Black Crown Coffee Co.

First time studying here with a friend. Came around the winter time so there's holiday and Christmas decor. This coffee shop feels so cozy!! The hours are longer than other shops, nice for night owls. Seating tends to fill up quickly, but it's do-able to find a place. The wifi and access to outlets were good.They have a good assortment of drinks and a few pastries. I wish they had a little more food options, but it is more so a coffee shop after all.

Came to do some travel planning on a midweek evening. The place was hopping and we almost couldn't get a table - we were lucky to be at the right place when a dude got up and we were able to snag his table. I got a hot cocoa and my partner got a coffee. They were fine, but pricey. I've seen many reviews call this place "cozy" and it is that in both the good and bad ways. It's small and dimly lit, but also not the most comfortable and not my aesthetic. I'm surprised to hear that people enjoy studying here and I wouldn't really want to come here on a date, either. I did find some political newsletters that I was down with, so I'm a fan of that.Not my fave but I'm glad they seem to have a solid following.

I've driven past this place many times and I always see it open late into the evening and full of people. I don't really know of any coffee shops open in the late evening and I don't count Starbucks, so I was fascinated by it and decided to finally check it out.I'll start off by saying that parking is very limited here. It was a Thursday evening at 6:30 pm so I can't imagine how hard parking must be on the weekends. I came back through twice and no luck. I there there is maybe 6-7 parking spots. I ended up parking the car far away on a residential street and walking.When I got in the seating was mostly full. I am glad that have an upstairs as every bit of space helps. I found the coffee place to feel very cozy. The spiral staircase to go upstairs seemed a little scary. First thing I noticed is that they have many large tables capable of seating 4-6 people but several spots only had 1-2 people sitting there. I was in the coffee shop for a while and this seemed to be normal. They could benefit from a better layout of smaller tables as I felt we got very lucky finding a seat for a party of two. I didn't see any parties bigger than 2-3 people. The 4-6 person tables seemed to have an electrical outlet next to them and a light overhead, but I didn't see it on our 2 person table making it hard to read in this dark, cozy coffee shop. WiFi was good and they provide the password on a sign so you don't have to ask. The baristas and service were great. No complaints. Service with a smile. Coffee was good, but kinda overpriced. While I enjoyed my coffee, the lack of parking and seating affected my overall experience, especially with the higher prices. As much as I like to support a local business, I kinda don't wanna deal with the parking and seating, so just make note if you're going. However, I do have to say that I love the late hours.

I didn't eat anything here. I had the black widow coffee and it was smooth, good flavor. I wish the price wasn't so high but that's the theme of everywhere. And make the large actually large. Mine was more a medium. The service was nice. Parking awful. I haven't gone till now because of the parking. Inside is cozy and a good spot to sit and chat or do school. Would return

Strong cold brew and no up-charge for plant milk :) It was about $4 for a 16oz cold brew with almond milk and $1 for a refill. It was strong which was just what I needed! They only have one vegan pastry option, and they said it changes about once a season - I'd like to see more options. It was about $4.50 for an orange muffin and it wasn't very good :( a bit small and dry. We went there midday on a Tuesday and it was not crowded. Although parking was limited and slightly confusing. The baristas were nice with answering all my coffee/food questions. All the tables seemed to have good access to outlet for electronics - the WiFi did start slowing down once it got more crowded, but overall good ambience. I would go back if I needed somewhere to work during the less busy times.

Laidback, funky coffeeshop with different tables and nooks to get work done. When we came in the afternoon, we actually couldn't find a free table and took our drink outdoors. There's a surprisingly a large variety of specialty sweet drinks on the menu, which would be great for those who enjoy sweeter coffees (like mochas). I tried an iced latte and it was decent. Service was a bit slow.

I always enjoy going to Black Crown when I've got to hunker down and study. Most of the people I come across are also studying, so it makes for a nice atmosphere. I really appreciate that Black Crown supports local artists and community engagement. Not only do they have unique, fun coffees, but they also are a great part of the community!

This being one of the only coffee shops open late it really does stink when the lady at the counter looks visibly bothered by your presence while taking your order. The coffee drinks are unique and usually really good. This last visit was so bad I'm really bummed to have to find another shop.

Late night latte option, pastries & snacks available. Fun ambiance! Definitely nice service every time .

I LOVE coffee and the iced Black widow I had was so delicious. The inside was super cool and seems to be a great place for young adults to hangout in. The service was good. The gentleman was nice. I don't live in Tucson but when I go back I will swing in again, even though parking is a huge pain.
