"Good selection and nice open atmosphere to enjoy your foods . A little bit of everything for everyone . They even have fun outdoor games to keep your kiddos busy . It's picnic style benches outside and make sure to stop by topo for dessert with a prickly pear soft serve !"
"I ate the Buck out of this place, it's so Bucking good!!! It's definitely my new Buck Buddy...love it!I'm of the belief that you can make anything into a burrito...it's my favorite food group. Love so many things about this spot...the location, the storefront, outdoor seating only, smoky bbq smells, the burritos are phenomenal, the people are super friendly, everything! I went with the brisket, egg and cheese burrito and added refried beans to it. Loved every bite and was sad when it was gone. But I'll hit this again....but I'll probably wait a few days so I don't seem desperate. On a scale of 1 to 10, I love this place!"

"The mesquite bbq sauce was outstanding. I ordered the 4 piece bbq. I got brisket, pulled pork, tritip and hot links with four sides. This is enough food for at least four meals. It came with 4 sides. Everyone was a home run. Perfectly cooked with a great Smokey flavor. I got onion rings as one of the sides and they were just like I like them. Great batter that didn't fall apart. I took the beans and Mac and cheese sides home with me.My friend got the catfish special and ate it all. Said it was one of the best catfish dish he ever had and it came with coleslaw and ff. He did mention that the ff were a little soggy but good. The person taking orders was friendly and very helpful. She explained the daily special and said it changed daily ( the daily specials are on their website ).We ate on their patio because their small dining room was full. Very nice patio. My friend said that the restroom was very clean and heated on this brisk day. I would highly recommend it for fans of Texas style mesquite bbq."
"We just had another GREAT Tucson steak dinner here! Mike was our server and was simply the best. NY strip was cooked to perfection They have horseradish in two separate intensities if that's your thing Be sure to order the mud pie!Note to manager. Please consider signage saying "Users of electronics MUST wear headphones to not distract other diners." There was a clueless family whose child was watching an iPad with sound on. Rude but can be managed with assertive action. Thanks!"
"I'm not gonna lie, this was the best burger of my life. Perfectly cooked to medium, tender seasoned patty. Soft buttered bun. Lettuce tomato red onion pickle. Thick lightly seasoned French fries. I couldn't finish it. Do they make their own ranch? What sorcery is this??? I see myself sneaking a bite at midnight."
"We ordered catering and they mixed the pork and chicken. It was not written on the container so no one knew what was what. We had Muslims who couldn't eat the food due to the chicken and pork in the same space of the container. We ordered vegetarian options as well but they put meat in the beans which was very disappointing."
"Want to satisfy your Hawaiian eats? Come check out Big Island Hawaiian! I got the BBQ chicken which came with steamed broccoli/cabbage and macaroni salad. All items were filling and delicious. The bbq chicken was so tender and juicy, was dry. I enjoyed my meal and will be coming back. Tables were clean. Staff was great!"
"I've eaten here a few times. The food is consistently prepared and consistently good. The wait staff is attentive and knowledgeable about their menu. It can be a little noisy, but after all, it's booze and BBQ, so it's not where you'd go for a quiet, intimate meal. I do not eat mac & cheese, but everyone with whom I've dined with who has had it raves about it. Note that the seats are not the most comfortable, so unless you are well distracted by the company you keep, you might find yourself squirming a bit to stay comfortable."
"We came here on a Saturday night at this place was hoping! You can smell the delicious BBQ from the parking lot and know you're in for something good! We previously had called to get reservations, but since we only had a party of 4, reservations were not an option. (They require a party size of 6 or more for a reservation.) They quoted us a 45 minute wait, but after about 20 minutes we got the text that our table was ready! We got seated in Dorian's section and he had the best recommendations creating a fantastic experience! We had the burnt ends and the baseball steak served with the hot stone! It was all so good! We will definitely be back the next time we are visiting parents in the Casa Grande area! Hope we end up in Dorian's section again, too! Cheers!"
"When you have to follow 3 "Open House" or "Yard Sale" type signs off the main road through a commercial building area to find a BBQ spot, you start wondering "What am I doing?? Where is this place?????" My Suggestion: Follow the effing signs!!! This place is so cool and fun! I love that it's tucked away off the road, the bright twinkling lights outside, the people working are super friendly and the BBQ is amazing! I got the Brisket Plate with Green Chili Cornbread, Nacho Mama's Mac 'n' Cheese and a Jalapeño Cheese Sausage....and a White Monster to wash it down! The brisket was juicy, had some burnt ends (my fav), good smoky flavor. They have 5 kinds of BBQ sauce to use (my fav was the Arizona Sweet Heat). The Green Chili Cornbread was moist and delicious...and the Jalapeño Cheddar sausage was good. On a scale of 1 to 10.....I'm gonna hit it again...and again..."

My bf and I stopped here for lunch and it was so tasty! We split a four meat sampler and ended up with leftovers. The ribs were smoky and tender. I had the chicken leg which was also yummy. Not usually a fan of dark meat, but the chicken leg left my taste buds happy. The potato salad was so good and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that it used red potatoes. Yum! The Mac n cheese was hot and cheesy. I loved eating the honey butter with the corn bread. The bbq sauces were also really good. The hot one is HOT! The house sauce was my favorite. I loved coming here during lunch since dinner is always busy. We were able to walk up and order and sit and eat without worrying about finding a table. The inside has lots of tables but obviously the food is so good that usually they're all full.

Jalapeño Buck's has been on my longtime bucket list! With their specific hours, I finally had an opportunity to give them a visit! They're closed on Sundays and Mondays and open from 10 AM - 6 PM or 7 PM the rest of the week. So unless you're in the area, not the most flexible hours. That being said, I decided to snag a late lunch bite from them this week. They're a BBQ Mexican fusion type joint. , featuring exclusively outdoor seating (no animals allowed), no restroom and walk up counter service. They have a fun shack like vibe with lots of cool signs, but overall limited amenities, but then again, you're going for the food! Or should be!The girl who took my order was very sweet. I knew ahead of time from perusing the menu and reviews that I was going to get the brisket, bean and cheese burrito - The cashier let me know it was a solid and popular choice. She ran me through all their salsa options: A spicy red, a verde type, a more like forward creamy green, a mango and a classic mild red. I did also get a side of guacamole, was pretty disappointed it was prepackaged and expected something made in house, but alas still nice they have it. The burrito was very good! Quite hefty, super smoky and tender brisket. I added pickled jalapeños, overall quite a delicious, but heavy and trick burrito. I loved all the salsas. Would probably opt for spicy red, creamy green and mango as personal favorites. I definitely am glad I made it there, would visit again, but with the limited hours, may not be there in the immediate future. I understand why people enjoy it so much and definitely want to try some of those burnt ends on my next visit!

A must stop! If you like real KC BBQ this is the place. Pit Master started at Haywards BBQ in KC when he was 16.A true taste of home. Had the wonderful brisket sandwich & fries that twice cooked like true BBQ places do.Unassuming place with relaxed atmosphere and wonderful staff.

Positives first: You walk into the restaurant smelling a wonderful smokey barbecue aroma. The staff is friendly and obliging. You are seated with alacrity. Water comes quickly, but it is tap water, not filtered at all. They will provide lemon to kill the taste. The ribs were fall-off- the-bone tender but definitely needed the sauce and the New York Steak was cooked as requested but had no flavor. If you ask for it, steak sauce is provided. The rolls are 2 in x 3 in and one per person with one foiled pat of butter. The dinner prices are pretty high for how miserly the sides are, but lunches are under $15. Although the web advertised surf n turf, it is not on the menu. All in all, go to the Texas Roadhouse for a selection of bread, better steaks and better dessert variety.

We stumbled on this restaurant, and we are very glad we did. GREAT service and even better food! Large servings. Reasonably priced. We asked for advice and two of the servers generously offered advice to meet our preferences. It's a bit cold in there, so bring a jacket. They started as a food truck, and the atmosphere still exists (good). Six excellent sauce selections and great meat selections including brisket, Tri Tip, sausage, pulled pork and more. Standard sides of coleslaw, potato salad, beans, etc. included. My first comment to my wife after we started eating was, "Someone in that kitchen knows what they are doing!"We live 15 miles away in NW Tucson, but we will go out of our way to come back to Holy Smokin Butts. They mentioned that they get pretty busy on Friday nights and weekends, so we'll call first.

I came in for a to go order for a family get together and Waldo's did not disappoint. Food was really good. I ordered brisket, coleslaw, beans, cornbread for six. Really enjoyed it but wish I had ordered more brisket. I wanted enough for six but my order seems a bit less than that. Brisket was tender, smoky and delish. Not sure if the person I ordered from understood my request. Either way it hit the spot and best part was good food, reasonable price, and only a few miles away from where I was staying during my vacation.

Being born and raised on the Big Island, my standards were really high. This place was a typical non-Hawaiian ran eatery that tried their best. The marinated meat lacked taste. The cashier was friendly and the food came out quick. If you never had authentic BBQ plate lunches from Bug Idland, then you probably will be satisfied.

Came for a work holiday lunch. The table was ready when we arrived which i appreciated a lot! Our waitress was nice for our party but the service was so slow. Express lunch was not express and I'm confused about why the express lunch isn't advertised on the menu. The music was very loud and we had to ask for them to turn it down. The overall price for the quantity of food was not it but the food was pretty good. I got express lunch with pulled pork, the sweet potato and green beans. They have a 4 piece BBQ sauce assortment to click from on the table too!

"Very good falling off the bone ribs. Just what I have been wanting. Half an order was plentiful. Sweet potato and veggies the best. Happy service. Lots of good food!Yum"
"This place is truly one of a kind. And it's Important to know what to expect before you go: writing all over the walls, like everywhere! License plates from across the country strung up on the ceiling. A casual and regulars heavy type of vibe. A gravel parking lot. An outdoor grill. Indoor and outdoor seating with live music offered in both settings. Delicious food, that's priced on the slightly higher end, in my opinion, but worth it. The first time I came here, we had a terrible experience. After ordering our food, the server came back and said they were all out of sirloins, which is what everyone in our party ordered. We left without eating anything and didn't return for about 5 or 6 years. We recently moved really close and decided to give it another shot as it always seems crowded. We've been a few times now and they've definitely made up for our initial bad impression. I typically go with the sirloin and it's been seasoned and cooked perfectly. It comes with a simple house salad and unlimited beans, garlic toast, and salsa. All is so yummy! Service has been friendly and accommodating. I know we will be back!"
"Finally checked out Fork and Fire and why have we not come here sooner?! Tried to award winning spicy margarita along with the app sampler! I had the pulled pork and David had the brisket- pro tip: add the coleslaw on your sandwich. We were stuffed so took the desserts to go- but a quick sample at home confirmed they are as good as they look!Staff were all super friendly and attentive. Overall a great place for lunch or dinner!"
"We come here a lot actually great everytime why we come back! Service is great fast and friendly and always kept clean. Usually we get a bunch of rolls sake and beer and just dig in. My favorites usually I get "Got 1, Got 2, or tempera" so good. Recommend, until next time!"
"This little spot my husband introduced me to. I love getting breakfast burritos, especially the beef brisket. I've ordered ribs earlier in the week for Friday pick up for VIP company. I enjoy their sides of mashed potatoes and green beans. It a guilty pleasure for sure. The dinning area is tables and chairs with a modest restroom available. I get choice of bbq sauces green, sweet and spicy with my orders. All are tasty!"
"We headed here a couple of hours before the main dinner hour, to enjoy a beer on a sunny Sunday, but couldn't resist digging in for a big meal. Creating a flight of bbq sauce really made my day, and it was nice to be asked about what chicken parts I preferred. Such a fun place to watch the bbq pit in action, nosh the delicious goods (including that famous crack pie), and enjoy live music on the spacious, comfy patio -- a relaxing vibe all the way, with friendly service and great food."
"Have been curious about this spot. You fill your bowl with so many food options on a buffet. Add meat, seafood, noodles, vegetables & sauces. Then give to the cook who will stir fry everything for you. You get bread & soup as well. A variety of drinks are available. You stir fry is delivered to your table. Everything is so filling so I suggest ya go on an empty tummy to enjoy a feast."
"Perfect for a carnivore like me who is married to someone who isn't as devoted to eating meat. You can order as much or little of the meats and sides as you want. While they may suggest half-pound portions, they don't bat an eye at my wife's quarter-pound orders. Prices are great, and even better with the 10% veteran discount (or 20% on, I think, Mondays).Sure, I've had better brisket at places like Leon's World's Finest Barbeque in Galveston. But it's fine here too.Parking is ample, and there are many spaces dedicated to disabled patrons and for order pick-up.Special shout-out to new (I think) cashier Kassandra who thought to ask if we were new to Rudy's. And who kindly offered a free sample of the green chile stew when I asked what meat was in it (it's brisket). That's how you do it!"
"I stopped to pick up a meal.. the meal comes with a choice of sides and pickles. I got the chopped pork sandwich with a side of coleslaw. You have a choice of several different sides like fries, broccoli and a few others. I tried to see the menu online but you only see it when you start an order which is too bad. Anyway the pork was more shredded than chopped like the picture but that was good for me. It came with 2 types of barbecue sauce packets but there is already their rich and sassy sauce on it. I did add more sauce though. Meat was pretty tender but a bit dry. Extra sauce was appreciated. Pickle slices were spicy and good. Coleslaw was good. Overall was good but nothing special."
"There is a problem when the bread is the best part of your dinner at a steakhouse. I ordered for pick up and many things were wrong. The caesar salad did not come with dressing or croutons. The mashed potatoes were bland when they used to come with butter and flavor. The steak was medium-well instead of medium. The bread was the best part which is unfortunate because I used to love going to LongHorn Steakhouse. I hope this is a one off bad experience."
"Excellent BBQ, best I've had since the mid-west. Small family run restaurant with friendly service and large portions. It's a bit of a trek from Chandler but worth the trip. Good (if basic) seating indoors and out."
"Food was delicious - meat tender -tasty -will be coming back Carne Asada was awesome - will be trying chicken"
"Don't let the size of the outside turn you away. This spot has a grill master who takes great pride in the BBQ he makes. It's incredibly flavorful and definitely a staple location for a town that desperately needs places like this for its culinary identity. Service is always met with a smile and they provide discount for military on Saturdays."
"I came here with my son who goes to U of AZ for a late lunch.....So much fun. The atmosphere kept getting more and more festive and it does turn into a bar scene at night. This is awesome. The food was decent. I liked the Mac n Cheese and my son says he eats here like 2x a week. Absolutely love that there are TV's everywhere. I can only imagine how much fun this place is on game days. Our server was very sweet and the bartender on duty was amazing and attentive. The bathroom was clean ( kinda shocked seeing that bc it's a college place. lol) and our experience was fun and I'd do it again. Bravo to the Pig."
"Just hit up this new BBQ joint, and wow, I'm so glad I did! First off, the lunch special is an absolute steal--$10 for a drink, sandwich, and a side? Yes, please! I went with the brisket sandwich and mac and cheese, and both were fantastic. The brisket was perfectly cooked--juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The sandwich was loaded, and I mean loaded, with brisket. It's rare to find such a generous portion at this price point. The mac and cheese was thick and cheesy, exactly how it should be.Now, let's talk about the sauces. Their citrus ginger BBQ sauce is a game-changer--subtle yet flavorful, and not overpowering at all. I also tried their hot BBQ sauce, which had just the right amount of kick, balanced beautifully with that classic BBQ tanginess.I've had BBQ everywhere from local favorites here to BBQ central in Texas, and this is that good! The food was so good that I stopped halfway through to snap a pic and write this review--that's how impressed I was.On top of all that, the gal who helped us was so extremely kind and generous. Seriously, if you love BBQ, you need to check this place out. I'm really hoping they get lines out the door because a place this good deserves to stick around.Highly recommended and I'll definitely be back!"
"Our first visit was on an 'Endless Fish Friday' night and we had a great time. Sheri was entertaining, the fish was excellent, crisp, HOT and very tasty, the fries are thick, hot and very good-with personable service. The salads are just basic House salads. Nothing fancy, but are fresh and crisp. I just wish they'd serve them in fluted bowls, as the small ones they use now tend to put salad on the table once you stick your fork in it.SInce it was an overall excellent experience, we made a dinner date for the following week with the same excellent experience with the Lumpia, pulled pork sandwiches-very good to excellent. On our 3rd visit, we went with another couple in tow. The service was lacking. The personable young man waiting on us, kept us waiting (see what I did there?), wandering past our table several times without checking in on us, even with empty cups and plates placed out in front like a placard requesting service. However, even the best places and people have their off times and moments. If the service lacks in similar manner again, I'll address it directly with the waiter, but we were also busy having fun, so nothing tragic, plus the food was still excellent. Here's a newsflash people: HS-BBQ isn't in the NY Times 5-star dining guide for AZ. As another reviewer aptly stated: this isn't the kind of BBQ place one tends to think of when they hear BBQ. This should be obvious to anyone driving past the place, or at least once they walk through the front door-even if they're not from Texas. It's a local, casual, come-as-you-are, eclectic family restaurant that serves very good to excellent food and at very reasonable prices. There are no pretensions here, unless you bring them with you. Forget the reviews of the apparently 'exhausted snob', the rambling, nearly illiterate 'expert waitress' and those reviews that have the depth of of "The food wasn't good", "service was bad" or "the eggs were terrible." This is how a 1st grader would describe their experience. What does "terrible" even mean to you? What if you like your eggs runny and they had the audacity to actually cook them? The word of the day here is: "context". Forgive the Chuckleheads saying things like "These people will be gone like every other person who owned the building the past 10 years". Chuck has apparently never learned to count beyond the fingers of one hand; HS-BBQ has been at this location going on 7 years, genius. Then, there's the Texan food critic. A man with the exacting expectations of a high profile Texas BBQ judge, a true Texan that expects competition level standards at any restaurant with any BBQ offering.Yet is suspiciously also an expert naming KFC/commercial BBQ sauce by taste alone. At least he was descriptive."
