Recently I have visited every Elks lodge in the entire southern Arizona area. I can say that the Green Valley Elks #2592 is the nicest, most friendliest Elks lodge I've ever been to. Bent Mahaffy the Exhalted Ruler gave us the grand tour, once we got to the lounge the Exhalted Ruler comped our first round of drinks. The dining room was clean and well lighted, the 11th Hour Lounge was amazing, it has lots of seating and well stocked to support any cocktail pallet. To even make a major plus for this Elks lodge was the full service/menu dining. The food was excellent, Don was bartending and he was extremely professional and made it incredibly fun. So bottom line, if your looking for a fun place to meet great people and eat some really good food and drinks then this lodge is for you. Did I mention they had a great band that evening and they have live music every Friday and Saturday evenings.

We had a great meal tonight with my parents. The wine is very reasonably priced. The shrimp scampi and clams were delicious. The service was very attentive. The live band and dancing in the next room added to the fun. We'll be back!

My wife and I have visited nearly 400 Elks lodges, and Green Valley was the most unpleasant of them all. Absolute rock bottom. We called the lodge shortly after leaving San Diego, asking them if they would be open on that particular Friday night. We were told that they would be, and we drove more than 400 miles to get there. At 10 PM, just as the band was packing up and leaving, we arrived. There were still a number of folks at the bar. As we walked across the deserted dance floor toward the bar, the Exalted Ruler met us halfway and informed my wife and I that we were not welcome because there was a formal party going on. It was obvious that the party was over, but this did not matter to the ER. When we told the person that we had just driven 400 miles to get there, he only reiterated that we had to leave. We told this story the next day at several other Lodges in the area, and people said that such rudeness was to be expected at Green Valley Lodge. Needless to say, we will NEVER return.
