Bobo's Restaurant

Great diner. I remember coming here as a youngster from Phoenix for the giant sweet pancakes . One time, as I was devouring a plateful of pancakes, the staff brought out a giant sheet cake to celebrate a cooks bday. They passed out enormous pieces for all the patrons and that was the best day of my young life. Years later I still try to make it to Bobo's whenever I visit with my family.

Food, service, ambiance all 10/10. You can taste the quality of the food and how well it is. Hands down the best chicken fried steak, potatoes, and biscuits and gravy (I switched the toast for biscuits and gravy) I've EVER had. The home feeling you get from this place makes you wanna kiss the chef like you would your momma.

It is my first time here, The food here is great especially the chicken fried chicken lots of flavor and crunchy, I loved the home style potato's they serve, it is full of flavor. The service was good and attentive! It is a bit loud and crowded inside but it's a friendly environment. The only thing that I did not like was the omelette, I had the bobos special but it is just too watery inside for me and the egg was very thin, and lacks flavor. but overall my experience here was great.

The service is great. You might have to wait a bit for a table but omg it is so worth it!! Everything made from scratch. From there biscuits, gravy, pancakes etc. from what I saw everyone plates were looking great and everything looks good.

This is an old fashioned greasy spoon lunch/breakfast place. I had the Old English omelette and it was deliciously greasy and hit the spot. The place is full of regulars but we were treated like family. The server was friendly and the coffee cup water glasses were never far from full. The ambience was delightfully downscale. We went early on a Monday and were seated right away. But their incredibly large parking lot speaks to the popularity of this place during peak times so be prepared to wait.

I'd been wanting to try this place for a while, and I'm glad I finally got the chance to. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, always filling up my water when it got low. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs with 2 sausage links and 2 pieces of bacon, which all was very basic and nothing special. I also got the banana pancake, wish was huge and very tasty. It had banana slices in it with caramelized brown sugar chunks, which made for a great overall pancake!! I was super happy with the sweet portion of my meal and ready to give this place 4 stars, but unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to par. There was a dead cockroach under my table (which I didn't notice until the end of my meal), and that is not acceptable for a dining establishment. So while they have really great pancakes, it seems like they are really lacking on hygiene, and that is the reason for my 2-star rating.

Very disappointed in Bobo's, again. As long time regular customers, the past to visits were made us reconsider frequenting this "popular" breakfast spot. In the past, a new cook being trained ruined our breakfast order (didn't see him still working there). This time the food was again very subpar. Server took order quickly, but we waited a long time for our food. My once favorite Bobo's Special Omelet, the chicken livers, onions, and sour cream was SO SKIMPY and missing all the ingredients; barely any sauteed chicken livers, just a few slices of onion, and practically no sour cream..... this omelet used to be so large I could barley finish it. Server never returned to refill coffee, brought our toast after we were half done eating, and originally forgot our side of salsa (which was absolutely nothing.... a couple of little pieces of tomato chunks, a few diced onions, one small slice of a jalapeno chili pepper, all warmed up to almost a liquid amounting to 3 tiny teaspoons of salsa). A disgrace. My wife's omelet was terrible, thin oily egg, and nothing like the generous portions we used to get at Bobo's.... definitely not worth the money due to mediocre service, value, and food. And the bill had an overcharge for one of our omelets... cashier corrected the amount.

After living in Tucson for a year, I finally stopped in to Bobo's. There was a 45 minute wait and it was well worth it. I fully understand why this place comes so highly recommended. This will be in our weekend breakfast rotation moving forward. It's a quaint place with quick service, clearly know what they are doing to have been in business this long!

A regular Mom and Pop breakfast place. We just got lucky that we beat the crowd. We were seated right away. But a few minutes after getting a table the line got longer. Place is not fancy, I think the owner's idea was just to serve decent food to their customers, and it seemed to be working. People do come here and seemed to enjoy what this place offer. Staff is friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my Chicken Fried Steak and coffee. And took a piece of cinnamon roll to go.

Bobo's is my favorite breakfast place in town. They've been open since dinosaurs roamed the earth, so they're clearing doing things right! Their home fries are my favorite, but the pancakes are absolutely massive, and the ones cooked with cinnamon and sugar are the devil. It carmelizes on the pancake and is just something everyone should experience. I also really like the grilled chicken sandwich with Swiss and green chillies. So good!The waitresses are great, at one point it was 3 generations of women from the owners immediate family. Pretty cool if you ask me!Bobo's is just a local, iconic, breakfast staple in Tucson and if you've never been there, what are you waiting for? Hurry up!
