"There are independent shops all over Tucson, but nowhere is quite as cozy as Old Town Artisans. With history dating back to the 19th century, Old Town further evolved into a quaint marketplace where different vendors- each with their own physical shop, operate under this big space with nice prices. My kid and I weaved in and out of the shops and even one or two eateries. There's a record shop, souvenirs, handmade Tucson products, ceramics, Native items and more. There's even a courtyard where you can lounge a bit and listen to live music. While my kid and I didn't spend too much time in each shop, Old Town A's ambiance is warm and inviting and were greeted by friendly owners eager to share the history about each of their wares."
"A very unique art gallery, very different from the rest galleries near Tucson, AZ. The installations are welcoming and the environment is modern industrial. The gallery focus on modern and contemporary fine art as well as Photography. Featuring unique paintings, prints, sculpture and other works by international artists.Every artist has their story and you learn about them as you go. I recently purchased a Lithography from Gabriel Macotela; a Mexican artist known for his cubism and modernism art work. I LOVE IT!Go for a walk and enjoy all the art they have at ARTe Gallery, you'll fall in love easily with everything, it's very exquisite for all tastes. And it's next to a gift shop and around some really nice restaurants. They also have different price range for almost every budget plus they have a great service!"
"We talked with the Zimmerman's at length about his acrylic paintings. Nice fellow along with his wife. It was an intimate gallery with other artist works as well. He focused on abstract acrylics."
"This is the one woman's clothing where we always find something cute. And again , we found two Tops. Winner!"
"Every artsy town need a place to display the local talent. The Tubac Center of the Arts does that and more. Once or twice a year they host a members show where any member can submit their craft for show and sale. I've personally had displayed my Indian Bead Weaving hatbands and table rugs. I craft or talent I'd developed when I was a resident of Tubac. But you don't have to live here to be a member. There are members across the country. But residents and members get to see all the openingsThe center also hosts art shows from all over the country. And some from Mexico as well. They sponsor a summer art program for children. They have live musical performances during the season ( October to April). An integral part of the community I can't remember all the other events they are credited for. I suggest you visit their website for full details. And if you are ever in this area stop by. You'll find lots of local art in the gift shop"
"This is one more cute shop among many. Mainly you go in and out of the stores. But they gave unique pottery and glass. Special things for the kitchen and art cards. Very nice Ambiance. Carlos Nakai flute music in the background. Special shop."
"We Frame It does excellent work! I brought in a trophy that already looked pretty nice. I asked to have it mounted, and since it's a yearly contest, add plates for the yearly winner. It really looks great now and it's a fun way to celebrate the winner of our fantasy football league. The trophy was ready in about a week and communication with staff was great."
"This is your chance to see pompous artists in their subsidized studios, selling their overpriced junk, er art. In all, it's a fun event when you go from place to place w/paint smeared on your new jeans."
"A husband and wife team runs the show. In the front you'll find a boutique filled with blown glass creations at prices ranging from the affordable (under $100) to the fabulous ($3k+). Much of their inventory is sourced from their on-site studio.Gain access to the studio and you can bask in an orange glow emanating from their 3k degree furnace, which holds molten glass waiting to be spun and blown into wild creations. I was fortunate enough to take a fantastic 3 hour class introductory class here. They put me to work spinning paperweights, blowing Christmas ornaments, and having myself a grand old time.If you're a fan of artisanal glass check out their shop and if you've got the urge to spin, cut, and twist the stuff sign up for one of their classes!"
"This is a wonderful gallery, that specializes in 19th and 20th Century fine art. Fine art includes those works that are primarily for aesthetic reason (art for art's sake) rather then for commercial of functional use. Designed for it's uplifting, life-enhancing qualities, fine art typically denotes the traditional, Western European 'high arts' such as drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture.....in case you had any questions about what defines 'fine art'.The owner is extremely knowledgeable, completely honest and straight to the point. The gallery has a lovely selection of paintings, drawings, fine prints to name a few. The Gallery is also able to consign artwork based on the value and the market for it. The owner works with Christie's Auction House, and Sotherby's to name a few. I would suggest calling to make an appointment, as opposed to dropping in. When I called to inquiry about the value and possible consignment of an oil painting, he was accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable. Granted I did some extensive research prior to contacting the gallery so I had an idea of the paintings value prior to my visit. Covington Gallery is not Antiques Road Show were you bring in weekly yard sale finds for a big payout."The emphasis of the Gallery is on works by listed European artists and American artists and art of the West, Southwest, California, regionalism, New England, Hudson River School, Midwestern, the South, upper-Midwest and the Northwest. The Gallery also is skilled at Fine Art Appraisals and has an Accredited Appraiser qualified to do Insurance, Estate, Donation and Fair Market Value Art Appraisals." -Covington Gallery Website"
"My daughter attended lessons here for years. Linda is an amazing instructor and mentor. She has so much talent and does a great job of advancing her students' skill sets and their love of creating art. Her work is beautiful and diverse."

If you find yourself in Tucson , I would highly recommend them especially if you love artistic and unique old stuff . Its a collection of different rooms which are shops and each room offers unique items from specialty vendors, and regions around the world , especially the southwestern US, Latin America and Mexico. Browse through a large collection of local and regional art, jewelry, Navajo rugs, clothing, ceramics and metalwork. When you do get tired there are restaurents and live music in the open space which offers a nice relaxed afternoon experience .

This store is unique, lively in its decor and fun just to go in and browse. I've been coming here for sometime and if you can't find an item let the wonderful staff assist you! Plus... it's the only place locally to carry the great ceramicist Alan Potter!

This is a fantastic place to learn more about the local art community and see some great works of art on display. When we were there last weekend they were showcasing pieces from art students at high schools across the state. Those kids are so talented! It was a very special exhibit and just another example of how committed this place is to promoting local artists.

This is a very well-curated shop with something for everyone at approachable prices. (While my budget right now is such that I shouldn't have approached the $89 price tag on the shirt I bought there, it's a classic that I know I will wear for years.) The two women who were minding the store when I was there were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I'll definitely make this a stop every time I'm in Bisbee.

"This wonderful adobe gallery is now closed. It is a 7000 sq ft Adobe home built in the 1700 s. It is for sale at 298,000. You just look at it a wonder how you could make it a home. Tubac is a wonderful artist colony about 40 miles south of Tucson. Great place to spend the day. I was there today."
"Stopped in for a tasting on our way out of Sonoita. Marilyn was a wonderful hostess! All five wines we sampled were superb (which is a rarity, for me personally) and we ended up buying two bottles. The Harvest Moon and Cabernet Sauvignon wines are excellent. Super convenient location, right down the road from Dos Cabezas (like 30 seconds down the road)! Loved the atmosphere, very chill and laid back and they had an adorable house pup as well. A must-stop on your Sonoita wine tour! Thank you Sunset Ride!"
"Whether day or night, I love this place. Recently had Nick & Steven for my bartenders. They are amazing. Nick took the time to hear what I like and picked a beer on tap that would fulfill my cravings. Love coming here on Friday & Saturday nights. Everyone is relaxed and ready to have a good time. Bouncers make sure there are no shenanigans and one of them is real easy on the eyes Just learned that there are some community events here. So I'll be coming through more often."
"We have returned for our next craft mosaic. A Stepping stone. This step two will be the grouting phase. It comes out really nice."
"We were in a bind this morning. We were visiting Tucson and we got two flat tires on our son's special needs stroller. Coasters was near our hotel so I stopped by this morning. The owner was super helpful and got us rolling in thirty minutes. Pretty solid dude and we had a fun conversation. Thanks for the help today. It meant a lot!"
"Everything I have bought from them has been amazing! I've bought a few pairs of slippers and grocery bag dispensers and even a tote bag for when I grocery shop at Sprouts so I don't have to buy a plastic bag when I'm there and I'm definitely buying more from them! Not only is everything expertly made by hand but it is durable (and the slippers are so comfortable) but the prices are so low!!! So you don't have to sacrifice quality for price! It's a win-win if you ask me! One order for an alpaca beanie did come a week 1/2 late but I was ok with it because Jessica, (the woman who does the crocheting), kept me informed the entire time and I even got a surprise free alpaca beanie in my package just for the inconvenience so it was like buy one get one free just for the extra wait! So it was worth it to be late. So still giving Dark30 Arts 5 stars despite one order being a little behind schedule because it was better for me in the end!!!"
"Beautiful and deep collection of modern SW paintings and classic Native American jewelry, Of special note is their Patania Family jewelry from Tucson. Exquisite."
"We wanted a two seat Mexican Bench with a little table separating us. For the front patio. Here we found a few and if we wanted to wait we could order the exact colors of the tiles on the table. So we made the order and I picked it up today. Came out nice."
"A giant four foot tall fly sculpture made of found objects beckons you to enter this husband (Poe) and wife (Sam) gallery. Poe is super friendly and intensely creative. He makes whimsical, whacky sculptures out of found recycled objects. I was fascinated to say the least. He made a water sculpture that just mesmerized me. I don't need, but must have one of his clocks, which were made from fireworks. My brain just doesn't work that way, but he is a creative genius. I am a bit of an entomologist fanatic and his fly by night series is crazy cool. Shirts, paintings, and hand painted scarves featuring flys. Houseflies. It is something you just have to see. His wife is a painter and uses vibrant colors to capture the mountains. Half the gallery was featuring the work of another artist. I think they are always doing something new. It was by far my favorite gallery in Bisbee."
"I love this place small and packs in a good crowd and usually a show that you will or cannot see somewhere else. This is a sensational gallery for local artist to sell and show their work. The creative spirit is here and the variety of the work on display is I dare say hip, to smart, to chic, to cheeky, and a little daring. Check it out, it is the back of Ozma. Every 1st of the month during season there is a new show."
"Small store and not a very big selection. The owner is not the most accommodating person either. However, there are quite a few really unique items that you won't find anywhere else. If you're looking for gifts for your out of state friends and want something with some southwest style, you may get lucky and find something here worth gifting. But if you are looking for quality home decor at an affordable price, you should try somewhere like Tres Amigos in Tucson. Their prices are better and they have a bigger selection."
"Beautiful spring day on " Good Friday" celebrating the joy of family and friends transitioned in the de Grazia Yaqui styled Adobe chapel! A sanctuary like no other on west side of the museum filled with de Grazia art and unique style. He studied in mexico with diego Rivera . A prolific and commercial artist was enjoyed by my parents . A special spot to experience . Many have never visited yet the winter visitors are in the museum ."
"I have had Tubac Territory Furniture do two kitchens for me in mesquite. The wood is beautiful but the process is like giving birth--long and extremely painful. Buy finished furniture you can see. Go elsewhere for custom cabinets."
"As far as premium contemporary art goes this is the end all and be all. All the shows are well thought out and the work is of the highest quality. The prices vary greatly depending on size, artist, and detail of the work. If you are looking to procure modern art you do not need to go to New York or L.A., you can do it right here."
"This is a hidden gem of place - get it? I would never have known about this shop unless I knew ahead of time that this dirt driveway had a unique curio shop at the end. If you are looking for a specific rock, gem, fossil, or rusty hiking relic then you will find it here. The owner is full of knowledge and even if you don't buy anything stop by and say hi because you will meet a unique fellow running this place."
"Goldstein Creations focus on items made of petrified wood table tops. Their tables are massive in size with a nice sheen. Mostly table tops and a desk. A few pieces of decor. Staff were very welcoming. Street and shared lot parking."
"I love this place. All employees are helpful and friendly. They will make sure your 100% happy."
"Truth be told, we ended up here only because we were waiting for the Georgia O'Keeffe tour to start and honestly, it was a true highlight. The gallery is free and the art was amazing. It was largely Ansel Adams but they had quite a few of his rarer workers. I left feeling a bit surprised that I got to see all of that for free. It's definitely worth checking out."
"Walking into this amazing little shop is like walking into a time capsule. Beautiful warm wooden pieces with a midcentury modern feel. Filled to the brim with unique pieces to love. From vintage lamps, art work, large furniture pieces, cool antique chairs, I even saw a wicker rocking horse! The vintage pieces are in nearly immaculate condition but the owner will point out any flaws or love marks on these items. As of January 2023 they do offer delivery in town as well for an additional $60-65 depending on if it is a one or two person job.The more you know: follow their instagram @sunshineshoptucson they post new items weekly for your viewing pleasure."
"After months of deciding exactly what to do with our front patio, and extensive research regarding our decision to install a one-of-a-kind Cactus Sculpture, we decided with Stone Cactus Gallery in Tucson! Their assortment of quality, design and artistic cactus, as well as their amicable and personable knowledge of the subject and their assistance made the process a terrific experience. Not only were they quicker to deliver and install than anticipated, but their installation was professional as you can see in my pics. We are extremely happy with this front yard artwork and look forward to finishing our front landscape around our unique waterfall and LED lit 6' tall 5 arm Saguaro Cactus... night pics to follow! Highly recommended for the service, price and art work... Kudos to Dave and Jericho... keep it up."
"A wonderful shop in southern Arizona. Stocked with jewelry, clothes And artisanal goods. There's no doubt you'd find. Special items At this little gallery."
"I have been going over here for years, and the artwork varies from the mundane to the spectacular. This is one of the reasons I really like it, you never know what your going to find, it is a great vehicle for new artist to show their work. They always seem like family in their support of the artist showing work, and the work is multicultural as well. It's worth a peek in and 1st Saturdays is a great time to go."
"If you're looking for some interesting one of a kind gifts or something for yourself this is a good place to start. Located in downtown Tucson area there are so many unique pieces of Art work here. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. There is also a cool restaurant in the complex."
