We needed a special cartridge for our brand new shower valve that failed. It's called a mixing valve to adjust the temperature. So we need a replacement. I found one here for 1/2 the factory price. Lucky. This was a job hold up problem to solve.

Bonnets Stems is a total hidden gem/diamond in the rough. The water pressure in our powder bath dropped suddenly. All parts were one year old so we were confused about what the issue could be. We called the plumber who did the install and he attempted to diagnose the problem, noting that is was likely a valve issue. None of the big box places were of any help, we ended up at Bonnets on the recommendation of one of my husbands co-workers. As others have noted, don't be deterred by the shabby store. They were able to not only find us the part we needed but they knew exactly why it failed. These are the types of stores that need more attention from locals. They fly under the radar. I will recommend Bonnets to friends and family anytime, and of course, as always, sharing a Yelp review further helps to spread the word about great local businesses like this!

If I could give this place a negative 5 star review I would! Absolute worst service. I made a call with some questions for a shower handle replacement I was looking for and the girl that I spoke to wasn't friendly and was actually quite condescending. I figured maybe there was a miscommunication over the phone as to what I was inquiring so I decided to stop by the store to see if maybe they could help me in person instead. When I walked in they asked me to put a MASK on due to "nasty plumbing stuff flowing around" I decided I'd take my chances with "fumes" and such, so I didn't put the mask on and the two girls at the counter jumped down my throat and asked me to step outside. Seriously! It's 2024 COVID is over. I just can't understand how people can STILL be this brainless. Take your business elsewhere :)

What an incredible delight and successful this experience was. We needed to repair a leaking water compression valve that was likely 40 years old. I phoned 2-3 "big name" places who were all stumped, even after I texted pictures to them. I then embarked on a 2 hour journey, stopping at big-box stores and speciality plumber supply stores that were subsequently recommended by those previous stores. None could solve the leak problem surrounding this old faucet that controlled all incoming water from the street to the house.The last place (Plumbers Supply Inc), to their credit, suggested I try Bonnets and Stems. Say what?Don't let this place fool you... while the storefront is decades old and small, therein lies ancient wisdom by the name of Bruce Nivens. He's old school ethical, he's a conversationalist. Indulge him. Upon handing him the "bonnet and stem" that I brought, he immediately diagnosed it and embarked on the solution that he'd forecasted. Barely 15 minutes later he returned with the correct replacement gasket and the stem polished to its natural copper beauty (it was black!). What some stores were warning would be a 3-4 hour replacement of pipe and valve ($$) Bruce was able to totally fix in a fraction of the time and money. He then proceeded to only charge me for the gaskets. I smiled and just couldn't stop shaking my head. Like I said, old school... old soul. I gave him extra for his labor and kindness and walked out before he could resist.This is how you affect change; kindness. It put a skip in my step I hadn't realized had vanished... during Covid; protests; economic contraction... and vowed to "pay it forward" all week.

Very knowledgeable personnel and great service. I went to another plumbing store that had no idea how to help me and this store had my issue resolved in about 30 seconds. They also have a good inventory of parts along with a machine shop. If you have a plumbing issue I highly recommend this place

I went in there to get some parts for my sink faucets. I was able to find parts for my 30+ your sink faucets. They are a lifesaver.

We were ignoring a persistent leak in our DELTA faucet for too long. I finally went to Bonnets Stems & Accessories Inc. Bruce & Tatiana quickly identified the cartridge, informed me on exactly how to replace it including some Plumbers Grease. It couldn't be easier. They have all of the parts that the BBS don't have nor the knowledge.So happy that Bonnets Stems & Accessories Inc. is a true Locally owned company. Davis & Deborah

I stopped in to get help with my bathtub handle. Tatjana was so helpful. She was able to fix the situation with a new set screw and gave me some good advice on how to decalcify the spout. Superior service.

I've been hunting around for months to replace a broken shower door bottom pivot piece. If you live in North Highlands, its the builder original shower installation and this part is prone to break over time. The part has also been out of stock for years.One of the neighbors on NextDoor recommended checking with Bruce. I emailed Bruce and he was able to find a 3D CAD plan for the part and 3D print it for me. I'm out of town currently, but he offered to mail it to me.Very friendly guy.

This is THE place that will solve your plumbing problems. I was repairing an extremely leaky 3 valve shower faucet. After pulling a bad faucet valve and bad diverter valve, the local big box store directed me to Bonnets Stems & Accessories. I was nervous about finding replacement valves because my water was going to be shut off until I did find them. I walked in the door and held up a valve stem to show Bruce (hoping he would give me some reassurance that this could be fixed). He immediately noted the kind of home it had come from and the manufacturer of the faucet, just seeing it in my hand from across the room. At that moment, I knew that I was in the right place and everything was going to be OK. He sold me a new stem for the faucet that was beyond repair, rebuilt my diverter valve, and gave me a few extra tips to ensure the repair was successful. The shower now works great (with no leaks). The repair was pennies on the dollar to what plumbers had quoted for the job. It is ALL thanks to this establishment. I recommend that you save yourself a wasted trip to any other hardware store, and just go straight to Bonnets Stems & Accessories for your plumbing needs. You will get your job done right and save a ton of money.
