Beignets were piping hotttt!!!! So deliciously covered in powdered sugar! YUMMINESS! They were the right amount of dough and crispiness! Not gonna lie, we came for the beignets and were SO PLEASED!!!!We were served by Gabriel, he was really nice and very helpful. The inside is really clean, they play nice music too! Clean floors too! I drank water and ordered a hot coffee, Gabriel made it fresh! I only waited a couple of minutes for a nice fresh hot pot and I totally appreciated it!!! Fresh salt and proper mills on the table too, loveeeee!!! Silly as it sounds, I really liked the pickles! The burger on the brioche bun was really fresh, toasty and large enough to share so tasty!!! They raise money for adopted pets to be... And the black Irish Café was named after the owners cute doggy named Iris who is still alive. By the way I guess she's around 13 years old super cute!!!Service was fast and we'd definitely return! this café has a really small town feel but large enough for large parties ! There's an Italian sub sandwich I'd like to try and. Loaded baked potato too!!!Overall I really, reallyyyyy LOVED the experience! Here's a tip, be patient when driving and getting to park, there are a lot of paid inexpensive paid parking spots around. I think it's around a dollar an hour. Totally worth the extra parking, can't wait to return!!

I visited Black Iris for lunch Saturday with friends and was pleasantly surprised with the portion size, prize and quality of our food. We started with the cheese curds (yum!!) and for entrees had the Hawaiian chicken sandwich and angis burger with chili and cheese. The chicken in my sandwich was perfectly booked and the toppings were fresh and nicely balanced. My sandwich was delicious, and my friends very much enjoyed their meals, as well. The price point is impressive and my chicken sandwich cost less than $10 with tax. The space is bright and clean and our server was very friendly and happy to make recommendations. We will definitely be back!

I dropped in here yesterday for an early solo dinner. I had a pulled pork sandwich ($9.99) and a mango drink ($2.99). This is a casual order-at-the-counter diner with an all-American menu. The vibes were fine and the prices reasonable. The drink was large but rather watery. The sandwich came with cole slaw on top of the meat inside the sandwich, and a little tub of gloopy barbecue sauce. Unfortunately, it just wasn't very good. I see no reason to put cole slaw on a pulled pork sandwich, and the sauce was crappy and probably straight from a bottle from the supermarket.

Bright little restaurant on 4th Ave. The food reminds me of the small town diner with a few twists. I had tater tots, cauliflower buffalo wings and tempura Brussel sprouts. My friends had a BLT and fried chicken tenders. We had beignets made fresh with powder sugar sprinkled on top. Everything was made well and I liked that the foods were fried to the right crispness. The service was fast and friendly, and the space is bright and clean. The food menu items aren't going to help your diet (lots of fried stuff), but it's good for an occasional splurge if you're in the neighborhood.

Went in on Saturday afternoon, nobody else was in there. Ordered the daily special, bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink for $11.99 to go. Food came out quick. Burger patty was flavorful and cooked well, bacon was perfect, and veggies were fresh. Seasoned crinkle cut fries were very crispy with a perfect interior. This place doesn't deserve to be empty on a Saturday because food was good portion, cooked fresh with fresh ingredients, and price is more than fair. I'll be returning.

Had lunch here and have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. And it is a nicely bright and clean. The menu is pretty eclectic and there's something for everyone. I had the Cubano sandwich with fries. Their portions were more than generous. And their fries were FANTASTIC! And there were lots of them. If you're down on 4th Avenue give them a try.
