't wait to go back soon!"

"The way this was EXACTLY what I wanted. Today was a day and I did not have it in me to cook. I rarely order from Uber Eats but I had a little extra cash and decided it was worth it to just have an easy night. I wanted noodles. The thick kinda. Udon. I found this place on Yelp, browsed the menu (wish I'd realized I could've just ordered on Yelp cuz there appears to be a fuller menu on here.) I ended up getting the Yaki Udon noodle plate which wasn't too big and just what I needed. Goldilocks ya know? I also got the potstickers which were good but the best part was the sauce provided with them. Not sure what it was but it wasn't super salty. Perfectly sour and sweet. I treated myself with a bit of green tea ice cream for afterwards. I don't know if it's made in the shop but personally not for me."

"If you're in the mood for some good Ramen and sushi Maru is a great place to go, although the location isn't very large the staff is very friendly and accommodating.Came on a Friday evening and it packed up pretty quickly luckily we were able to order and sit down before the line reached almost to the door .For an appetizer, we got the pork Katsu and some fried chicken bites I found the port to be a little bit oily and didn't have much flavor, but the chicken was very good, especially with the accommodating sauceI opted for the Tan tan Ramen, which is a spicy ground pork Ramen it was full of flavor. I added some beans, sprouts and green onion. And had to make sure I got the Matcha wafer ice cream bar .Overall, the Mills very delicious and I will definitely return to try some of the other options."

"Has been a while since I was last here. So consider this an update. 10/02/2023. Ordered the steak lunch hibachi, 5piece sushi lunch that came with a California roll with sides of salad and miso soup. First, I ordered water with lemon because who wants to pay $5 for soft drink? I'm glad water is still free here. Second, the miso soup was quite tasty. Did not seem watered down. Probably the best part of my entire meal. The salad was over dressed. Take a look at the pictures if you don't believe me. The dressing did taste good, but too much! Third, my sushi lunch with Cali roll came out next. 5 pieces of sushi and their version of a Cali roll. The crab was a crab salad. The sushi rice was too moist and was not very pleasant to eat. All of the sushi rice was not very good at all. They did not bring out any wasabi and ginger but asked if I wanted any?!? Isn't that usually standard? At least they couldn't mess up the fish.Lastly, the steak hibachi came out. My coworkers also had the same. The steak tasted like yesterday's cold steak reheated and chopped into a kids bite size portion. The food was heated to that of the inside of a Star Wars Taun-Taun - Luke warm! The tempora vegetables could have been cut in half so you can dip them into the provided tempura sauce. The pieces were also very thick. A huge generous portion of rice. The 2 pieces of gyoza are probably premade store type frozen and reheated. No sauce to dip them into.My coworkers agreed that the food was not up to its past standards. We left a lot of food on our plates. One thing to note is that the prices are very high. Part due to inflation. 2 pieces of sushi will cost you $7.50-$8.50. The lunch meals are around $15 and the sushi rolls go from $10 to $22 depending on the roll. Oh and my coworker had to ask for wasabi and ginger! Why??????I am extremely disappointed in the food here today. Not sure if I will be back anytime soon. I know my coworkers won't be."

"Saw some reviews about good udon and that it was in the list for best udon in Tucson so decided to give it a try.Parking lot is small and can't accommodate everyone inside but luckily there was a spot left when we got there.I tried their lunch special udon and California roll for $10. Not only a good price, and a filling meal, but tasty as well. They also provide free miso soup as well.I also tried their rainbow roll, pretty good.And I tried the baked scallop roll. Very tasty and a little spicy .Service was friendly, fast, and efficient.Definitely a good place to try for sushi and udon."

It continued at the counter while placing my order. I ordered Beef Usom Noodles bowl in beef broth for my Wife and Beef Yukasoba and a plain side Tofu "no sauces" for us to share.The tofu arrived decorated in Teriyaki. We ordered dine in and received takeout. I loved my Beef Yukasoba and my wife enjoyed her Usom Noodle Bowl.Observation for my new Resturant friend who works there. There were too many employees behind the counter socializing and cutting it up causing me to repeat my order several times. Typically there are no more than two. The restaurant was not busy.This has always been a friendly fast food restaurant which I thought that greeting was a great way to begin their customer experience, not today."

"This place is fantastic. It's my go-to sushi place in Tucson. We usually get the Santiago or the Diamondback roll (they're off-menu) or the Crazy Boy /Crazy Girl. The rolls are a really great value and I love that each piece is small enough to actually fit in your mouth. Those gigantic oversized roll pieces that you have to bite in half to eat and that come apart are the worst! Our group also ordered the ramen (off menu) and teriyaki bento box. Both got rave reviews.I've eaten here at least a dozen times in the last 2 years and every single time the quality has been great and the fish has been really fresh. I've never had an issue with their service. Waiters don't come to your table constantly but if you need them, they're usually available immediately or after a short wait. One of the waiters I've had was not super friendly but not once have I experienced what I'd call rudeness. Sometimes perceived rudeness is just a cultural difference or a response to customer behavior or even someone just having a really bad day like we all do!The décor of this place always makes me laugh because I'm not sure if it used to be a sports bar and the new owners just adopted the same aesthetic and add a couple of Asian items to the place or if the owners just love sports and decided to ignore conventional sushi resto décor but I can appreciate both those options lol What's important is that the place is clean and smells good."

"This was my first visit here and I'd glanced at other reviews before we came. While many others complained about service, we had a wonderful, friendly server who checked on us often. I was a little more taken aback by the older, dingy feel of the restaurant. We were there for lunch and it felt very dark and uninviting. I felt the food was served in generous portions. We ordered gyoza, Kimchee Bokeum, and Teriyaki Chicken. The three of us agreed that everything was cooked to our satisfaction. You can really never go wrong with gyoza."

All I can say is my family was raving about how fresh the sushi was and the taste was out of this world especially the octopus was on point which many sushi chef's aren't but Maggie the sushi chef/owner make it taste so good like butter! All the sushi/sashimi cuts were excellent and I honestly felt I was in Scottsdale but no more bc we have our new favorite sushi place right here in gold canyon now The cucumber salad is also a must try bc it was so light and crisp which made it so refreshing. "When I'm on the West side and can't make it back to Sachiko, I hit up Shogun!Their portions are akin to a very famous Portland, OR sushi destination, Saburo's... Just massive portions. Enormous! Their fish is also fresh, I've never had anything suspect at all.The only issue I had this time was my Hamachi Sashimi was seared... Hamachi is not seared... Albacore (sometimes referred to as White tuna) is seared because its flesh is so soft it can fall apart, so it is seared. Hamachi is NEVER seared, it was a very annoying experience. A small but noticeable flaw. I'll remember to ask them not to sear the next time I visit them.I'm not gonna complain they don't use Japanese Sushi Chefs, otherwise you would never get the enormous portions."

They do DJ great music, so if you want a quiet place, you may just want to do take out, but service was great."

We ordered a plethora of rolls, including spicy crab, roll, tempura, roll, and the special of the month the Lover roll. The rolls were good , my suggestion is for the lover roll have a little bit more of a sauce because it was very dense and dry. I decided to try to softshell crab, the tempura was nice and Crispy . And the crab tasted fresh, sometimes soft shell crab can become fibrous. this was cooked well. My daughter got the Bento box she enjoyed it and loved the miso soup . Service was top notch, young gentleman that took care of us make sure that our waters were full and checked on us repeatedly to make sure we enjoyed our meal. We will probably come back again and dine in try some other rolls in the near future."

The sushi was fresh and everything else we ordered on the menu tasted amazing. The second time I went my husband and I were both served sushi that smelled and tasted rotten. It's really hard to go back somewhere when it's left an unsavory flavor in your mouth for the last time. The restaurant is a hoarder's paradise of knickknacks on the walls and the shelves, which looks like it could use a dusting. The owners are warm and friendly. They have always treated us and our children wonderfully (especially with the free pocky). We will be back, but probably not for sushi."

"Found this Truck outside of PX at Davis-Monthan, had a nice line which was a good sign. My wife lived in Japan as a child and wanted to try out a couple of dishes especially the dessert. She did the ordering except for the Octopus Balls, so will not attempt to remember names of dishes in fear of mutilating them. They were all delicious, and my wife said it took her back to childhood. The ordering process was easy, the staff was friendly and despite the wait being long it was understood due to crowd of hungry customers. We enjoyed our lunch and wife's trip down memory lane."
