"Not a lot of places offer vegan ice cream options - and most of the ones that do aren't this good! I ordered the fudgescicle flavor and it was rich, creamy, and chocolatey. Most places only offer sorbets as vegan offerings, so I was happy to indulge! The staff was friendly and the tables outside were surprisingly quiet. I'll be back here!"
"Been several years since I have been here... but I must say, everything is still just as great as they were when they first opened! I really don't consider myself an ice cream person... but I will never turn down Ice cream from the screamery, it's always fresh and creamy. Not overwhelming sugary tasting! And I love that they label the flavors that are gluten free! Best flavor, and I don't know why more ppl don't do it is coffee toffee but also honey comb!"
"STAFF: Everyone is always very nice and welcoming!GELATO: So much more authentic than another "popular" place!PRICING: Appropriate for the quality!AMBIANCE: Best to grab and go outside to a table."
"Easily the best spot for dessert on Congress, and the best ice cream I've had in Tucson! What I love: Excellent variety of flavors, with a few fruity blends, several chocolatey delights, and all sorts of caramel. My absolute favorite is the Sweet Cream Honeycomb (in a cake cone!), but I also love the Triple Play (chocolate with chocolate chunks and brownies) or the Peppermint Bark. Prices are excellent, and there's a cute little patio outside. You have to check this out!"
"I will randomly crave this place at times and luckily its no too far from me. I have had their fresas con crema, frozen fresas con crema, escamochas, and ice cream. Everything taste wise has been pretty consistent. They serve Thrifty ice cream which is my absolute favorite. The escamocha is always pretty good and the fruit tastes fresh. The fresas con crema, both regular and frozen are bomb. We always make sure to add condensed milk, granola, and coconut.Service is ok. Sometimes they are friendly and sometimes they are not. Dining area has been clean the times we have stopped by. Prices are reasonable!"
"I had eaten breakfast here before. Great coffee and biscuits and gravy. I never ate lunch or dinner here. I went in on Friday evening around 7. A young, knowledgeable lady working the front greeted me. She reminded me they serve breakfast all day. It was hard not to order the biscuits and gravy. LOL. I ordered a gyro and a bag of chips to go. I was not disappointed. I was quite pleased with the taste, size, and appearance of my gyro. It was delicious Go try this, Gem. Not just for breakfast anymore. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed."
"Food is so tasty here.Always good. Grateful for the good service at the counter for ordering.I love to usetheir app to get rewards for getting free food."
"This is my new go-to for fro yo! I love the creamy tart, but honestly all the flavors I've tried have been great. They are not stingy with samples and encourage you to try them all, which is nice. I usually stop after two tho and get those. Sweet service too. I'm already a regular and I only discovered them a couple of weeks ago!"
"My new favorite go to nice cream spot! Everything was seriously delicious ! Some very unique flavors that are a must try like bacon bourbon and toffee coffee! The kids and I loved everything we tried! Excited to see more of this place this summer!"
"The onion rings had real onions in them, not minced. The burger was cooked in order, and both were served piping hot with terrific flavor.I will return when I am in the area again. Great food and ice-cold beer.I ordered the AZ cheeseburger with onion rings. The onion rings had real onions in them, not minced. The burger was cooked in order, and both were served piping hot with terrific flavor.Service was quick and friendly, and I observed they had outdoor seating and a second side to the restaurant. I said on the sports bar side. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing and very welcomingI will return when I am in the area again"
"Great variety of smoothie options. Friendly and fast employees. Pretty low key afternoon made the store relaxing for us first timers reading through the menu. We will definitely return!"
"What a super cute ice cream shop to take the kids to after a day at the park! Tons of ice cream options, milk shakes, mangonadas, and smoothies. Their food options are pretty simple, hot dogs, pizza, nachos and pretzels. My 2 year old loved their strawberry ice cream and playing in the little arcade. The servers were so kind and friendly as we looked around. They have a great selection of Mexican candies and tortillas too."

I tried a flight at this location, where you can sample six ice cream flavors for a small price. Most of the ice cream was decent, but didn't stand out to me. My favorite was their Cowboy Cookie, which includes salted caramel with oatmeal, walnuts & chocolate chip cookies. If I come back, I'll likely order a larger size of that flavor, but nothing else. Besides that, the service was good and the setting was too. It's a small space though, so don't plan on having a large party unless you're ordering out.

We had cookies and cream and the honey ice cream. I love the cookies and cream. My bf loved the honey. It wasn't amazing to sit and relax but I would get it to go any time. Yum!

This gelato shop is the real deal. I think probably one of the best real gelato shops in town. Their flavor selection is also meant makes them great. They've got the classics as well as unique flavor combinations and specials. You can also purchase gelato in a takeout size to store in your freezer. I love having that option! I love a classic gelato. The stracciatella is my favorite.

Great ice cream shop with a great variety of flavors ranging from traditional chocolate and vanilla to bacon bourbon and sweet cream honeycomb.Service is friendly and fast, and they kept the tables clean. There is a cute small outdoor seating area as well as seating inside. The ice cream was delicious - sweet but not sugary. The sweet cream honeycomb was amazing - bits of actual honeycomb against the ice cream was chef's kiss. The sweet Sonoran had bits of toffee, another great combination of smooth ice cream and crunchy. The peppermint has flecks of dark chocolate that paired well with the fresh peppermint.Perfect after a day of hiking and sun.

Came with friends for Mexican style desserts. Inside is clean but smelt overwhelmingly of sanitary chemicals. Menu is colorful with many interesting sweets and antojitos. I ordered the pina coolada and my friends ordered the dulce churro, strawberry raspado and tosti elite. My Pina coolada was more coconut and condensed milk in taste. The strawberry raspado was sickeningly sweet and syrupy. The dulce churro was also sweet but at least the churros were fresh and warm. Tosti elite was tasty however.

Wow, this place has gone downhill over the last year. Dumb kids working the counter, dirty tables, floors, and restrooms, and prices that far exceed inflation or supposedly higher food costs. $17 for two (med/sm) 'concretes' and fries. This young blonde girl couldn't muster up a greeting or thank you even though both were extended to her. She seems absolutely clueless. And, as a veteran, while I expect nothing for my service, it just feels wrong to offer a veteran discount on only one day of the week, especially since Freddy's pictures are plastered all over the store showing his supposed military service. Perhaps that's just a marketing ploy. Either way, I'm done giving this place the chance to improve. Corporate greed has taken over.

"Been here a handful of times and pretty much get the usual things which were the Strawberries n Creme, Banana Split, and any one of the Agua Fresca's.This time around we got Chopped Fresh Fruit, Sinful Fruit Salad Escamocha, and Carne Asada Fries. The Chopped Fresh Fruit($9.99) you have your choice of four fresh fruits for them to chop and put together in a container. We chose cucumbers, melon(cantaloupe), pineapple, and strawberries. The melons weren't really ripe and it was not as soft as should be. All the other fruits were just right. The Sinful Fruit Salad Escamoca($12.99 for the 32 oz) has mango, melon, strawberry, banana, sweet cream, granola, sweet coconut flakes. Now this is even better than the Strawberries n Cream! You have other ingredients other than the strawberries! I mean, who doesn't want more? The Carne Asada Fries(11.99) was not good. The carne asada itself was very salty. The cheese or lack there of was a fail. Definitely not ordering this again.Service was decent. You order at the counter and then they call out your order to pick up.In closing, I would say stick to the desserts here. Based on the asada fries, I sadly assume that the burger and hot dog they serve is not good either. Also for some reason, they have the heat on high here. It gets pretty hot in there. It was a nice day outside and was not cold at all. Yelp 2023 Review #18911 overall"
"I've been to many Rita's (mostly in GA and Long Island NY) I've always enjoyed my visits. This one was no different. The gentlemen behind the counter were very pleasant and put up with all of my "can I taste that one" without nothing less than a "of course" and a smile. I ended up getting a large mango/orange/mango ice. It was delicious and refreshing (I forgot to take a pic but it was piled high) and my friend got a cotton candy misto or blended I think and she enjoyed it. The sitting area was nice and clean. The bathroom was also. They even have a walk up window if you didn't want to go inside. This was another great Rita's experience in the books!"
"What went well? Everything! This is the definition of great food and fantastic service. The gentleman named "Blaze" got me my meal quickly and it was delicious! Nice juicy steakburger and hot fries. Blaze and Ron work together and it's like fine art. Why go anywhere else? Kelly has this store moving like a fine tuned machine."
"This is a brand-new place in Apache Junction but locals will recognize that they used to be in Gold Canyon (that place is still there but now serves ice cream only). This new location is tucked way back in a tired old mall that's frankly not very inviting. That is until you get inside Oldie's. Surprise! The decor is legit 1950's with a tasteful touch of authentic background music. I stopped in one hot July afternoon (alongside a fairly decent size crowd of Oldie's devotees and was greeted by Tyler, perhaps the most knowledgeable fast-food employee I've ever met. And genuinely friendly as well. He led me through their entire menu, making everything sound mouthwatering- especially the banana split, served in a real glass dish, which he appears to be the king of the universe at making. (PS - he just might be).I've been around for a while and have a pretty good idea what a good milkshake or other ice cream treat should cost and Oldie's is ridiculous, I mean ridiculous low compared to other custom ice cream shoppes. And according to Tyler, you make the decisions, not a list of 31 or whatever predetermined flavors. So go ahead and get that chocolate/blueberry/pistachio shake if your heart desires, choose from any of their flavors (which you can sample). No worries. But my real quest this venture was to find another local choice for getting my sub sammie fix. For the size of our town we actually have several good independent (non-chain) sub shops. I like some better than others but I don't love any of them, but I'm spoiled - I've had subs at some of the greatest little hole-in-the-walls in America. And as an aside, can anybody tell me why every sub shop in AJ is hidden in the corner of some mall where it is almost impossible to find?During my informal "interview" Tyler he convinced me that they were different. For starters they let you build your own right before your eyes, not hidden behind some 8' high counter or in some back room. He even explained the importance of the way they slice the fresh-baked bun and how they layer the meat in it. And toppings? Forget extra charges on an already stratospherically prices sub like some places, Just like with the ice cream it's YOUR sub so they'll put on it what YOU want. If hungry I've been known to demolish an entire 12" sub from other sub shops for dinner, not so here, 6"down my throat was all I could handle, the other half went in the fridge for lunch the next day.The last thing that makes Odie's a standout is not only are the ice cream treats budget friendly, the subs are ... okay I'll say it ... cheap! Like you go HUH when they ring up your bill.I mention my first contact because he's the one I met when I dropped in and he's the one who convinced me to become a customer. But while I was there I looked around and everyone behind the counter was upbeat and super-friendly. AJ is known for goldmines, including that famous lost one that everyone's looking for. Well I just found a locally owned sandwich and ice cream shop that's a real treasure and once the snowbirds come back this place is going to be a goldmine."
"Yep, this clean and modern paleteria offers up some great refreshing treats! I've been here several times and each time the employees were super nice and carefully crafted expert raspados.I'm a strawberry pineapple guy so that's my typical choice. (Vanilla ice cream is mandatory as well as the dollop of sweetened condensed milk. Yum!)Their Vanilla ice cream is very creamy and it resembles the homemade ice cream I used to eat back in the day.All in all this is a must do in Tucson."
"Amazing customer service, speak Spanish/English, great portions, tasty ice cream, fair price, friendly service, nice selection. I love the whole thing around. There is seating inside and outside. It's family friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend. My favorite was the Gansito ice cream flavor, yum!"
"Very very good turkey sandwich on warm bread with melted havarti cheese. Fruit and apple slaw sides. Almost more than I can eat. Let's support this fresh and clean neighborhood place."
"Located right in front of the Residents Inn, open long hours and a huge menu of juices, smoothies and proteins.$8 for a 32oz is great value as the chain juice places charge that for 24oz. Made fast, all fruit and veg, great selection of proteins like raw almonds, flax, oat milk, powders and more. What a refreshing choice."
"I've had a picture of their popsicles on my phone ever since Yelp featured them a coupleMonths ago. I am so excited I finally had a chance to go. The daughter and I had poured over their website in advance, trying to decide what we wanted. Their website is great - everything is clearly listed and has pictures. You can even order on line now if you want to limit time inside. We ordered a chocolate popsicle and a ciurela raspada. The popsicle is chocolate ice cream covered in dark chocolate coated with nuts. Really rich chocolate flavor without being heavy. The ciurela was delicious. A little sweet but not sickly so. Plus they put like 6 pieces of the fruit in the drink, which was nice.Incredible service. Will be back to try more items"
"If you are going to Goldfield Ghosttown and get hungry, definitely try the Grill. Way better food and service than The Mammoth. Plus it's right next to the ice cream shop!"
"I love this spot....especially bc it's close to my house. It's a small dessert boba spot and wverytime I go there is this super sweet pregnant lady behind the counter rocking and rolling. My favorite usual is a mango taro smoothie with extra boba. It tastes just like fruit loops. It's so good. Now they will tell you that custom shakes are non refundable so mix and match at your own risk. Buuuut the mango taro is MY fave. I can't remember if they sell hot drinks...I don't recall. They have ice cream...it might actually yogurt...I haven't partaken in that yet. I tried the passion fruit Panna cotta for the first time and it was good. I love passion fruit and custard desserts even though the texture isn't my favorite. The Panna cotta was good to me. And they even gave me a free passion fruit yogurt to try....that's my breakfast today. I added in some granola and demolished it. So good. The Dessert Queen is my go to for boba. The service is always kind, quick, and welcoming. The store is always clean and they have games and stuff to encourage people to hang out. It's a really cute spot. Check them out!!!"
"This is now my favorite water and ice cream store. I have been meaning to write a review for a while I came here a 2 months ago because I got a flyer in the mail for free scoop of ice cream. I had no idea it was also a water store, originally. Its fairly new but definetly could miss it if you aren't looking for it. It is nestled right between the pizza place and wings factory in the Safeway Plaza. I love that they sell Thrifyy ice cream (even by the gallon) you really can't go wrong with that! I used to get Sparklettes delivered to my house about 20 gallons for $29/bucks a month. Since finding out about this store I now pay .25/gallon for the same type of water. He does offer mineralized water at a little bit higher price but I like the purified water. The owner and his family are very nice people and their store is always clean. It is close to my house and there is always plenty of parking."
"This is a good option to other burger places, food is prepared to order, came out to the table quickly, restaurant was clean. Overall, a good experience."
"This place is family friendly to the Max! There are colorful lights in the floor, colorful tables and chairs, games and toys, and like any good froyo place--plenty of toppings! The pineapple flavor was fresh and maybe tastes like Dole whip (I've never had it). I mixed it with the strawberry which tasted just like a strawberry milkshake. Naturally you have to sample all the flavors though! The cake batter flavor was overly synthesized so just skip that one. The horchata was amazing! Horchata is typically a rice milk drink with sugar and cinnamon and that is what this froyo flavor resembled. Let's talk toppings: plenty of fresh fruit, nuts, candy, and sauces, But the real winner is the strawberry popping jelly bobas. The owner is friendly and sometimes throws in a complimentary bag of chips."
"Given Biden's inflation, I have resorted to doing my best in buying the ingredients for the Tostitos snacks I so enjoy to eat and prepare this snack at home myself. Sadly, the taste has never compared to the taste I receive when I buy this snack from here. I will continue to buy this snack from here as it always leaves me with great satisfaction. I am happy they have this location too, so I don't have to drive further to the original location. Appreciate being met with hospitality."
"This is a small sweets store nestled in a strip mall.I was engulfed in a sweet aroma when I walked in Thursday morning.I ordered rolled ice cream in vanilla base with Strawberries and banana, topped with whipped cream and a sprinkling of Kit Kat shavings. What a treat!Watching it be made is part of the fun.My server was very friendly and helpful.I sat outside on the lone table to eat my treat.Thursdays is BoGO free raspados, 24 oz"
"This review is based purely on the food. Sure the raspados are good, but that's a given IMO for a raspados shop. The true gem are the tortas ahogadas. A decadent sandwich made up of a bolillo sliced in half, grilled, with cheese, avocado, tomato, and lettuce; then sandwiched together with your choice of meat(jamon, pierna, barbacoa, etc) in between. Then it's drowned(hence the name) in a delicious chili sauce. This is a shining example of how much flavor something so simple can pack. From the caramelized cheese, to the deep flavor of the meats, you can really tell they care about their food. I love going to this place, and the fact the people working there are extremely nice makes it that much better."
"They do what they do and they do it well! They've expanded their snack and treat menu and I can't wait to try as many as I can. I'm in it for the candy! It's all about the spicy goozh! The spicy mangos are the second best."
"Stopped in to try the ice cream after hearing many compliments. Upon first entering, it seemed very clean and bright. They have a variety of ice cream flavors. Some of the regular typical flavors you'd expect and other fun, unique flavors that rotate (like avocado, corn, pico de gallo). They have a multitude of other treats (savory and sweet) and beverages as well (coffee, fruit juices, horchata, etc). The woman behind the counter was very pleasant and quick to assist us. She gladly offered samples for the ice cream to help in the decision making. I ordered 1 scoop of the caramel and 1 scoop of the chocolate. The ice cream can be served in a cone or a cup/bowl. They were so tasty and rich with the perfect amount of sweetness! A wonderful end to a busy Monday."
"Okay so this place gets better and better! They make POP TARTS!! Today was raspberry, mango and pistachio!! I couldn't have it (Celiac sux) but my friend Kris did and it looked amazing. She was over the moon and enjoyed every bite! Margaret was our server EXTRAORDINAIRE and rocked the service part of our visit. We sat on the patio which was perfect for a cool Arizona morning. I'm excited to come back again and again now.... I'm officially a proud HuB groupie, yall!"
